  1. Thanks again for all your valuable info.  Since you said you didn't mind questions, would like your advice on managing group bookings on embarkation day?  We have SOR so will be on early (3 cabins).  Most of us are looking at the same shows and daily events on same days, times.  A few prefer doing a few different things. We have our restaurant resos made, but as of now (2/19...We sail 2/24) have to move 2 around.

Is it better for one person to handle all restaurant changes, show and daily event bookings to avoid confusion?  Any hints appreciated.

Will be looking for your future cruise posts on CC.  We cruise pretty often and the 2/24 will be our 2nd VV cruise, but like you, I think we're done with VV until the menus and shows change considerably.

  2. I guess the Festivals will come later.  None showing so far.

In the meantime, two things I want to clarify with this great group who always has the correct answers!

There is something called Flight Night but no info as to book on board and no explanation of what this is.  How does that work?

I thought we'd need to book Around the World with the Diva, but that is not showing "Book Onboard". Is that correct?

  3. I have a reso for Gunbae at 8:30 and would like to change it to 8:30 to 10:30 Ship Show with dinner instead.

At embarkation should I cancel my current reso at Gunbae before trying to book the Ship Show due to this time overlap? I'm afraid to cancel my Gunbae reso and then not be able to book the Ship Show with dinner.

  4. Nothing much has changed on the Event List for our 2/24 VL cruise.  Still just showing  the main nightly events, bingo and one exercise class.

I want to coordinate planning a list to book the shows, etc. with our dinner times as best I can.  Should I work with what is showing now or wait a few days longer to see if more things are added?  I know the nightly events may change a bit, but are chances decent that they will remain on the days and times that are now showing on the VV app.

  5. Seriously, what did you do about that?  Hope you're better by the time you read this.

On another note...How was the snorkeling there?  We had gone years ago and it was sensational right near the walk in area to the very left looking at beach.

Did you have a place in the shade to put down your towel?  I understand the chairs are not available to cruisers there.

Luggage drop off was just fine, took all of 5 minutes at 1:10pm. There is both a CVS and a Walgreens very close to the port in case anyone forgot anything and needed to pickup something. They were plenty of gatekeepers checking for Suites, DBE etc at the entrance and we were asked to show prof no less than 4 times before we entered the priority checkin waiting area. Half the room is setup for those that have already checked in, my guess is those are suites. They said at 1:45 those people would begin boarding and then we would get priority checkin behind them. So if you have priority checkin you get this nice air conditioned am waiting area

If you drop luggage off earlier in the morning do you get checked in then or when you return (and enter airconditioned building? (Splash of Romance)?

When you came back did you need to check in at the terminal or wait on another line?  We are SOR.  What time did they start boarding?  Loving your review

  8. What I thought was odd is that in June we were in a cabin on the 12th deck, A side,  with the bed by the balcony.  So I chose a cabin for February with the same number on the Z side and the bed is by the bathroom.  Oh well, we'll make the best of it, but really prefer the bed by balcony arrangement since I like to lay in bed watching the ocean.

I wish there was better seating than the one not so comfortable looking chair in the Seaview cabins.

  9. Love lobster, crab, clams and raw oysters.

I see that the Seafood Tower at the Wake has some things I'd like, but some that definitely I definitely would not like.  Do they switch out any if you ask?  Any chance of getting hot mussels with hot marinara sauce or butter/garlic?
