We had access to chairs but this was probably 10 years ago at least. Our chairs were to the left if you are standing in the water facing the beach. They had a little table set up with rum punch (lethal) and at one point, some lunch. My DH had to remind the captain that we needed to be back to get on the ship. It was a very speedy ride back😱one of our favorite excursions!!

They now charge $100 per chair to rent and they are down at the end by the Beach Resort.

We did the beach break with Spencer. Power boat down to Jalousie Beach between the Pitons. Lunch and drinks. Spent 5 hours on the beach. I spent every single minute in the water. It was amazing.

Oh and I’m here for all of this. Get that ship warmed up for us. 2 more weeks of basketball and San Juan here we come.

We are doing the Jalousie Beach trip the week of 2/24.   Although we had a sensational time a few years ago on Spencer's Land & Sea tour, we wanted to spend more time at Jalousie.  Love to snorkel there.  I'm wondering how not having any chairs there will work?  One in our small group will need to get out of the sun for awhile.

This name is familiar.  We zipped in a powerboat down the coast of St Lucia to in between the Pitons where we hung on the beach, snorkeled and then zipped back up in same powerboat.  What's happening on your St Lucia excursion?

We did Spencers Land & Sea tour a few years ago - best tour ever.  This time doing the Jalousie Beach speedboat tour.  Can't wait for this one!  Enjoy your cruise!

These are a charge item--will be charged to your bar tab.  I guess you could buy several and pour into any container you wish.  You do know that they are called "Cold pressed," and are not fresh pressed, right?  They come out of a box on the ship.  It is sort of like buying from the fancy section of the supermarket rather than the 'from concentrate" stuff. They were also available at Razzle Dazzle breakfast and the bar by The Dock during very limited morning hours.

The info about being boxed juices is accurate as of November 2023.

I didn't realize they were cold pressed...Aren't these included at certain hours for SOR?  Tx again for all your  help

  5. Getting closer to our cruise date of 2/24 from San Juan.

In June I sat down on the couch before even entering the ship to make my reservations.  This time we'll have a party of 6 people.  One person wants to grab a drink before starting to book reso's.  Best spot to do this?

On another note...Is the spa open for booking immediately or later in the day?  Can one person make reservation for thermal spa for all?  We have SOR.

They let SOR/DBE upstairs to check in at 1:45, and we were on the ship with drink in hand by 2pm. Woohoo!  Spent the last bit of time enjoying drinks, food, and booking everything. We got everything we wanted including some unexpected events I didn't even know existed (Champagne Bubbles and Fried Chicken Bites, I'm looking at you!!), so we're all set.

I'm drinking a Grapevine from the Dock, this was my fav drink on my last sailing and I'm still loving it. Lots of bites here, too, and they did bring the mezze cart by, too. The falafel is yum! Ate it before I remembered to get a pic, oops.

Where were you when you did your bookings?  In Miami I plopped down before even entering the ship itself to make all our resos.  Loving your review

  7. I've been checking the app for our upcoming SJ cruise and also looking at the various daily sheets from a similar 1/30 cruise.

I understand that things change often, but I was surprised to see that many of the main shows on the 1/30 cruise were held on different days/times than the ones shown on our app.

Thinking it would be easier for VV to keep the main shows on similar schedules for the same type cruises.  Just curious as to why they would move them around.

You can purchase alcohol or specialty drinks thru room service till 2am.

How late can we use loot in the shops and casino...Tx so much for all your help

  9. I just read this and am wondering if this is new with VV or just a fluke with one ship that it happened on?

The faster you and your cabin mates watch the video, the quicker the app unlocks your ability to book onboard events and remaining restaurant bookings. Do not hesitate to get this out of the way. You can even start watching the video as you get closer to the ship and connect to the ships’ wifi from the terminal. (SL cruise)

You can never predict.  Since excursions are operated by third party vendors, vv will contact the vendors to see whether they can offer additional spots,  In addition, people do cancel.  Part of the problem is that people will sometimes book whatever they might be interested in, knowing that if they cancel early enough, they can get their money back to their credit card.  This gives a mentality of "better grab it now, we can always change our minds later,"

All you can do is to keep checking back, both before and after boarding,

You are a wealth of knowledge...Thanks!  Since the excursion my family is interested in is a catamaran, I'm doubting that the vendor can get additional spots.  Guess it may be best for them to book a non VV catamaran tour rather than hope one becomes available.  I don't want to book that way because I want to use some of my loot and would be happy with another excursion or use for the loot.
