  1. It’s more efficient if you have tables with more people. If you have a bunch of solo tables it takes longer. At least that’s what my daughter says. She’s a server at Disney.
  2. She is my favorite ship and I will sail on her till they tow it to the scrapyard. On my last sailing in January I noticed the MDR was very understaffed. I was at a solo table and felt really bad that I was making so much extra work. I only went twice to try and make their lives a little better. Hopefully it will get better but it’s still a beautiful ship and I don’t cruise for the food anyway. There’s plenty to eat and I look forward to my next cruise in January.
  3. I’d take it in a heartbeat, but I normally cruise in inside cabins.
  4. They do, it’s mat Pilates if that matters to you.
  5. I checked the solo prices for 2026 and was shocked how low they were. A few weeks ago they were charging more than double. Now less than double.
  6. For me it was the day before
  7. I have cruised solo for most of my cruises. I would look on the cruisplum web site to find low or no supplement cruises. in my case, I have found the solo cabins to be more expensive than a full size interior cabin even with the solo supplement. So always look to see if you are getting the best value and not just that you are saving the cost of the supplement.
  8. When I was on there was a Lotus Pool directly next to the Sanctuary that was adult only and had hot tubs. It was a nice free area but maybe different from what is on the Royal Class.
  9. I sailed January 2024 and had a fantastic time. Well run activities. The only down side was staffing in the MDR. They were very short staffed but the food was great. The ship is in good shape and everything works just fine. That’s not to say there is not sign of wear but nothing unacceptable in my opinion. I have another cruise booked for next January and the January after that.
  10. Caribbean Princess is my favorite Princess ship (I’m on it now in fact), for me it’s the right size and I like the location of the gym. But a bad experience on a ship will definitely flavor your future cruise experience. Although I love the ship, because you had such a poor experience last time, I’d advise that you find a different ship. That way you’re not going into it worrying about history repeating itself.
  11. I was there today. No problems at all. Did not see one.
  12. Have fun. I am on the sailing after yours. Also renting the cabana on the island.
  13. Here are ten of mine. I’d say value and medallion are high on the list. https://www.cruisingforone.com/blog/10-things-i-love-about-princess-cruises
  14. As a solo cruiser its is a real benefit as things come to you rather than having to leave your stuff unattended such as at the pool. It’s the main reason why I cruise with Princess.
  15. Most of my cruises have been as a solo. I truly enjoy it and even have a web blog with posts about safety and other helpful tidbits. Princess is an excellent choice for a solo cruise. I have two solo sailings already booked for next year. I’m sure you will have a lovely cruise.
  16. Unfortunately I used a travel agent so the charge will show up from that company. So I don’t think I could get the credit.
  17. Consistent with what I have heard from others. Definitely not on my list for now. As with most lines they struggle to maintain pre-shutdown standards.
  18. It used to be my most popular YouTube. Which is both good and bad. Have a fantastic cruise.
