We just did a 14 day and I thought we would only get 1 credit, but we got 2 credits each.

You'll receive a credit for each segment, so even with booking a 14 day, you'll receive two credits.

Princess does give a cruise credit for each segment, no matter which way you book it.

We have always, always had a cruise credit for every segment of a cruise, regardless of how it was booked

I understand that - what I was questioning was this statement:  "Princess does give a cruise credit for each segment, no matter which way you book it."   Booked as a 14 day cruise we have never been given 2 credits.  Perhaps the difference is IF you could have booked it as two 7 day cruises.  All our 14 day cruises could not be booked that way.

When we booked B2B Alaska cruises we were given one credit for each segment but when we booked a 14 day Norweigan Fjiords and 14 day Mediterranean we were given only 1 credit.  When I questioned it I was told if it was booked as a 14 day then only 1 credit.  Go figure!

What baffles me is why when you have spent thousands of £££/$$$ on a cruise are you worrying about a £10/£15 taxi fare

That may NOT be their issue.  I have read on the boards that, depending on how busy the ports/hotel is, there can be difficulty getting a taxi for the short distance.

  3. @dawnvip  The strike threat does add another level of concern.  Hope you aren’t travelling anywhere this summer you need the 6 month validity for since your passport expires in October!  Glad I got an appointment for June.  Now just have to keep my fingers crossed that the strike doesn’t happen or is over by then.  🤞🏻

I am not sure whether it was cost effective for us and think we might do ‘Pay as you go’ next cruise.

We have had the classic Soda package pre booked for months now and, even at that price, we’d probably be better doing “pay as you go”.  We have never carried Soda onboard but are seriously thinking of taking our 24 allowable cans when we sail Enchanted in September.  The new zero alcohol package is crazy expensive!

  5. What is Included

    • The package includes all, fountain sodas, and cans of soda and juices (excluding the fresh juice bar), mocktails, and smoothies as per the menu.
    • The package may be used on our Private
    • Islands and all onboard Food and Beverage
    • Venues and other areas such as the Theater or public spaces that offer beverage service.
Selections and service are limited to that venue's menu offerings and operating hours.

  6. Our passports don't expire until January 2024 but we're going on a cruise in September and the passport must be valid for six months after the cruise.  Since we're cruising in May, we need our old passports for that trip.  I tried to make an appointment at the Passport Office at the Scarborough Town Centre office for our return and there are NO appointments available between now and June.  Was fortunate to get an appointment for June 5th at Gerrard Square.

  7. This is why we stopped going to all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean; too many loud mouthed drunks.  Now that cruise lines are including drinks if passengers choose their all-inclusive package (a limit of 15 drinks a day!) I fear the same thing might happen.
