Not all whiz bang "enhancements" dreamed up by whiz kids to look busy and justify their jobs are really enhancements.  Case in point - the light for the closet that one used to be able to turn on and off on your own is now on a motion sensor.  Looks good on paper, sounds good at the presentation.

In reality, the first night on my cruise the darn thing kept turning itself on all night. The clothes in the closet were swinging back and forth and setting it off.

The next day I fixed it.  Wrapped a little painters tape around the sensor.  When I need the light, I reach up and move the tape a little and the light comes on. It's on a timer, so it goes off on its own.

Your comment made my day, I’m still laughing. So many stupid ideas companies come up with these days I think the same thing they hired someone new and they have nothing to do so they come up with crazy ideas that make no sense. Thank you for making my day!

The person at the excursion desk said that there will be a decision made either this evening or tomorrow for the stop scheduled for the 11th.

    Thanks keep us posted.

  4. We will be there on the Royal Feb 6. Hope we receive updates from Princess, but the cruise lines always seem to be slow with updating passengers. We usually find out mor from the passengers. It’s a sad situation for Mexico and it’s people.

  5. Can someone tell me the measurements of the shelves in the mini suite cabins bathrooms? the one I'm referring too are the ones on the wall above the sink. mainly width at front and depth at deepest point. i know this is silly but i have some triangle shape baskets I would like to use so need to know if they will fit.

If I want a west coast get away, with, as you say, little or no air travel, I'm pretty much on Princess which, from October-April has a few ships in LA.  I too wish there were more choices.

We are doing Princess Mexican Riviera  out of San Francisco end of January for that very reason. We live in Bay Area and it will be nice not to fly or get a hotel. Haven’t been on a Princess ship in 50 years so this will be interesting as we’ve just been doing Celebrity.

This sailing is currently showing no Balconies in any Cat available. It is in final payment so my question is what is the possibility of Balconies becoming available? Would a group cancel in final payment and if the final payment is missed how long will Celebrity keep a cabin booked until they release it for sale. Seems unusual for all balconies to be sold this far out from the sailing date.

Our Europe May sailing only category left is inside, more than 6 months out. Something may open but I think you would have to check everyday to see if there was cancellation. Good luck!

  8. We at least received a phone call informing us that our March 23,2024 12 night Caribbean cruise had been cancelled . We were offered March 11, 2024 sailing as replacement keeping our price and perks with a bonus $850 OBC. So pretty happy with that although other sailing would have been better for because we could have spent March 11 spring break with grandkids prior to cruise. I just wonder how many people haven’t been told about the change?

That's an awfully long span for what appears to be about a six inch I-Beam of aluminum on eaither side of the treads.  Even in pristine condition it appears to have been quite steep for all but the heartiest of passengers.

I agree it looks more like a slide than a gangway.
