  1. we are not bringing children, Solstice is slightly cheaper because its 10 day and ovation is 14 day. I have more points with RCCL but I believe Celebrity will honor the at the same level. HERES THE ITINERARIES TO CHOOSE FROM:

  2. That's unfortunate, as the camps provide such a fun experience for the children. But clearly "you don't blame them" - not sure if that's some sort of a shot at parents who allow their children to participate in activites or not....

OF COURSE NOT!!! My point is that’s the personal choice of this particular couple. If that’s what they want to do, then I don’t blame them and we are happy to spend time with their kids. We have travelled with other friends who have used daycare & camps and their kids liked it. We have no problem either way. Just want to accommodate the friends we are traveling with. It is not my desire to use this or any other forum to take shots at anyone

  3. If you want the daycare/camps... I'd HIGHLY suggest Carnival. They have the only full service, no-extra fee camp for 2 year olds. They'll change diapers, etc. And the 2 and 4 should be in the same group, too. If that's a big deal for you, Carnival is the best for 2 year olds, by far. Else you'll have the option of putting the 2 year old in the baby room at an extra charge with limited capacity on Royal Caribbean. Your 2 and 4 year old will not be together on Allure.

They will not be using daycare/camp for either child. They will not leave their kids with someone they don’t know & I don’t blame them

  4. The balconies on oasis/allure are bigger than balconies on other ships anyway, they are deeper. We just did a midship balcony on oasis, cabin 6664 and it was a great balcony. Good views and a very good location. Close to the boardwalk, close to the elevator, close to the stairs to the promenade. We actually really enjoyed being able to go to Johnny Rockets for breakfast, being able to just walk down the stairs to the promenade and we watched the parades from deck six. It was such a perfect location we would absolutely book it again.

Thank you for sharing this info. I recently went on Regal Princess and was very disappointed at the size of the balconies. Glad to hear they are larger on Oasis/Allure

  5. I love aft balcony cabins for the view and the larger balconies. But Allure/Oasis are totally new to me. Are there balcony rooms on either ship that have a larger balcony?

I appreciate any input you can give me. I'm planning a cruise with my 86 yr old mother and I think she will enjoy a nice balcony very much.

  6. Haven't sailed on RCCL for some time. I want to take my 86 yr old mom on Allure or Oasis while she can still travel. I think she'd like the ship no matter the destination because of the shows etc.

however, I thought the prices would drop more because they are no longer the biggest etc etc. they haven't seem to come down much. I'm on a tight tight budget. Can anybody tell me when is the best time to get a good deal on one of those ships?

I appreciate your help very much
