I have not been on royal Caribbean but I have done many Celebrity. Four adults in one balcony cabin for me would be a little squishy, they are just under 200 ft.². One thing you might want to think about is getting a family veranda cabin they actually have two bedrooms. One large bedroom with a king size bed A smaller bedroom with two bunkbeds and a pull out couch it is very large has a dining room and a large balcony as well and they are cheaper and larger then suites. I have stayed in them they are fantastic!

Good news, unless you are talking suites, the overhead lockers remain in the cabins after the revolution. In fact, excluding suites, everything remains except for the "soft" furnishings and general colour scheme. No new electrics, no usb points, no power by the beds, no shower cubicles. New mattresses (very comfy).

Perhaps you should give your DH the choice of: storing things under the bed or in the overhead lockers and see which he prefers.

So happy they kept overhead storage.

  3. We were on Eclipse last September, we just loved her. I was happy she hadn’t been revolutionized yet. We recently sailed on Crown Princess and definitely didn’t like the way the ship was set up. No really good public spaces and a lot of dead ends. You will love the Sky Lounge and Solarium pool area.we find her to be a beautiful ship . Enjoy!

  4. Dubrovnik is one of our favorite ports. It is easy to do on your own unless you prefer to take a tour. You can walk the the wall and stroll thru the town, no need for tour. Another favorite activity we like is to go to the Buza Bar on the outside of the wall . It is terraced on a cliff with spectacular views especially at sunset. You can also take a boat to Cavtat and enjoy lunch at one of the oceanfront cafes.  Rick Steve’s Dubrovnik guide also has a lot of information . We hope you enjoy!

The Getaway/Breakaway deck plan has an indent that shows which part of the stateroom is wider. The bed is wherever the wider part is for your club balcony category.

HOWEVER, there have been several errors found in certain parts of the deck plan where the indent is in the wrong place and the bed information is incorrect. There are also some errors shown under stateroom details when booking.

One thing that you can be fairly sure of is if the stateroom sleeps 4, the bed is near the balcony and the sofa bed (and pullman) is near the closet.

If it sleeps 3, the bed can be in either location but most "sleeps 3" are bed near closet.

The configurations do tend to alternate but there are also cases of the same configuration "back to back" and the pattern branches out from there. Also, wheelchair accessible staterooms can throw off the pattern because of their unique shape/configuration.

    Thank you

  6. Thank you for info, will be taking granddaughter on belated High School Grad trip delayed by Covid. She’s 21 now and chose NCL cruise because of itinerary. I had many of those same questions about free at sea. Definitely not the case with them, unlike Princess and Celebrity which they’re all inclusive includes tips, unlimited Wi-Fi and drink package that also includes tips. We will still enjoy and make the best of it. We’ve had this cruise booked 3 times before and yes each time there were itinerary changes as well as port times on each of those before we had to cancel. Hoping for the best as ports are good as well as times.
