  1. Ships usually put on a shuttle bus if the walk to town is too long. Charge is usually $15-20 pp. There are also taxis available, and there may be a local bus.
  2. Was on the Enchanted a few months ago, before they introduced the charge. The pizza was barely edible, one of the worst I've had. Definitely wouldn't pay for it!
  3. A taxi from the hotel will cost you maybe NIS 50 and will take 10-15 minutes. A taxi back to the airport would be NIS 600 approx and take 1.5 hours!
  4. The drive from the airport is about 1.5 hours depending on the time of day. There is also a direct train from Tel Aviv airport to Haifa (stops outside the cruise terminal), also takes about 1.5 hours. You do not say which hotel you are staying in in Haifa, but if there's any problem with your transfers, it's not a long drive from any of them to the port and a taxi would not be expensive.
  5. Does anyone know if the strawberry-kiwi flavored water in the Windjammer contains sugar or is sugar free?
  6. I've stayed in 11018 and it's a glass balcony. It is also angled and larger than the regular, more expensive balconies. Enjoy!
  7. There's no way to make a 9.15 flight from any London airport. Even a 11.15 flight would be a tight squeeze.
  8. Stayed at the Hampton Waterloo, but have never stayed at the Curio. Curio should be a much higher standard than Hampton. The Hampton is very convenient, as it's 2 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. Downside is that it's a very basic hotel, especially the breakfast room with the trays. The rooms are nice though, Hilton brand standard.
  9. Did this in Trieste last October. The port is right in the middle of town, you can walk to everything from the port. The desk to hand over the luggage (not to porters) is outside, to the right of the terminal entrance.
  10. Have been to Marseille several times (though not on Princess) and every cruise line put on a shuttle to the city centre (old port). If they don't put on a shuttle most people would not be able to get into town, it's a 20 minute drive. There should also be taxis. The taxis and free shuttle from the port gate (a long walk away from the ship) would not be sufficient for everyone.
  11. Doesn't work for me on either Chrome or Firefox.
  12. Thanks for that. It's the only thing that worked for me.
  13. You can get a good dinner in the hotel for a reasonable price.
  14. The beds in each cabin can be made up as a double or two singles. According to the names on your booking they make up the beds accordingly. If when you arrive you see they've made them up as singles you can ask the cabin steward to make them into a double for you. He'll do this at the first evening's turn down.
  15. Thank you. So the next morning we go straight to security?
  16. I am soon going on a Marella cruise package and flying from Gatwick. Our flight is early in the morning and we are staying at a Gatwick hotel the night before. Do Tui have a bag drop open the evening before the flight, and if so, at what times? Any other relevant details would be appreciated.
  17. I am soon about to go on my first Marella cruise package to the Canaries and have a couple of questions: Do they give you anything to eat or drink on the plane or do you have to purchase them? Where can I book Wifi for the ship? I can't find it on the Cruise Planner. Thanks for your help.
  18. This is scary. Are the questions so difficult to understand/ambiguous that it's easy to give the wrong answer, even if you've had nothing to do with Covid lately? Would someone be able to post a copy of the questionnaire, so that we can check it through in advance?
  19. Does anyone know which outside cabins on decks 4 and 5 have portholes instead of picture windows? I am wondering whether it's worth paying the extra to choose the room, as I don't particularly want a porthole? Thanks
  20. If you're really into cruising you'll enjoy any cruise. If you like to spend hours on your balcony or are claustrophobic you might not like an interior room. Remember that the rest of the cruise outside of your room is the same whatever level room you chose and paid for (except suites of course!).
