  2. We've done it twice and they have been fine. Don't know what I'm doing right but I hope nothing changes.
  3. There were no electronics when my kids were little. I think it's too easy to use electronics to distract little ones now, but what the parents don't acknowledge is the disruption to others in a public setting.
  4. All I know is my SIL used to wear it all the time! It's still around, but I don't know if anyone still wears it.
  5. Especially in the MDR. I know you have to keep them occupied, but I have no desire to listen to the music that goes along with their game. It's so annoying.
  6. I assumed that, I mean who could dislike Chanel #5, I however have an extreme dislike of Poison, to me it smells like an extreme version of Grape Jelly, makes me ill. UGH. I love the smell of salt air while on a cruise ship. Nothing better.
  7. Thanks, I didn't think so. But I don't know a whole lot about ships and dock space, just know enough to get on before it sails.
  8. If we were to meet and you had a problem with Chanel #5 I wouldn't wear that perfume. Especially if you let me know ahead of time. People should think about others instead of themselves all the time. I know it's an outdated mode of thinking. Hope you have a great day.
  9. I get your point, however none of the actions you mentioned are against any Royal Caribbean rules. Smoking in your cabin is. Neither my husband or I like the smell, for me it's an asthma thing. Sorry that the smell of some perfumes that must be terrible. Hope it doesn't happen often. I didn't mean to be critical, just point out that the actions could impact others without their knowledge.
  10. We were in an owners suite, we had 2 outlets, one on either side of the mirror. There was also a shaver outlet in the bathroom but it didn't work with my DH shaver. I have a plug that has 4 USB ports, it was a lifesaver. 2 phones, watch, kindle and computer. Jewel is an older ship so not a lot of outlets and no usb ports.
  11. So do we, we go up or down a deck to avoid the casino. Just got off Jewel, we went to the Pit Stop to watch the NFL playoff games, it was tough with the smoke coming out of the casino. We make it through one game and the Pit Stop and went up to the pool deck for both night games.
  12. You don't mind the smell, but what about the next passengers in the cabin? There are many people who are very sensitive to smells.
  13. Ship - Jewel of the Seas Deck - 10 Stateroom # - 1560 Stateroom Category – Owners Suite Starboard or Port Side - Starboard Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Mostly quiet, heard the occasional chair being moved above us at night, we use white noise to sleep, only heard it once when I woke up in the middle of the night. Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Don't know, but I doubt it. Balcony View - Balcony is huge, 2 loungers and a table with chairs Balcony Size? Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Any specific problems with this cabin? - None Any other comments? - The bed was extremely comfortable, and the cabin was huge.
  14. Thank you and you are correct. When someone mentioned in this thread they were in the suite I'll be in next week I derailed the conversation as I had an unrelated question. Oops, my bad.
  15. Not sure where I read it, as I couldn't find it again, but it said it had a queen size bed, which I also found unusual. Thank you.
  16. you can also call the RC phone # and have it added to your reservation.
  17. Awesome, thank you so much we will be sailing Jan 20th, we have a king size at home, so downsizing is an issue. I was contemplating asking them to make up the sofa. Again, thank you, now I don't have to stress my husband out.
  18. Sorry not sure what i put here was correct, so i deleted it.
