I had a booking in October that I paid the single supplement for. 

When I was on the Encore in August, I added someone to the cruise.

The future cruise consultant said I needed to pay $5849 to add a companion to my suite , and that when the current cruise ended I would be refunded $2480 as I paid more than the regular fare due to the single supplement. 

Got home and only got refunded $760 from Seabourn instead of the $2480.

What happened is the other $1700 went the the travel agency for commission.

At no time did the lady on Seabourn explain this.  

The TA said she would take care of the situation. 

I put the $5849 on Amex, so if it does not get resolved, I guess I’ll dispute the charge for the difference.

Just curious if HAL will do the Grand Africa in and out of Fort Lauderdale in 2024. Is this a popular itinerary? Nothing yet from what I can see on the website. Seabourn has one scheduled, but it’s also very expensive. 

I would just drink it. 

I have found that if it’s before final, Seabourn will take care of you. After final normally its and upgrade and possibly OBC.

It’s always make me sad when someone asks this question. 

If you want to request ticketing for a flightease flight prior to final payment, do you just click on request ticketing. For those who have done this, how long does it take, and what is the process for payment. Do you just get a link to pay with a credit card?

Click on a cruise you are interested in. Then click on view itinerary. Under each specific port, click on learn more and shore excursions will populate with the price. 

According to the fine print, any cancellation after the 3 days before embarkation could be subject to 100% cancellation fee. I have take 4 Seabourn cruises, and when I cancel and exchange for another excursionI on board, I have never been charged any cancellation fees. Not sure if you just cancel. 

Searched , but could not find. What are the current showtimes on the Ovation?

They seem to renew it every year, but never guaranteed.

I lost my partner of 30 years one year ago. Up until his death, we had taken 41 cruises. I will continue our journey by myself, but it takes a lot of legwork to not just pay double the rate. We were 5 stars on HAL, but I now am branching out. Cunard has certain promos where they have a solo cruising sale. Celebrity awhile back had no single supplement on certain cruises. Also Virgin has had promos for single sailors. Seabourn has a page for solo cruisers. Seabourn’ s single supplement is 1.5 on select sailings. Although its more expensive to begin with , when you add gratuities, drinks, etc on a HAL cruise at 200% sometimes is just slightly more that a HAL cruise. Again, it takes a lot of work, but I will continue the journey . I also on every cruise i have taken, put some money in the slots. What the heck ,  you never know. Not a lot. Never know when you might get a casino rate. Just go off a Princess cruise where I actually won a small amount instead of donating. 

And yes, the first ones were more difficult than you can imagine, but it’s what we loved to do. I just put his passport next to mine and say let’s go. 

It is working on the app. I can book via the app. 

I have several seabourn cruises scheduled this year. I always choose the discount on shore excursions. Lately, the discount has gone bye bye. I signed out and back in, saved my preferences, to no avail. Any suggestions?

I don’t think you can request this. Best to do your own laundry. If I need to do laundry on a cruise I do it myself as they wash and dry things with very hot water and very high heat. I don’t want all our clothes to shrink so I find it best if I do it myself. 

The combination of shrinking clothes and endless eating are never good. LOL

Looks like OBC is disappearing with the Suite life sale. Business must be good. Glad I got it added to my bookings 

its interesting that HAL and Seabourn have laundry by the bag, but princess does not.

Does Princess do laundry by the bag, and if they do , how much is it per bag.
