  1. So me and Dw are booked on the Getaway sailing on October 4. We booked a BX balcony room ( guaranteed room but no assignment yet) we did this two years ago on the NCL SKY and ended up in a normal balcony, which was fine with us. Looking at the deck plans it looks like there's only a few designated BX rooms available on deck eight, so my question is, has anyone booked this? How are the rooms? Did you get an upgrade? Etc... Thanks!

DD and I are literally in the same boat! Booked our BX Gty with no room assigned yet. I am good with waiting but hope we are assigned a room before we arrive at the port!

  2. I think that the DO25 is a Latitudes OBC. I looked at my booking and we have a Latitudes fare and as we have a balcony the OBC is $50 for the stateroom and my "portion" is the $25 listed. We also have PSC which is our service charge which I prepaid. Neither my purchased OBC or our TA OBC show up on the vacation summary, I need to look under booked items on our first day and that is where the rest show!

  3. My DD and I have the UDP for our upcoming Getaway cruise. As our TA covered the cost for one if us it really made sense to take the package. We were planning on doing the Illusionarium and on the first night it is free. So with that in mind, the actual extra cost to me is about $60.00 since the premium seating would have been $58.00. I used a previous cruisers dailies to book our dinners and we are eating as early as 5:30 and as late as 8:00. On the early nights, if we need a late night snack we will head to O'Sheehans for something.

  4. My DD and I plan on getting dressed up each night! First ever trip as Mom and Daughter by ourselves and we both tend to dress up, but won't worry if no one elase is as it is "freestyle"!

We have always been Mom and DD, just never traveled just the two of us!!!

  5. Booked my Getaway in April, paid in full well ahead of time but no assignment yet! DD and I will enjoy whatever balcony we are assigned as she has cruised twice before with us but in an OV and last time an inside! I have only twice done a guarantee booking and both times we ended up with favourable room assignments. Here's hoping we keep the streak alive!:D

  6. It has been stated that NCL will not move you from one room to an open one in the same category. I have a BX for my October Getaway cruise but have not yet received a room. I have done guarantee rooms on two different lines. The first time on RRCL I was not a CC member so had no clue about the possibility of changing the cabin. Second time was on Celebrity where they do allow you to move from one cabin to another. As a result we went from forward port side to midship starboard on our Mediterranean cruise! And this time I am aware of the NCL policy that I cannot change cabins after assignment, no biggie!

  7. To clarify...reservations that can be made prior to the cruise are only for the specialty restaurants which you are charged an extra fee ($15-$30 per person). You cannot make reservations for the MDR - and I believe that if you do require a reservation for the MDR (as in a larger group trying to sit together) that needs to happen once on board.

While this may have been true in the past, they do have the option for my Getaway booking in October to book the "complimentary" dining venues! The only one not listed is O'Sheehans!!
