  1. While I've not used any of the following guides yet, I've booked with all of them for 11/24. They are all highly rated and recommended... Dubrovnik - toursbylocals.com/Marijana S. Valletta - maltatours.com/Chris - he and his wife, Joan, maltatourguide.com, operate separately. She's very popular (and well known to others on CC). She was fully booked for our date, so I booked with Chris. Hope this helps.
  2. Of course, would be added expense which O doesn't want to incur at this particular time, but what about adding those individual, moveable canopies to the chaise lounges that would allow one to sit in full or partial sun? Personally, I prefer the deck above the pool, and love the sun, but having that option would be great! And maybe help to solve the problem??
  3. Marina, Riviera, Vista - all same size. Marina and Riviera have Jacques. Vista and R ships do not.
  4. You're right. It's not. Time to get over it.
  5. Just wish O had named it something else...so that people would get it right. Ember...no s.
  6. But if your invoice stated the 3 day policy, you should have been given that option. While it's true that answers can vary among O reps, I think in this case I'd also start looking for a new agent.
  7. Up to 3 days before or after without deviation. Transfers only on day of departure/arrival.
  8. As far as I'm concerned, mat/floor pilates is completely different from a reformer, and yes, for my 75 year old body, the reformer is much more comfortable. Easier for stretching, and many more exercises than on the floor. But again, I don't expect to see a reformer onboard any O ship any time in the near future. Unfortunately.
  9. You're much more willing than I to give that "gentleman" the benefit of the doubt.
  10. I said it was disappointing, but in no way, does it affect my cruise 'one little bit'. I'd also add dressing like a slob in a nice dinner venue (whether on land or at sea) shows a complete lack of awareness and respect... for self, for others, and for the venue. And I'm not into policing anybody's behaviors but my own. Common sense should dictate there's a time and place for everything...but of course, in today's world, the practice of common sense is a lost art.
  11. Disappointing, to say the least. And this is in Europe. I can only imagine what we'll see next year in the Caribbean. 🙄
  12. Where? Not seeing it on the web site.
  13. A subject dear to my heart. Have been hoping O would add a reformer to the fitness room, but alas, unless it's something new on one or all of the ships, I've never seen it on either Marina or Riviera. I keep hoping.
  14. Sounds wonderful! One of our favorite "activities" anywhere we are. And I couldn't agree more about 'days at sea'! ☺️
  15. Since November is definitely off season, and I'm reading that it's the rainiest month of the year there, not too concerned that we'll be joined by throngs of people. If I'm wrong, oh well, they have as much right to be there as I do, so we'll muddle through and still enjoy it. (Always reminded of our first trip to the Amalfi coast some years back on a cruise in October. Poured rain all day. We loved it! So much so that we went back a few years later on a land trip and stayed for several days...that time in sunny April. We don't travel anywhere during high season, so that's one way to avoid cruise crowds.)
  16. Sorry, didn't check Wikipedia before posting, but happy to be visiting both. I was in Dubrovnik in the early 70s when it was Yugoslavia. Loved it then, will love it next year, I'm sure.
  17. If they're making changes for the November crossing, I'd be very surprised if changes for earlier sailings aren't forthcoming. But...???
  18. After reading OP's post earlier today, I was thinking we might be getting the same email regarding Vista, 11/11/24, Athens to Miami...but didn't expect to get it today! Istanbul and Ephesus cancelled, replaced with 2 more stops in Greece (Gythion, Argostoli) and 2 in Croatia (Kotor, Dubrovnik). Not surprised and not unhappy, as we've not been to any of the added stops. Was looking forward to Ephesus, but spent 5 days in Istanbul some years ago. An overabundance of caution over a year out? Maybe, but relative to 'berthing' requirements and planning, and with all the changes happening for all cruise lines in that part of the world, not at all surprising.
