  1. Does anyone know if the strawberry-kiwi flavored water in the Windjammer contains sugar or is sugar free?
  2. I've stayed in 11018 and it's a glass balcony. It is also angled and larger than the regular, more expensive balconies. Enjoy!
  3. There's no way to make a 9.15 flight from any London airport. Even a 11.15 flight would be a tight squeeze.
  4. Stayed at the Hampton Waterloo, but have never stayed at the Curio. Curio should be a much higher standard than Hampton. The Hampton is very convenient, as it's 2 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. Downside is that it's a very basic hotel, especially the breakfast room with the trays. The rooms are nice though, Hilton brand standard.
  5. Did this in Trieste last October. The port is right in the middle of town, you can walk to everything from the port. The desk to hand over the luggage (not to porters) is outside, to the right of the terminal entrance.
  6. Have been to Marseille several times (though not on Princess) and every cruise line put on a shuttle to the city centre (old port). If they don't put on a shuttle most people would not be able to get into town, it's a 20 minute drive. There should also be taxis. The taxis and free shuttle from the port gate (a long walk away from the ship) would not be sufficient for everyone.
  7. Doesn't work for me on either Chrome or Firefox.
  8. Thanks for that. It's the only thing that worked for me.
  9. You can get a good dinner in the hotel for a reasonable price.
  10. The beds in each cabin can be made up as a double or two singles. According to the names on your booking they make up the beds accordingly. If when you arrive you see they've made them up as singles you can ask the cabin steward to make them into a double for you. He'll do this at the first evening's turn down.
  11. Thank you. So the next morning we go straight to security?
  12. I am soon going on a Marella cruise package and flying from Gatwick. Our flight is early in the morning and we are staying at a Gatwick hotel the night before. Do Tui have a bag drop open the evening before the flight, and if so, at what times? Any other relevant details would be appreciated.
  13. I am soon about to go on my first Marella cruise package to the Canaries and have a couple of questions: Do they give you anything to eat or drink on the plane or do you have to purchase them? Where can I book Wifi for the ship? I can't find it on the Cruise Planner. Thanks for your help.
  14. This is scary. Are the questions so difficult to understand/ambiguous that it's easy to give the wrong answer, even if you've had nothing to do with Covid lately? Would someone be able to post a copy of the questionnaire, so that we can check it through in advance?
  15. Does anyone know which outside cabins on decks 4 and 5 have portholes instead of picture windows? I am wondering whether it's worth paying the extra to choose the room, as I don't particularly want a porthole? Thanks
  16. If you're really into cruising you'll enjoy any cruise. If you like to spend hours on your balcony or are claustrophobic you might not like an interior room. Remember that the rest of the cruise outside of your room is the same whatever level room you chose and paid for (except suites of course!).
  17. Used them for the journey from the airport to our hotel when we were in Athens and they were excellent. It was the same price as a taxi.
  18. if you are visiting or disembarking in Greece, you have to have a test before you board the ship or do a test on the ship.
  19. Another Israeli regular on Cruise Critic here. The September 9th cruise is also overbooked, and I know several people who've received the same offer. The native language of most Israelis is Hebrew, so they tend to use websites in that language.
  20. i have been on the Magnifica and as far as I know the balcony cabins have only showers. If you've heard that some have baths, I suggest you ask MSC or your travel agent about your specific room, so you can change if necessary.
  21. I started my check-in on the app by choosing an arrival time at the port. Can I now complete the check-in on the web site, or do I have to continue on the app? I prefer to do it on the computer.
  22. Genoa - you can walk straight of the ship and it's a short walk to the marina and the center of town. No tour needed at all. There's a nice maritime museum and an aquarium too. Marseille - the ship docks about a 20 minute ride from the center of town. You can take a taxi or the ship's shuttle bus. You can do Marseille on your own, no tour is needed. There are various things to do in town - shopping is quite good, walking around the marina and sitting in a cafe is nice. There is the petit train up to the cathedral on the hill. Can't help with Portofino. (I thought Genoa is the port for Portofino?)
  23. Has anyone actually taken the X80 bus this year? I read somewhere that it's not running.
