  1. Agree, yrs ago was after Late Show 1030-1130pm. Too many Family/Kids watching during Daytime Shows
  2. For yrs 70-80 I use to Win this at Carnivals and Amusement Parks all the time. Did Win some good stuff back then. They'd always guess average 20# too low.
  3. 3 other Ships I was on, Long and Short Sailings been running them during Day for while now
  4. Luck, in last yr Miami, LA and Tampa counted my Bottles. Even had throw one out I drank from while in line taking my Meds
  5. Though it's 12 count per Cabin Soda OR Water OR Snapple per Cabin. Last year a Family of 6 was trying take on 6 cases of Pop and 6 of Water. Dad had it on a portable Dolly. Security turned him around and took them back to his Car as the Son carried one case on
  6. Wow, feel for you. Have connecting on Saturday for Monday B4B Serenade Cruise but dont even have get off to change planes. Return Flights next couple Cruises are Direct. 20-30yrs ago most time would Drive 1200-1400 Miles each way for Cruises/Disney, Single Parent with 3 Kids was expensive Flying. Gas was so cheap only $100-120 rt driving even with a Ford Expedition in 90's-2000's
  7. Once just made it to Airport, 8+ inch of snow fell in the nite, a normal half hr to Airport took 2hrs and this in 4 wheel drive. Got on the Plane, last one leaving until storm passed just to have us slide off the Taxiway. We were stuck for hrs. Was first time I ever planned to Fly in day before Cruise so it worked out and didnt miss our Cruise next day. Now I do 2 nites each time and relax
  8. My problem last 15yrs I'd experience it in one State, get threw it, then go to other State just in time to live with Allergies all over again during their peak months
  9. Yup, I don't like to be on a Cruise w/o feeling the Ship rocking some. Like the Motion of the Ocean
  10. Use to Cruise Labor Day most every yr, was first week of what they called "Off Season" being 25-50% Cheaper then Summer Cruises. Don't think I ever had a Sailing w/o named Storms/Hurricanes. One yr was 4 that week, Seas were really churned up. Weird thing is last Labor Day week Cruise did we got home early am on 9/11/01
  11. Don't think so. I'd bet still has same furnishings in the Cabins I had 9 months ago and March/April 2022 when I was on her. Ships have their usual Dry Docks but rarely in Cabins are much let alone all replaced/updated. Maybe they worked on some Suites
  12. True, though in only watching that last 12 hrs it shift more North then eastern predictions sparing Tampa area
  13. Though Hurricane Season is also almost all year round, June 1 through November 30, and can happen most months with resent memory having a few April-Jan named Storms
  14. I remember 50 yrs ago there was lot of pay Toilets like at Airports, Dad use to make me crawl under...
  15. Agree, cone changed a lot in last 12hrs, Back then showed southern edge by Clearwater, now even further north then Steinhatchee, change of about 130 miles miles... Flying into Tampa myself Saturday afternoon leaving Monday for B3B on Serenade
  16. Nothing new, my longer 10+ niters 2022, 2023 and 2024 have all doubled or close to from day I Booked. Almost everything else is up. Ships running over the 108% Capacity of Pre-CV, so people are paying the higher Rate
  17. My Cruise next Monday still no Menu's, doing B3B, none on the Following one either and only half showing on the 3rd leg my Cruises
  18. Yup, probably couple Dozen Missed Ports due to Weather, half dozen they found us a different Port, only once got $30 OBC, think about 5 or 6 did get Port Back as OBC, though we did get free Drinks for 2 hrs on 3-4 others. 25yrs ago was part of a Class Action Lawsuit against Royal for Missed Port and not getting Port fees refunded. Royal Settled, Max of $7 Million with everyone that missed a Port getting $7 for each. I ended up with $49 FCC's, sure the Lawyers representing us got a descent cut of it
  19. Can't complain. Fly to my homes Michigan to Arizona 4 times each every yr. Then to Cruise Ports in Florida, Boston and Cali from either home and paying same or less then was even Pre-CV, definitely lower going Arizona-Florida then 3+ yrs ago. Compared to 15-20yrs ago all are lower, even more so on larger Delta, American, then Regional/Budget Allegiant or Southwest Air. And all this as Gas prices are still higher. Cruises, been lucky still get descent Rates even into 2024-25 on most, C&A and Military Discounts help. Better on longer 10+ niters then couple 4-5 that I'm doing in Sept & Oct. Won't do the Oasis or future Icon, that's my Kids type of ships and too crowded for me. Though Royal Prices on all but one my Bookings did go up after they were released, some now more then Double what were when I Booked on first day.
  20. Looks like a Lifeboat next to her. I first went on Grandeur 26yrs ago it was one Largest. One my Favorites is Titanic in front of Oasis Class. Just 3 Decades ago Passengers on most existing Cruise ships would only need 1-3 Oasis Class Lifeboats
  21. Funny thing was when the Pay Restaurants started on Royal 24yrs ago the Fee to eat there was the Gratuity, even at JR's the $5 fee back then inc a Shake... didn't last long
  22. Shoot I remember when Soda Pop was free with my Meals, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Been carrying on my own Pop since the 90's when they started charging. That said I don't mind that some places Charge for extra's, long as it helps keep base rates down. Like Airlines, fly about 20 times a yr with most on Airlines that charge Baggage Fees. But last 20yrs had double of most my stuff half at each end my Flights so no Fees. Cruise 6-8 weeks a yr, no shore excursions, no Soda Pop(except what I carry on), no T-shirts/magnets bought and definitely no Gelato for me
  23. Years ago the Loungers on open Deck and around Pool use to have a table for every 2 chairs. Of course they have ash trays on them but was nice place drinks on and keep items off the Deck and dry
