  1. Well done! Reason can afford lot these Cruises is the Solo 340+ along with other Discounts(Military, Etc) savings is like every 3rd or 4th Cruise is Free
  2. Yeah long as enclosed not looking over Tanker no issues. As I said above this what I've seen on about 50 Radiance Class Sailings last 13yrs. But think was also same when was on Vision Class
  3. Congrats! The only way to Travel, pay for Air/Hotel once. Havent done anything less then B3B in last 10yrs, only 2 times had change Cabins
  4. Yup. Havent had picture accepted yet, so print my Boarding Pass, check in and they take a new Picture
  5. Yup, seen Ban except Casino on almost every Sailing I've done since 2010. Always a Port Day so most passengers are off, except me
  6. At least once a Cruise on my longer Sailings the Casino is the only place onboard to Smoke during refueling. Seen this at least half dozen times last 9 months. This on Radiance Class. PreCovid on at least one Formal nites the Casino would have Smoke Free nite
  7. Not sure when Hotel was added. When I started Cruising Royal was only Waiter, Asst Waiter and Room Attendant. Prices were something like $1.25, .50 and $1.25, might been less on my first Cruises like $1, .50 and $1. On my first two Cruises Waiter had two 8 passenger Tables and Asst had 4 Tables. And this back when you sat all 3 meals at same table with same staff
  8. As others said dont send until it's 2-3weeks out. Then out of Dozens times I emailed them about 1/4 didnt get reply but always got what I asked for
  9. Seen it Higher, $85, $92, my Daughter seen it above $100 on Oasis and Quantum Class after Boarding. I do Vision and Radiance where was always lower. They'll charge what people are willing to pay. I do B4B every yr, prices even week to week can be different. Was really Cheap during start up, Royal wanted that money Pre-Cruise
  10. Agree, hang dry and when towels to turn in I lay folded on floor shower. Cups plates all over Cabin, nope. When do have them they are all stacked on the small table. I'm lucky, travel Solo and dlong do B2B's or longer in same Cabin. By end first week Attendant knows my routine and needs. Service not needed in AM and usually first Cabin done PM
  11. I know, maybe I can pick up a few Cabins myself, At least do my own Cabin for Credit kind of like Sweat Equity. Can you tell I'm building a new House? But I got the free time. And how about you, World Cruise think of the money you could rake in.
  12. Yup, lot of changes. Went there few months ago, my first time was 1988, no Pier, no locals selling wares, rustic. Ocean side wasnt open, no swimming allowed. Had a net protecting the lagoon side with a Local sitting on a wooden board watching for Sharks. Last Visit was 22yrs on the then new Explorer, this weeks after 9/11 on a half empty ship...
  13. True. Now 30+ years ago Attendants had lot more work but only 10-12 Cabins. On the older Royal Ships Cabins had 2 Couches that were made into Single or Double Beds at Nite. When they were replaced with Beds still Clean Sheets every nite. Spent yrs(Decades) at Condo's or long term Hotels, they always charged for Daily Maid Service $25-40 a day, I'm cheap so I'm use to the once a week free visit from way back
  14. CC Member onboard B2B Royal Sailing now said started on there today and they got to choose AM or PM for this week. Now if they keep it that way who knows... Twice as much work, Nah. Shower twice day only have Clean it once, Trash can is half or Full still only change once, Vacuum once and they will only have Make Bed once. I'm always SOLO, typically only have Attendant do my Cabin at nite last 5yrs and then made my own bed anyway
  15. Though I've spent 6 out of last 10yrs living in long term Hotels and Condo's. Room service is once a week, want daily it was $25-$40 a day extra. Could see some Cruise Lines going that way. Back when I started on Royal in 80's they's come in Cabin 8 times day, anytime I walked out. But they were more thorough cleaning and had a lot more to do back then...
  16. Yeah at one point yesterday Suites on all Navigator sailings were showing Sold Out. About 7-8yrs ago Royal did an Oops like this and when they caught it they gave everyone a choice, Pay higher the correct Rate or Cancel. Doubt happen this time
  17. Only choice you'll have is Morning or Night. Once a day is here, already started rolling out to all Royal Ships
  18. Do miss when WindJammer had huge Cafeteria Trays, but back then all the plates and bowl were heavy China not the plastic is now
  19. Though really not supposed put dishes in the hall. Myself, only had once day Cabin service last 5+ yrs anyway.
  20. Miami checked times but that was last April... shoot I had 1130am checkin in LA, was on ship at 1025
  21. Though Royal is making a Ton on all the Ships stopping at Coco Cay now, think all that money going into their Pocket.
  22. Never happens. Seems like one I Book is last released usually in April, May and at times late as June! This going back over 10yrs
  23. Royal IT is good for that, even more so when Sailings are released. Few yrs ago had a 2Bd/2Ba to myself, cheaper then a Balcony Cabin.
  24. Yeah possible! But its Wild when price of two 4nite Cruises together can cost about same or even more then any of my 11, 12 or 16 nite Cruises. Then many these shorter Cruises stopping at the Fun Park at Coco Cay where Royal is also charging/making a Fortune
