  1. I agree with you completely.  After 5 cruises(55 days) on Celebrity, I said, no more.  Celebrity does a good job when everything is going along smoothly.  However, when there is a problem, they close their eyes and hope it will go away.  After seeing a lady break her leg because of their negligence and making us stand in the pouring rain for 3 hours, I had enough.  Those were only 2 of the issues we encountered on our Celebrity cruises.  I can list at least a dozen more. but I won't because those who like Celebrity will refuse to believe me.

  2. Our family has nut, shellfish, lamb, soy and cocoa butter allergies along with Celiac's(gluten free).  Never have a problem.  I notify them ahead of time and the first night the head waiter along with our 2 waiters meet with us to set up a routine for us.  Several times, the head of the gluten free kitchen came over and offered us a tour.

  3. We've had an annual policy with Allianz for many years.  $475 for 2/ 74 year olds.  We made claims twice.  Both were paid within a few weeks.

However, as stated above, each state regulates insurance sold within that state so you have to read the fine print.  I purchase Allianz from their website.

I can't switch to T-Mobile but I have read that their  internationalservice is better than 2G. Does 2G actually still exist anymore? Here is the US the carriers are turning off 3G.

I use T-Mobile and only have problems with it being slow in countries that don't have a very good communnications infrastructure(some islands).  In large countries it works fine.  Works especially well in Europe since it's a German company.

  5. My phone case is a wallet that has 3 card slots and a cash slot.  If I don't have enough pockets, I carry the phone.  It's my camera, holds my seapass card in one slot, mask in 2nd slot and a magnifier(credit card size) in the 3 slot.  Plus I can keep money for tips in the cash slot.  I like to carry my phone for access to the Cruise Compass so it's with me most of the time.

  6. Attended Jewelry making classes years ago.  There was a fee.  You received a generic jewelry making kit and the supplies to make one set of jewelry.  You had a choice between 2 different sets.  The classes were very popular so you had to get there early to secure a seat.  There were only a limited number of kits available.  I can't remember what the fee was but it was well worth it.

  7. Ok, I'm the oldest on this post, 74.  I have 5 solo cruises booked this year to a variety of countries.  You have to know your limitations.  I always try to walk at least 2 miles a day during the month before my cruises so I build up my stamina.  I also try to do long cruise or b2b's so the crew gets to know me and looks out for me.  Age shouldn't hold you back if you can physically and mentally handle the cruise you select.

  8. We had NAAT tests for adults because that is all that is available where we live.  The paperwork said PCR/NAAT test.  When we boarded 2 different RC reps. said we didn't need the PCR test because we are vaccinated and an antigen test was fine.  We explained the PCR/NAAT test was all that was available and they both said the PCR/NAAT test was preferred over the antigen but not necessary.  We got our results in 6 hours.

  9. We stayed at a hotel through Royal in 2009.  It was the Doubletree in Miami.  Transportation to the port was included.  Price was discounted but it was one of the most expensive hotels in the area at the time.   Also, there were 3 bus loads of cruisers at the hotel and we all got to the terminal at the same time so we waited in long lines.  Check in took a lot longer then.

  10. There is a lot to do in Bermuda right at the port.  There's a fort, museum, beach, swimming with dolphins, shopping, mini golf etc.  Also there is a ferry in addition to a public bus that takes you to Hamilton and St. George.  No need for any excursions.  Check out a Bermuda tourism site to narrow down what you want to do so you can plan.  If you want to do an excursion, the tour of Bermuda that RC offers gives you a good overview of the entire island.

  11. We've done 28 days on a b2b.  You each get 1 bag per cruise.  That was 4 bags for us.  We divided our stuff by darks and lights.  Put underwear, pj's, polo shirts, t-shirts, socks, shorts and capris in the bags.  Washed out a few things and sent 2 pair of slacks to the regular laundry.  We had 1, 20" suitcase each and I had a small back pack for our valuables and paperwork.  Worked fine.
