  1. We use a Medline foldable transport chair. I can easily lift it in and out of our car. Folds up to fit in the cabin easily.
  2. On the smaller ships, there are limited options for night snacks. Opening the WJ would fill that void.
  3. This has been our experience too on our 2 Oasis cruises out of NJ.
  4. We cruised with him several times with both wives(not together) on the Jewel.
  5. That happened to us on Celebrity on an 18 day cruise. Everyday a pile of dishes was outside our door. We told our stateroom attendant and he watched to see who did it. Once he found out, he placed a large pile of dishes outside their door. It was a genius idea as we never saw dishes at our door again.
  6. I was on a cruise in May and had to go to medical twice for a non-covid problem. There were several covid cases on board. Most of them were given nebulizer treatments. None of the ones I spoke to were offered paxlovid.
  7. On the Anthem in May, I had morning service. My stateroom attendant insisted on bringing me ice twice a day(I only requested once). Also had my compass and towel animals on my bed regularly. I put my disposable water bottles next to my trash can. Everytime I saw my attendant in the hall, he asked if there was anything I needed. Service was excellent.
  8. When we've been in Cape Liberty with a wheelchair, we were directed to the far left after security(suites lounge). Someone came up to us with an ipad to check us in there. We did not have to go to a desk to check in. We boarded with the suites.
  9. The key to the show is the person who plays Spectra. I've seen 3 different ones and found the feeling of the show to be very different. One had a flamboyant Spectra which kept the emphasis on him. Another one let the cast be the stars of the show. The 3rd one was somewhere in the middle an it made the show kind of blah. The aerialists are coming back so that should be helpful.
  10. We've seen dogs on the ship in San Juan also. They were walking the halls with their handlers and a RC officer. When we board early, I like to watch the dogs working outside. They not only sniff the luggage but also all the food that comes on the ship. In some countries, they also sniff everything coming off the ship including passengers.
  11. 2 cruises to Alaska and never needed a blanket. I'm sure you can get one if you ask.
  12. You can start your wifi at any time you wish and it lasts for 24 hours. We always do mid-afternoon so it covers 2 days.
  13. We've been on many cruises with groups up to 500 people. Most were friendly and polite. Only group that was a problem was a certain sports fans group on Celebrity(105 people) who were loud, roudy and took over everything(trivia, game shows etc.). The drink package was included in their booking, so that may account for some of their behavior.
  14. If you plan to take a taxi, a little Spanish may help. Some of the drivers aren't English speakers. As an option, you can hand them the address of where you are going on a piece of paper.
  15. I didn't take the tram. Can't remember how much free time we had but i walked through the entire town and stopped in many stores and the church. Also had a cocktail and lunch with friends.
  16. I did this tour in October. You have plenty of free time to walk around, shop and even have some lunch. I don't think it took 1.5 hours. Seemed shorter.
  17. Why is the ship leaving? The image is of the back of the ship instead of the front.
  18. We did the ship's tour and loved it. It was very windy and slippery on the glacier. Tour guide made sure everyone was comfortable.
  19. For our May 1 cruise, many confirmed upgrades were sent out by email 60 days prior to the cruise. I believe they were all for balcony cabins.
  20. Unfortunately we are not allowed in the kitchen to see how our food is prepared. I have over 50 cruises and only had this issue twice with RC. Had it many times with Celebrity and won't cruise with them again.
  21. I did ask for a steak plain without any sides. Didn't find out until I had a reaction that they just took the seafood off the plate. I spoke to the waiter, head waiter etc. about the problem. They said they understood.
  22. I do. I also fill out the special needs form and talk to the various waiters etc. I don't have problems in the MDR. The LA's don't seem to have any control over the menu. I even had one walk into the luncheon with me and I still was only offered shellfish. She tried to explain to several people, that I couldn't eat it, but got very frustrated because no one seemed to listen to her. Funny, but not so funny, thing was they offered to substitute lobster for the shrimp. I ended up eating a wedge salad as my meal.
  23. What don't you understand? The steak touched the shrimp, before they removed the shrimp from the plate, and I had to go to medical with my epi-pen because I had a reaction.
  24. The steak is pre-plated with the shellfish. If you ask for no shellfish they just take it off. I know because I had an allergic reaction because the steak had touched the shellfish.
