  1. Then that is certainly new and an update from our NYE cruise. Also would make the D+ BOGO planning easier as well. Thanks.
  2. @coachmike1959, specialty dining can only reserved in advance for individual restaurant purchases, not with multi night dining packages. Dining packages will be assigned a placeholder when booked through the planner for night one or two at a restaurant, which can be confirmed or changed along with reserving the rest of the weeks' dining once on board through any of the SR's maître d's. My understanding is there is discussion about having that process changed to allow reservations with dining packages to be made on the planner. But none of that was in place with our NYE Oasis cruise, and everything was still done on board as described. Not aware of that changing yet.
  3. Just want to confirm that the 844 number you provide is correct, M-F, 8:00 - 5:00. And I agree that a phone call to them is the best suggestion as, unless things have changed, as you mention PJ is not advertised as, or usually tied directly to, any other tour.
  4. Never been an issue with us and enjoy the location for the view.
  5. I was keeping you anonymous in case you preferred not to be identified. Figured you would probably see the thread and respond.
  6. This has been asked before and one poster has reported on two similar threads recently that they have used it for lunch several times. They have indicated that in their opinion it is a good value based, as examples, on the lunch menu offerings at both Chops and Giovanni's. They may see this thread and my response and confirm...
  7. I agree. It definitely is a team thing but I though it was well done. I know the clue to which you refer and it took a couple of good minds to crack it. One other was a bit obscure and I, of course, was the one who missed it at first - LOL. @OceanCruise it is a themed room with many live clues and props. We did it on our NYE cruise and at the time I think it was $35 pp booked in advance on the planner, and there were a several days and times to choose from. It is challenging enough to make the effort worthwhile, but solveable so that you can get it done. In our case there was a crew member host who stayed in the room with us and started things off. If you got stumped she was willing to provide a bit of a nudge or clue to assist, but did not interfere. About half of our group were first timers and the rest had done them before. We solved it with only a few seconds left but all thought it was fun.
  8. I recall you now. We have never used it for lunch and was just curious about that. Thanks.
  9. You can sign any device into either account - one account first, then the other.
  10. Not only would that likely be less expensive, you can select a wine of preference versus that which may be offered by Celebrity. You can also give them two if you want, or keep the second for you.
  11. Hopefully these experiences are not a sign of things to come. As I indicated we have done this, as you also suggest, many times in the past and were able to successfully do this on Oasis for NYE. (In fact we were able to share the benefit with traveling companions who are Diamond - they just split the cost with us and we both equally benefited). But our next RCCL cruise is not until October 2025. Guess we'll see then. It would be a shame if this is changing as that flexibility IMO is what has made the bogo most worthwhile in the past.
  12. It can be a hassle. Especially when you are combining a dining package with the bogo. We always head to one of the SR's soon after boarding and have that maître d take care of our reservations for the week. May just depend on the maître d at the time and his ability to manage and balance things. I guess we've been fortunate as we have not had issues with the bogo.
  13. We pay for the full bogo with the first reservation on day one or two and they then schedule the second night for any later day. They have never required us to do both on day one and two. We have done this many times without a problem. The key is having the bogo for both of us charged in full to our account with the first reservation. At least that is how we have always done it, the most recent with our NYE cruise this year on Oasis. I am not challenging your experience, only telling you ours.
  14. That was exactly as the couple we encountered regarding Barbados explained it. Two full cruises were required to be paid for so that a stateroom would be assigned to them for both cruises, even though it would be occupied one one way between San Juan and Barbados on each cruise. They explained that this was their honeymoon and they wanted a two week holiday that would combine a cruise and a week in Barbados. The purchase of two cruises, the first to get them there and the second to complete the round trip, was how they accomplished it.
  15. Yes - they want the first reservation made for night one or two, but the second can be any other day during the week. That day one or two option helps when you also have a dining package and need to balance both first dining reservations.
  16. I am not familiar with that and as I indicated, I only read on another similar thread where a poster indicated they had used the BOGO for lunch as well. But that is the first I had heard of it and it does raise a question as the T's & C's say to be used for dinner. Maybe others can confirm.
  17. I was a bit confused as well and to add, Eclipse comes to Boston after completing her Bermuda itineraries from Cape Liberty just for the August and September itineraries I indicated.
  18. They will move you to any same sub-category stateroom as that assigned based on availability. You just have to contact whomever you booked through and they will confirm availability. Once moved, that is you new stateroom and an updated booking confirmation will be issued to reflect that. Have done that several times including last week.
  19. I doubt they are changing the shows. Hairspray is the Broadway based show and they typically only change those when the ship is in drydock. The Aqua Theater and Ice shows also are long running. Not sure why they are not showing, however.
  20. Eclipse has 11 night Boston closed loop Canada cruises in August and September. She then repositions to Port Everglades, FL for closed loop Southern Caribbean cruises from there.
  21. It is a 30% discount on WiFi packages and upgrades and 90 complimentary premium minutes. Yes, you sign up on board to create a WiFi account.
  22. They are typically around 7 and 9 PM, +/- based on actual early and late dining times on board. But they, as you will recall, dovetail the production shows with the dining times. And the shows run about 45 minutes or so, typically. I'm sure others can correct me and give you more accurate information.
