Had you been on the ship prior to it being stretched? Are you in a new suite or one of the existing suites?

Do you have an opinion about the pool deck area?

Hoping you have great weather all week long!

We were in the new ocean view suite to start. Shower door broke , so they moved us to an older suite. Still redone.
    newer suite:

more drawer storage and more outlets for sure. Modern.
Older suite quite nice with living area by the window instead of the bed. More wood like that of a yacht. Less outlets.

pool area very nice. Especially during port days. Pool somewhat small. Only 3 feet deep.

this is our first windstar cruise. Very impressed so far.

Looks wonderful!  Do you have to wear masks on deck?

They are pretty strict about masking up, but around the pool. If you are by yourself most people take them off. At pigeon island we did not have to wear them. We are getting tested tomorrow in order to go to Antigua. We will be tested before getting off in st Maarten. Can use that test to get to the USA. They will be refunding our 49 dollars as they have to rest us to enter st Maarten. The 49 is what we paid for  the antigen test last week.

Thanks for the update.  We are scheduled to be on the 14 Night from St. Maarten to Barbados on the 31st.

Is the Amphora Restaurant open every evening?  Apparently it was only open 2-3 nights on the previous cruise.

    Have fun!

Open three nights out of seven

  4. Internet tip. We have T-Mobile so in port we get data. I did buy the surf package 500mb when at sea and evenings. I found my iPad burned through data. Posted a couple pics and used 50 mb the first log in. Better to use your phone . Lasts longer.

  5. Embarkation:

30 to 40 people waiting under a white tent waiting for St Maarten immigration. Started taking 6 people at a time after immigration on a shuttle to ship. actually started at 11:45am.

    Shuttled to the ship.

    Once on the ship.

Covid test by the Doctor. Nasal swab not inserted too far.
    Glass of sparkling wine.

Then, check in presenting cc . Got room cards.

    then spa table.

then restaurant reservations . Allowed one at charro and one at candles. Once everyone is reserved you can waitlist. We are WL for candles.

exhausted at this point . Most people were brain dead from travel yet still chatty. some were sleeping sitting in their chair.

we did Candles on Saturday, then Amphora on Sunday. Both meals outstanding.

    133 passengers on board.

During dinner our waiter said “I have been waiting for this moment for so long. “. As he looked at dining room full of people.

  6. Having been on mostly HAL and Seabourn, they try to sell you a higher priced cabin as the sailing gets closer. Just curious if Windstar does the same. We sail this Saturday, and I am sure we are not full, and have had no emails  except to put us on a completely new itinerary.

  7. So we both got our pcr test today, and received the negative results in 2 hours. All good. Immediately filled out the ehas form with the info and paid $30 pp. Mine came back in 9 minutes. Almost two hours, and my partners has not come back. He got a successful transmission, and was charged on $30 on his cc. I know it says it can take up to twelve hours. I sent a follow up email to ehas for him. This trip just isn’t worth the stress involved . IMHO.
