  1. Hi snow bunny,

How much was the shuttle service to the port?

I am going to say $10-15 per person. It was a large van that picked up at the three hotels on this street. You would just sign up at the hotel desk. We chose this hotel as we were travelling as a family and they have a suite with 4 queen sized beds which accommodated all of us. They will also shuttle you using their own shuttle over to the mall that is close by, we just walked.

  2. They are posted.

Thanks again for posting these. There is one day where the hourly page is missing, Day 3. Do you still have it and if so, what was the evening event at Spice H2O? DH and I dance, Latin and ballroom so have I have recorded all of the lessons and evening events so as to not miss anything and to try to figure out dining. I am aware that these may change for our sailing but at least I know what to be on the lookout for! The second night for our sailing is Halloween so I don't know if they will switch up the "formal" night with one of the other themed nights.

  3. My DD and I purchased the spa passes for the week. I loved it but not so much for her. Then again, I tend to choose Celebrity spa rooms when I can! Am hoping for an upgrade to the Haven Spa room on my next Getaway cruise with DH for his birthday surprise!

  4. We received the email today for our cruise on the Getaway for Halloween. I have put a minimum bid in for a Spa Haven room. Okay if I don't get it but it would be an amazing surprise for my DH for his 55th Birthday!! He is not aware that i have upgraded us to a Mini Suite but Haven Spa would be over the top!

  5. 1) What does the site say about cancellation policy?

    2) If paid by cc, you can always dispute the charges if they don't refund and you don't go.

    3) If you do cancel, then look into something like Beachers or Bananarama which do include transportation in their costs and have other amenities as well.

Club Natale is another possibility, but not sure if there's transportation included.

Reviews of both on this board.

Do you happen to know what the snorkelling is like at Club Natale?

  6. Is it still the Ruffino Pino Grigio? If it is you can buy it in many grocery stores in the US Eg CVS. Retails for around $10 US. If it is, it's the one I drink if I'm on the UBP. Not as good as a good Marlboro Sav Blanc, but still better than the house Sav Blanc.

No, it is now a wine by Banfi.

  7. MY SIL doesn't drink much alcohol due to medical issues. She does love to drink coconut water. I have done a search but can't figure out if this is offered as a beverage?? We are doing the Star out of Anchorage next July. Thank you for your responses!

  8. This is neither here nor there but on a recent cruise with Princess I pre-ordered water, I think 2 12paks were something like $13usd and it was nice having them in the cabin when we arrived.

Doesn't NCL not offer something similar?

We too did the same thing in February and it was easy. The issue on NCL is that the price mark up on water is a bit insane! Bottles of water at a cost of roughly $5 are a bit too steep for me! We are booked on the Getaway with the beverage package but in comparison to other lines, it sucks! Most lines do offer the water and specialty coffees including fresh ground/fresh made which are the one palatable coffees on a cruise ship. I enjoy the ships that NCL has but will stick to Celebrity and Princess after this one.
