My husband booked a cruise through Celebrity casino about a month ago. It was a free cruise through a BBC offer. He just realized that he never got insurance. Is it too late for us to get cruise insurance? If not, can anyone recommend a company that will give us cruise insurance? We are booked on the Equinox leaving March 2023. Thank you. I just ordered the medallions. I guess I am getting confused between the Princess app and the medallion and which does what. If I have it correct, I get us all registered and do checkin on the app then use the medallion on the ship to open the cabin door and order drinks and such. Is that correct?

Just wondering. How do we get our medallions? We have a cruise on February 18 on the Sky. Do we have to order them and if so how and when? We have only cruised Princess once and that was before Covid and I can’t remember how we got the medallions. Also, can we check in online when the time comes or do we have to do it on the medallions? It sounds like people are having a lot of problems with them. Thank you

First time on Holland. When will I be able to check in? My cruise is February 11th. Is this when I will be able to choose my embankment time or do they assign that to me? Thanks for your help

I have a question. I just received a blue chip deal by Celebrity yesterday ( not sure why since I don’t gamble). It was for a free veranda and they gave me a few dates to choose from. When I clicked on it , I had to fill out my first, second, and third choice on the cruises. What happens now? Do I wait for someone to call me? Thanks you for any advise you can give me on getting one of these cruises.

This is our first Holland American cruise (Nieuw Statendam) but have many cruises under our belt. We booked this cruise through VTG so am wondering will we get any chance for an upsell? Do these upgrade or up sells come in an email or do we bid from their website? we are fine with our inside cabin but was just wondering how upgrades/upsells work with HA. Thank you

Thank you for the advise. We did go through a larger company so they probably won’t do it. That’s ok with us. We will be happy with our inside since we spend very little time in our cabin anyways. We are pretty excited to try this cruise line. Have read many great reviews about them.

My husband and I are experienced cruisers but this will be our first time on Holland America (Nieuw Statendam). We normally book inside rooms which of course we did for this one. Does Holland America send out emails allowing to upgrade? If so, does everyone get the chance to upgrade or is it only for a selected few? Also, how far in advance do they send out upgrade notices? Our cruise will be in February. Thanks in advance for the reply’s. I am reading posts and watching tube videos to try and get any info. That would be different on Holland than other cruise lines. We have cruised Carnival, NLC, RCI, MSC, Princess, and Celebrity. I can’t imagine there would be too many differences.

I seem to be finding mixed answers to this question. How many gala nights on a 7 day Caribbean cruise on Nieuw Statendam ship? For my husband will a sports jacket and dress pants be dressy enough? Does he need to wear a tie? Also, after dinner he likes to change back into shorts for the rest of the evening. We tend to turn in by 9:30 or so. I thought I read where shorts are not allowed around the ship in the evening. Is this true? Thank you

This is our first cruise on Princess Sky so have a few questions. we will be jumping off one cruise and getting on this cruise on the same day. This cruise is in February of 23 out of Fort Lauderdale. we will need to do some laundry as soon as we can when we get on the ship. What and where is the fastest way to get the tokens for the machines? Do I have to use their laundry soap or can I bring my own? Can we order water to be delivered to our cabin? Does Princess have sparkling water ex. Pelligrino? We do not drink alcohol so hoping they have it. Are the dining rooms open for breakfast and lunch each day or only on certain days? I know I could probably find the answers to these questions somewhere but thought I would just ask my fellow cruisers. Can’t wait to check out this ship. Thank you

My husband and I have cruised about 25 cruises but never on Holland America. We just booked a 7 day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale next February on the Nieuw Statendam. I just have a couple of questions. we don’t drink alcohol but love sparkling water such as Pelligrino and others. Do they sell that on the ship? Can we buy a case of water to be delivered to our cabin? Are there small refrigerators in the cabins. It says we have open dining. We like to eat early. Is there a way to set this up ahead of time or do we just go to the dining room when it’s time? What time does dining begin? Are the dining rooms open for breakfast and lunch each day? No self serve laundry I take it. Could not find it on the ship. I know I can look up a lot of these questions but this is so much easier to ask my fellow cruisers that have cruised on this ship. we are excited to try a new cruise line. We are fairly quiet people and don’t need a lot of hoopla. We enjoy meeting new people, watching evening shows and listening to music.

Will the Divina have their dining room open for breakfast each morning? Does the dining room open for lunch hours at all? one more question. How many gala or dress up nights will they have on a 7 night cruise? Thank you

My husband and I just booked a last minute cruise on the Divina next month. Just a simple balcony cabin. We have sailed MSC 2 other times but it has been a quite a while. Just have a couple of questions. 1. My husband drinks a ton of water especially when we are relaxing in our room. Can we bring a case of water with us and if so, so we just put a luggage tag on the case and leave it with our luggage when we drop it off? 2. Is bottled water included with the easy package meaning can we just ask for a bottle of water at any bar? We don’t have the drink package because we don’t drink alcohol but checking in case. Also does MSC sell sparkling water such as Pelligrino or another brand? If so, would it be included on the easy package? 3. Will MSC give me a bathrobe if I ask for one? 4. My embankment time on my paperwork says 10:00 AM. That’s really early. Does that sound correct. 5. If we park at the port, do we drop our luggage off first or park first? First time parking at the port. 6. How can we find out ahead of time which pier we would need to be at? Just not sure if other ships will be parked there. I think that is it and I appreciate any help I can get from my fellow cruisers. thank you
