  1. We are on our third TA next month on the Reflection. The east bound can definitely drain you with the time changes. We found a a quick nap in the afternoon, before getting ready for pre dinner drinks seemed to help. But as others have said, don’t over book your schedules.

Definitely bring some sort of wind breaker or water resistant jacket. We had a few “misty” days and these helped.

If it’s a colder sea day and a bit rainy the pool bar very like is still open. Maybe grab a glass of champagne and sit in the hot tub? You might have most of the deck to yourself.

Michaels club can be a great place on a day you don’t want to be outside. They should have some nice, but minimal, rotating entertainment starting in the late afternoon. You won’t likely see it in the daily so be sure to stop in and ask.

Internet worked fine for us on our previous TAs. We always get the unlimited package as I need it for work. There were a few times it was spotty but overall I was happy with its ability to connect and load what I needed.

Lastly, my absolute favorite thing about a TA is the fact that you are miles from land. If you want to disconnect oh boy, can you ever. Just look out into the ocean and let yourself get lost.

Do you remember what the unlimited internet cost?

  2. We are taking our first transatlantic in April on Silhouette. We love days at sea so we thought this would be a good choice for us. We booked a suite so we would have a little more space in our cabin.

Any tips any transatlantic cruisers would like to share for making the cruise more enjoyable? Thank you in advance for your help! [emoji1360]

  3. If it is the standard OBC it should post right away . If it extra OBC that X provided, which we had on our cruise it took 3 weeks and a phone call to the CVP before it showed

It’s extra provided by celebrity. What is a CVP?

  4. Sounds like you booked directly with Celebrity so give them a call and ask nicely about an upgrade. If they say no, then hang up and call again....be nice but be firm. We use a TA and have had some nice upgrades, one from veranda to Aqua and one from veranda to CC on an M-class so it was a bigger cabin just by asking. You can go on line and look to see what the price for the next level up is and see if it is worth your effort.

I will try it. If I had booked a year ago it wouldn’t sting so much. But I booked 1/23/18 for a April 15 cruise

  5. Hi fellow cruisers!

My apologies - the link above doesn't work.

Here is the link to the Azores vlog:

Also, if anyone is interested, here is the link to my Youtube channel/Crown Princess Transatlantic cruise playlist where I'll be uploading new videos over the next few weeks.

    Thanks for watching :)

Did the hot spring you swam in also smell like sulphur?

  6. Has anyone stayed in this cabin? (I did check the sticky)

We reserved it because we love aft cabins and it has a wrap around balcony. Does the window cleaning equipment park on this level? On some pictures it looks as if its right beside it on other S-class ships

  7. I am not loyal to royal, agree with some of the items, have never liked WJ on any ship on any decade. Also casino smoking can be bad , Celebrity is the line for you no smoking at all there and 99 percent of the ship. We did Brilliance last year in Europe concierge and staff were by far the best I have ever seen on any ship. Next cruise for us is a charter on Celebrity which is adults only with lots of music from 70's stars like Michael MacDonald and America

Hey when is that 70’s Cruise? I think I’d like that!![emoji7]
