Depending on which policy one chooses, annual insurance offers little to no cancellation coverage. It does not work for everyone. That is true. Allianz annual is great for medical and medical evacuation but only covers certain cancelation fees per policy per year. I have alot of experience with this for the families I work for.

They said everything. I asked about things like excursions and drink packages (etc)....I was assured everything. Again....I won't see anything for quite some time so I can't confirm from experience yet.
I guess I'm not following. If you don't have insurance but are still getting a full refund I don't understand what the issue is.

Get 2 connecting rooms. I would not put 4 in a room no matter the ages. You don't need to get a suite.

We were on oasis last June and saw a great styx cover band. We will cruise on oasis again in a few weeks so a little disappointed but will find other great things to do. Love the shows (except cats lol) and love the music in the schooner bar.

No must have missed that one. I only have so much time for this nonsense.
I really should be working now but the 15 pages about half and half is just so intriguing.

Sometimes I complain about the things my kids do..... doesn't mean I want them out of my life or to trade for new ones.......
Well it seems like the milk vs half and half debacle is a game changer. Lol

Just really curious why all the complainers and people who think that RC lied, blah blah blah, why they still cruise with them? If it's so bad give your money elsewhere.

Please let's keep this topic going for another 20 pages. Maybe it will surpass the shorts in the dining room and gratuity discussion thread.

I don’t know why people always get so worked up about sleeping 5 in a cabin. We did it in 2019 and our kids were 9, 5, and 4 at the time. We were absolutely fine and we got a fantastic deal. Yes, it is cozy with the beds me but they were easy to put back and we had no issues. As the PPer mentioned, it is 2 on the couch bed and then a drop down bunk and the king bed.
This upcoming cruise we have booked, it was cheaper to do 2 rooms bc of a guarantee rate.
To each his own.

Good luck with that. Wouldn't put more than 2 people in those rooms. We get 2 connecting balcony neighborhood rooms always.

There are other choices to eat dinner. Solarium Bistro, windjammer buffet, El Loco Fresh, Park Cafe, plus plenty of pay restaurants. It would just be one night's deviation from the MDR.
Yes I am totally aware of this having cruised royal many times.

It's listed in Royal app as 8:00 - 8:30 for Aug 13th sailing.
But, it's listed as 7:30 for the current sailing.
Yes it's strange. It affects 2 of my entertainment reservations. Maybe I'll try calling tomorrow.

any cruise that has 3 or more days consecutive at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise.
Any children younger than the infant policy will be denied boarding. This is in royal Caribbean‘s rulebook. Know my question.
let’s say a cruise leaves Miami then has 2 sea days. Would that be counted as 3 sea days?
thanksNot trying to be nasty, but why don't you just call Royal Caribbean and ask and not rely on people on here that may give you the wrong answer?

We signed up for traditional 8 pm dining (not MTD) on our upcoming Oasis sailing August 13th - 20th. One of our documents on the website says 7:30 dining. Can anyone who's been on Oasis recently confirm that the late dining is in fact 7:30 and not 8? This affects the escape room reservation that I made for 7 pm one night.
TIA.

Just read your post again. Yes, I agree that pre-existing conditions probably doesn't matter with death. I was thinking in my head trip interruption or cancellation due to sickness. Death is probably a totally different thing. I was responding to a blanket statement that pre-existing conditions don't matter to non-traveling family members. I do think that they still matter for illnesses or conditions, but probably just not death.
Sorry but I don't believe that's true either.

Yes, insurance policies are contract with individuals, but when the individual makes a claim under a policy for something that "happens" to a covered person under the policy (e.g. a family member), then I think that pre-existing conditions do come into play.
Without getting into details, it was really important when I recently purchased an insurance policy that pre-existing coverage was included not only for myself, but for immediate family members, many of whom have pre-existing conditions. If we had to interrupt or cancel our trip due to a family member going into the hospital or passing away, if the condition was pre-existing and there was no coverage, then I'm sure the claim would be denied. By making sure that the policy included coverage for pre-existing conditions, I am told by my agent that prior medical condition(s) don't even come into consideration when making a claim.
Sorry you're wrong about this. Pre-existing conditions relate to who's cruising not the person at home who dies.

I'm pretty sure that you are correct. I never heard of it pertaining to the deceased.
Exactly!

They just opened up for Oasis August 13th today.

and hoping that his passing wasn't due to a pre-existing condition, if in fact the insurance policy had a waiver of pre-existing condition for non-traveling family members.
I do not think you are correct on this. The pre-existing condition refers to the cruise passengers who take out the insurance, not the loved ones at home who passed away.

Glad to see there's a new production. We were on Oasis last June and this will be great that it's new.

Went there last June. I don't remember the cost of chairs and umbrellas, though. We are planning on going again in August.

Cats is what it is. A traditional musical. It's well done if you like that type of show. And much shorter than the original.
We sailed on Oasis last June and are going on it again in August. I love all the shows except I refused to see Cats. I go to Broadway NYC quite often and skipped it while it was on Broadway too. Not the show for me.
Don't assume...read the information

The most Allianz insures for cancellation costs is $15k per policy per year and is reflected in the premium. The benefit of that policy is really for medical and medical evacuation as it covers unlimited trips per year as long as no one trip is greater than 90 days.
