  1. And just to be clear... I'm not the one (or the ones) who made a declarative statement that a drinks on us offer would be for one person only; I simply stated what my experience had been.
  2. That has not been my experience. In fact, just recently I sailed on a casino offer on Pride's transatlantic cruise and the drinks on us provision specifically stated that it was for me and a companion.
  3. For what purpose? Nothing changes the fact that I was given the obc. If you're upset that people are being granted shareholder credit when you don't believe they should be, perhaps you should complain to the department that is granting such credit. FWIW, I would not have been upset if my request had been denied (as apparently has happened to others), but I'm certainly not going to apologize for receiving it. Or are you of the (ridiculous) opinion that I should refuse to accept it even though they are offering it?
  4. Your "understanding" is incorrect. And repeating it over and over doesn't make it any less incorrect. For the record, I will be boarding Pride next week for a 13-nite transatlantic cruise in a veranda cabin that I booked in February on a $100pp casino offer that included $200obc. And contrary to your assertions, I applied for and received an additional $100obc as a shareholder benefit.
  5. Conversely, I booked a "free" 13-day transatlantic cruise last week on a casino rate ($100pp with $200 obc) and received an additional shareholder credit of $100 obc two days after I submitted my request.
  6. I'm sorry I don't recall. I do remember that when I called the number on the postcard I received in the mail, the agent told me that there were two similar codes that could be applied to the cruise I was booking; they were both $100pp with $200 total obc and "drinks on us" in the casino, but one was for a veranda cabin that was expiring that day, and one was for an outside cabin that wasn't expiring until the end of the month. We chose the veranda cabin even though we weren't sure at that moment if we could go. IIRC, one code had a C in the middle and one code had a D in the middle with the other two letters in the codes being identical. But that's all I remember (and I'm not even positive about that.) I don't see a code on my booking confirmation, but I can ask my pvp the next time I speak with him.
  7. That's similar to the offer I just booked under. Thirteen day April transatlantic in a balcony cabin for $100pp and $200 obc. I then submitted the info for the $100 shareholder credit and was approved. So now we have $300 in obc. It may clearly say no in the rules, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is a waste of time, as my recent experience demonstrates.
  8. Same here. We booked an April transatlantic cruise last week and I received the $100 credit within 2 days of submitting the requisite information. And I wasn't even sure I would qualify for the obc because we booked under a casino rate and only paid $100pp for the cruise itself.
  9. That is correct. I'm sailing on a Windstar cruise departing from Athens on October 26th and I was notified last week by Windstar that Greece had dropped the requirement effective immediately.
