    Agree. It's a safety hazard.

On our most recent cruise, someone placed their tray full of dirty plates, utensils, glasses, and leftover food outside the hallway, next to our cabin door. (I nearly tripped on it)

The second time it happened, I called guest services and asked if they can look at the ship's video and find out who's placing the tray next to our cabin door. Her response was basically "We don't have time to do that".

So I politely said "What if I had tripped on it and hit my head on the wall...would you then have time to look at it? I then told her I'm visually impaired.

    * Thankfully, no more trays after that.

That happened to us on Celebrity on an 18 day cruise.  Everyday a pile of dishes was outside our door.  We told our stateroom attendant and he watched to see who did it.  Once he found out, he placed a large pile of dishes outside their door.  It was a genius idea as we never saw dishes at our door again.

  2. The key to the show is the person who plays Spectra.  I've seen 3 different ones and found the feeling of the show to be very different.  One had a flamboyant Spectra which kept the emphasis on him.  Another one let the cast be the stars of the show.  The 3rd one was somewhere in the middle an it made the show kind of blah.

The aerialists are coming back so that should be helpful.

Glad to hear free laundry bag pp for Diamond Plus wasn’t taken away. I was reading that chart someone posted on the various levels of benefits and it appeared to me that it was just a $10 discount. On Celebrity at doesn’t matter if you were diamond or diamond plus. Both categories are lumped together and have the same perks.  I personally don’t think their perks are as good as Royal Caribbean‘s. Also hope RCI does not start cutting back. However, I do wish Royal Caribbean would change it’s free 24 hours of Wi-Fi perk and make it so it begins at whatever time of day sign in to it the first time and then it ends 24 hours from that time. On Celebrity, you didn’t have to use the 24 hours all within an actual 24 hrs. You could stretch it out into segments over the entire week if you wanted to.

You can start your wifi at any time you wish and it lasts for 24 hours.  We always do mid-afternoon so it covers 2 days.

  4. We've been on many cruises with groups up to 500 people.  Most were friendly and polite.   Only group that was a problem was a certain sports fans group on Celebrity(105 people) who were loud, roudy and took over everything(trivia, game shows etc.).  The drink package was included in their booking, so that may account for some of their behavior.

Thank you! I’m not sure how it would be faster, but that would be great if that’s the case! Spending 3 hours of a 5.5 hour excursion in a bus doesn’t seem fun, honestly.

Is it enough time to take the tram down to Isola Bella, do you think? Did you feel it was worth the money as opposed to just exploring Ortigia?

I didn't take the tram.  Can't remember how much free time we had but i walked through the entire town and stopped in many stores and the church.  Also had a cocktail and lunch with friends.

If something I am about to eat could kill me, you better believe that I'm going to know how it was prepared. Its no one else's responsibility.

Unfortunately we are not allowed in the kitchen to see how our food is prepared.  I have over 50 cruises and only had this issue twice with RC.  Had it many times with Celebrity and won't cruise with them again.

Oh, I understand. IMHO you should have specifically asked for a steak on a clean plate. You accepted what they offered without insisting that the understand your situation.

I did ask for a steak plain without any sides.  Didn't find out until I had a reaction that they just took the seafood off the plate.  I spoke to the waiter, head waiter etc. about the problem.  They said they understood.

Lakelorain, just a polite suggestion...if you plan on attending the lunch, perhaps you should let the LA know about your allergies in advance so they'll have something for you.

I do.  I also fill out the special needs form and talk to the various waiters etc.  I don't have problems in the MDR.  The LA's don't seem to have any control over the menu.  I even had one walk into the luncheon with me and I still was only offered shellfish.  She tried to explain to several people, that I couldn't eat it, but got very frustrated because no one seemed to listen to her.  Funny, but not so funny, thing was they offered to substitute lobster for the shrimp.  I ended up eating a wedge salad as my meal.
