  1. Don’t know of any reason why… Here is a screenshot of full contact details. Best to try all modes confirmed before switching to an alternative provider. Good luck….
  2. It’s usually up to the ship, if they pay for the service, or not.
  3. La Casa Del Habano in Port Zante. Then around Basseterre are restaurants, shops, stalls, cafe/art galleries, Museum and a Church.
  4. Best to take a cab from the port rank about $12 per cab e/w Port/Ship usually operate a gratis golf buggy shuttle service between ship and cab rank. Would not consider the water taxi as the walk, queuing and getting on/off the ferry would prove challenging.
  5. Pre Covid Close to the port is Lili’s - Can be busy and crowded - However the Rhum selection is great (They had La Filbuste) - Cab about €12 e/w Further away - Anse des Salines - Can be be busy and crowded - various bars and bed vendors - Cab about €50 e/w If seeking something more genteel venue and less busy, then contact Club Med about Les Boucaniers in Martinique, they used to offer a Day Pass, not sure now. We paid under €100.00 pp and had a great stay. Taxi took about 45 minutes there and 1 hour back with a price of €50 for the taxi each way. Port Duty Free has a great selection of Rhums at various price points.

  8. As any other tour may leave one with a feeling of disappointment, however slight, then consider saving Xtreme for next visit and taking something off piste and memorable. For consideration is a Pool Day Pass at Sheer Rocks (Large private day bed for a couple - No beach) being pampered in a quirky luxury style, that one would never experience on a good beach restaurant. The ambience, food, drinks, service and views are great. Also, as arriving somewhat late, most popular beach places will be rammed, but Sheer Rocks will not and your day bed is reserved. Check out their website….. If not interested, post and one will think again. Sharing Sheer Rocks photographs on Face and Instagram will be very different from the usual, sometimes boring, beach/food offerings. Book early in advance, as genteel and discerning cruisers as now discovering it.
  9. There were yo/yo obstructed outsides closed out for singers and headline acts. Then, again there might be unofficial “romance” staterooms for crew, but this is just a rumour 😉
  10. Don’t fret over the transfer. If required the Hotel Concierge will arrange a car. Again, retain a Bill/Receipt for the car.
  11. Has one contacted the booked hotel, or Cunard in Southampton, as it’s this office that would have booked the transport? Personally, one would take a cab and then look to sort the matter from the car in transit, then from a hotel room, rather than a airport. Think Cunard would be apologetic and receptive. Get a receipt for the cab fare to also include any gratuity in the single amount.
  12. Pleased everything is resolved. Have a great tour, being probably the best Antiguan Tour for sea/land vistas…. Hopefully, the lunch menu will still include the famous Antiguan “kick butt” jerked chicken, the depth of flavour is exceptional. Have a cold beer to hand. A small gratuity to staff will be so greatly appreciated. What goes around…….
  13. Consider. https://trinitariahouse.com/luggage-storage They also an airport cab service from their premises for an additional fee.
  14. Contact the official association https://www.facebook.com/PRPBA/

  16. Cab takes about 45/50 minutes, with a fare of $35 e/w plus tip. Picturesque dive. Allow an extra 10 minutes for heavier port traffic on return.
  17. This is not a problem. It falls into the domain of theft, when handfuls of various refreshment packets, together with a carrier bag being utilised on a daily basis.
  18. Yes, miscreants lift anything, teabags, condiment sets, plastic glasses, trays, cutlery, towels, cushion covers and even artwork from walls. The list is endless. Their mantra is, if I can lift it, I can steal it. Just not Cunard…..
  19. A convenient central point, from which all the places of interest could be easily radiated from. Consider also using the word “Base”.
  20. Think the OP could see the need for a HUB when touring. Predictive text possibly ruled.
  21. Tried a “shared” minibus tour once, many years ago, then never repeated the experience. Happy to go private, finding it more relaxed and enjoyable. Time and itinerary is ours, not others.
  22. Strange, same with us….. Telephoned and as a smallish amount had it successfully refunded to our last used credit card….Thought no more about it, until today (?).
  23. The Naked Fisherman… Book the lunch (Lobster) and day in advance. @reedprincess will post later with more “real” St Lucia Beach Restaurants serving great lobster.
  24. The Marriott with a day pass…. But book in advance as places may be limited for the day of one’s stay
  25. Jacqui O’s, but DO book lunch/day in advance as lunch space is limited. But, if one wishes to go all in, then lobster to start, followed by the JO Special Gourmet Burger. Served with a bespoke original cocktail, based on one’s preferences.
