  1. Relative to the wine, it's pretty simple. The policy is specified as at original port of embarkation for consumption during the cruise, and it is limited to two bottles per stateroom. If they allowed it at every port of call that would in essence defeat the two bottle on board consumption limitation by having it replenished at each port of call. As mentioned they will confiscate and hold any alcohol brought on at any port of call to be returned to your stateroom on the last night of the cruise.
  2. They will have no opportunity to share in any of your Diamond+ benefits. However, as mentioned the priority seating opens to the general public about 10 minutes prior to the show. It was also mentioned that they may not check everyone's SeaPass at the priority seating, but they will want to see someone's. Once you show yours if they are with you they may not ask to see theirs. We've seen that happen before.
  3. Sign up on board is fine. As suggested, just see the Loyalty Ambassador on the ship. They typically have desk hours at a location near the Next Cruise office. As mentioned, your points are earned on each cruise and accrued for your tier totals after each cruise is completed. Any change in tier level is recognized on the subsequent cruise from which is was reached.
  4. Not arguing, but IMO you are essentially making the same indictment. Possibly one questionable vetting situation on one ship and you are casting dispersion on the whole process. Nothing is about the process with all cruise lines.
  5. There are many good ones with a range of prices. If you use google maps for FLL and search hotels in the area, dozens will be shown. Within a few miles of the airport they are all in decent areas and you can recognize the brands to make a choice. This will also show restaurants in the area. Many have port shuttles and Uber / Lyft are prolific in that area. Just a suggestion for searching options.
  6. RCCL indicates that with North American sailings, no one under 21 can be booked in a room without an adult. So you would have to book on parent with each teen on the GTY. Once assigned and on board, you may be able to switch who is in the rooms and have guest services provide additional room keys, But given that the rooms likely won't be near each other, they likely may not allow it. I'm also not sure it would be good to have the two teens together and away from their parents. I'm sure they are wonderfully behaved. What parents wouldn't think that? So were mine. But they are teens and I'm not sure that would be a good idea for a number of valid reasons. And as wonderful as mine were, I would not have done that even if the cruise line said it was OK.
  7. Sorry. I guess I misunderstood. Our accounts have always been linked together from when we first cruised so I guess I was confused.
  8. It most likely was a standard maintenance dry dock which would also include carpet, paint, perhaps some furniture replacement, routine repairs, and other like items. But I doubt beyond that anything significant was done or added to the ship.
  9. When you make a reservation and enter the CC number for the names on the reservation, each person receives their points and are linked with that reservation.
  10. Booking together with the same reservation number in the same stateroom, same last name, etc., means that yes, you will both receive the same points on each of your accounts individually for that cruise.
  11. To clarify, none of the outside agents, security, or counter check in people at the terminal are Celebrity employees. They are all 3rd party contract employees. And in our experience they are always the ones who screen carry on's, check passports and boarding docs, and complete the check in process. There are Celebrity reps "on call" who can come to assist with individual issues. But you would typically only deal with them if there is an issue that could compromise, or prevent, a boarding. Normally the first Celebrity reps you deal with are those on board who greet you on the ship.
  12. Our lowest CocoCay count was on one of the first cruises after the restart on Oasis. There were only 1,100 passengers on board and we were the only ship there, which then made CocoCay truly feel like a deserted island like in the 90's is once was. Not to mention the feeling on the ship! Since then we've watched as it has rebuilt to today's level of two full Oasis class ships at once there.
  13. IMO if it is good weather, the likelihood is it will feel crowded. It has been crowded in some of our recent experiences with smaller ships in port with an Oasis class ship. It also would depend on how many remain on board. CocoCay to my understanding was designed to handle 12,000+ people (two Oasis class ships) but that would be maximum capacity. Different experiences may vary.
  14. That should only occur if you actually have cruised more than she, or if cruise points were somehow missed on one or more of her cruises with you. But it also could be the result of yours being calculated incorrectly. You can call Captains Club for a review of their records to resolve the difference. But a word of caution: if your additional points were awarded to you by error, they can reduce your points accordingly to match hers. I say that as your situation is similar to friends of ours (with RCCL points) and when they checked they found out the the extra points were calculated in error by the cruise line and they reduced the higher ones as a result, which changed their status. Moral of the story is unless you are sure yours are correct, perhaps leave well enough alone as you share the benefits of your higher points.
  15. Your birthdate is what is entered on the reservation at the time of booking. Age at the time of sailing as calculated based on that. But as mentioned previously, other than with a specific promotion such as kids sail free (which in our experience has always been 12 and under), the 3rd and 4th passenger fares are not age based, but are fixed fares based on a given sailing. So unless a promo such as that is in place there will be no difference in fare for the 3rd or 4th passengers based on age.
  16. We like lobster in various offerings a few of times a year at one or two restaurants, and typically only if it is Maine lobster. But never at home. Relative to a cruise discussion, we avoid the poor facsimile of anything that would be called "lobster" offered in most mass market MDR's. Many years ago it was pretty good, but in recent years, no way. Don't get the hype! There are a coupe of specialty restaurants (150 Central Park on RCCL, Murano on Celebrity as a couple of examples) that would be the exception to this, however. I am sure the smaller ship premium lines would also be a an exception. JMO
  17. If I were making this reservation, I would call Celebrity directly to make the booking and have them enter the names over the phone as they see necessary, or do so through a travel agent, with the Celebrity email booking confirmation issued to assure all is as it should be. Personally I would not be comfortable simply doing so on line if the full proper names are not able to be entered correctly. JMO.
  18. Not sure I understand the question relative to the thread title. But excursions and specialty dining rates are priced individually per the planner for each cruise relative to adult v child pricing. This has no relation to base cruise fare pricing.
  19. I would worry more about noise from the connecting stateroom as the doors are hotel style connecting between the two stateroom's walls versus noise from the theater. The theater is forward of you and one deck above, and also is in use only limited evening hours. There are staterooms directly above you.
  20. No knowledge from direct experience but from our cruising experience I would guess it could not be easily done as the staterooms are very limited in space and the holds on the ship are typically filled with provisions for the cruise and are not typically available for passenger cargo applications. And if they could, if the furniture is of any significant size they would likely establish a charge for doing so. I would think whomever you would be purchasing it from would be able to arrange for shipment to the US more easily than you trying to bring it back with you. But I think the best suggestion made so far is to contact the cruise line in question and have the discussion with them. I think that would provide the definitive answer.
  21. Just to add to the correct information provided by @Ourusualbeach, other than with promotions as mentioned, the age identification with the reservation process is for booking confirmation and manifest purposes only to have a correct listing of all passengers sailing.
  22. In our experience water in plastic bottles was able to be carried on at Cape Liberty with Celebrity.
  23. I think the last skeet shooting we saw was on Sovereign in 1992.....
