  1. Yeah, I remember that. What a dope he was--shot himself in the leg, sheesh 😆 Nice swag for lending Sal your tickets! Loved Mark Bavaro. Those were better days for the Giants. You know, before they fired Coughlin and replaced him with the inept McAdoo. They haven't been the same since. But there might be hope with the new coach. Those were also the days when Princess provided what they said they would and cared more about pax. (Thought I should get us back on track 🙂)
  2. Yes it is! I was born in the Bronx and have been a Giants fan since I was 11. 🤞 Daniel Jones stops tripping over blades of grass and one of the hundreds of WRs on the roster steps up and give him a decent target. Darren Waller addition could be a big help. Go Giants!
  3. Yep, take the gift and run 😁 My TA did a chat with Princess about emptying my cart and they didn't understand either. I must be missing something--what's so hard to understand about emptying a cart??? I guess I just need to get out more 😉
  4. My cart still shows the 2 full up Plus packages I don't need. Can't "remove" them. So, I don't think it's fixed. It says that excursions that aren't paid for within 24 hours will be cleared--maybe that's also true for your purchases? Everything except "upgraded" packages. Princess continues to disappoint...
  5. Yes, I have had trouble logging in, only works about half the time. One of the Princess agents said they were having trouble with the "consumer side" of the online pp.
  6. I don't know if you have to buy and then cancel onboard. Unless you've already paid? When I saw the cost of the "upgrade" from Plus 50 to the new Plus, they charged me the whole package price, not the difference 😮 Seriously, high school kids can design and code better web pages. Maybe Princess should hire a few of them? 😁
  7. This has been happening for at least the last 2 weeks. I had the same issue, called my TA. She couldn't even login! She called and spoke with 5 different Princess agents, none of whom even understood what she was asking (client can't remove item from cart, can you do it). She did finally speak to one who said "she can't see it on Princess' side" which didn't make me feel any better. She put in a trouble ticket to Princess but I don't expect that will help. It is such a simple basic task for online services--empty cart--and yet Princess can't make it work. (Note, I went and looked at the code behind the page and I can't find a place where a piece of code exists to respond to the button. But, if you look at the "book dining" option, there is code for the button push). This is the sort of thing that causes pax to say Princess is incompetent. But, at least they have managed to add fees/take away previously free options. No problems with that 😉
  8. So sad they lost but very nice they made it to the final four. That's something to build on. Another nail-biter by the Swans. What a season. Maybe they will keep bringing these close games to the playoffs! Go Swans!

Hi all Well, I just got off the phone with my TA, after explaining my issue (Summary: Had the 'old' Plus 50', went to my booking to see what it would cost to upgrade, got back "$1K each" 😮 So, not just the difference. It's on post #126 on this thread if you want the details.) After 3 hours with my TA talking to at least 5 different Princess agents, they said "don't worry, it's OK, we don't see this on our side". Along the way, it turns out my TA can't login (like me), and can't empty my cart. Neither could any of the Princess people. So yeah, no worries, it's all good. I told my TA I was concerned they were wrong and she said she thinks they are wrong and had flagged my booking and will talk to her boss. She also documented all that she went thru today to make no progress. One agent did say that they were having trouble with their consumer online site, so that's why I can't always log in. I sure hope my cruise doesn't get cancelled because Princess is so inept. Good luck everyone 😉
  10. In a sign of my annoyance/desperation to empty my cart of the bev packages I don't want/need, I am poring over the source code for Princess Onboard Services and the "cart" page. Nothing has jumped out as wrong, but I think it is getting stuck on not loading a GIF--of all things!

  12. Do you know how long they wait to cancel? It seems unreasonable for them to cancel when I can't login, using the right credentials and I can't empty my cart. If they can't do a better job with their software, there's nothing for me to do until tomorrow. Yes, I understand they can still cancel the cruise on us but their incompetence shouldn't be a good reason for this 😉 Thanks for the heads up.
  13. Hmm, good point. But since I cant remove the charges, any suggestions?? I will call tomorrow but I'm not hopeful that will go very well.
  14. Sure, that's the theory. It's a little like a video game--there are multiple levels you must complete to get what you want. Level 1--Log in successfully. Level 2--see what package you have now (mine was in my Travel Summary) Level 3--read that you can upgrade from your current "PLUS compliments of <my TA--the bog box place WA) Level 4--try to upgrade, which charges you for the whole package Level 5--Try to empty cart, which can't be done Level 6--Ask yourself 'Why did I even think this would work; I fall for it every time' and kick yourself for not just waiting and calling tomorrow. Grrrrr....
  15. It absolutely is mind-boggling. My career was in IT business software. I have never seen anything remotely approaching the utter incompetence displayed by Princess IT on multiple occasions. Yeah it's amazing. I designed a few web pages when I was working and even I did better then these "experts". Mind-boggling is too nice a term. Incompetent is better but doesn't get to the profound lack of understanding (or coherent English) on Princess' part. Grrrrrrr....
  16. I got the email earlier today and like many of you was told my current PLUS doesn't include the new features but I could upgrade thru the personalizer. Went to log in and it failed! (It has been doing this lately and I know the info is correct). OK, I used my booking number--that at least let me see the booking. Went to Bev Packages, saw the total cost and thought but I already have the PLUS, so shouldn't it just be the difference? Figured I would try and upgrade, so clicked on that for both of us. Surprise, it said I owed $2k not just the difference (maybe a few hundred). OK I thought, I'll just empty my cart and call tomorrow. Surprise--it wouldn't remove the packages from my cart 😮 At this point, I am so disgusted with the whole thing I just shut everything down. (But my cart still shows the 2 packages--grrrr). I don't understand why Princess is so incompetent when it comes to this?? Emptying shopping carts is a well-understood, commonly used element of online shopping, not to mention logging in, which works sometimes but not others. It makes me wonder if they have anyone working at Princess that can even find their butt with their hands, let alone code simple online tasks. I guess I'll be on the phone tomorrow. Cruise isn't until November--it will probably take that long to get through 😄

  18. This is so true! We watched the replay and I was worried for awhile. So happy the Matildas won. Now, I have a bit of a dilemma--it ended up England vs Australia. I was hoping I could just root for one but now, I guess I'm going with the Matildas. Go Matildas!

  22. Thanks for this. I've never been able to do anything with my tix online with SW, there's always a problem. Usually on their end but I'll give it a try. We used most of our points last year, so have to build them up again before they will be useful. If I try to rebook online, will it tell me the cost before I finalize it? (Having never successfully completed this process, I'm still new to it!) Thanks.
