  1. The replenish package has a sticker regardless of whether its purchased online or after boarding.

To the OP - I found that it was worth it. You can get plenty of non-alcoholic cocktails, I particularly enjoyed the mojito. You can pretty much ask for any frozen drink to be made virgin.

Plus you can get redbull. Which my kids liked.

  2. Thanks for sharing your experience! Did you have to wait long when you arrived? And how did you manage to get a setting for 11? We actually have a group of 12 and thought the only way we can be "somewhat" together was break our group up as 8 people and 4 people (a mixed group of little toddlers and a very senior person - hence our need to eat early).

Our longest wait was half a hour, but that was a formal night(second) and we showed up early for our reservations.

The other nights we were seated in five minutes. They put together four or five tables together. So we had a long table for the 11 of us.

  3. When you goto the mdr there is two lines. One for reservations and one without. The line with reservations usually is less wait time.

We were just on the oasis with mtd. A party of eleven. We changed our reservation time though out the week. We would make a new time each night as we were leaving the mdr. We also made with the same waiter (randall bill).

He was great and after the second night he always had our drinks waiting for us at the table, like traditional dining.

So, no you don't have to make reservations before boarding, they go out of their way to accommodate you.

  4. Our experience has been good with the package.

We've purchased the package twice, once on the allure and just last week on the oasis.

We got all photos and cd even though our kids were in different rooms( three rooms total) we got over 400 photos.

The last night of your cruise we just took the stack of photos(from all three folders) to the desk and they never question or look at any of the pictures. After we got home we found pictures that wasn't even ours

We paid $424 online before the cruise and then while on board they was offering it for $449 earlybird special. Then $499 at the end of the week.

  5. We were on Oasis last week and although they probably change the order of the menus each week, here are some notes that I made:

Day 1 was 'Mojo' for us: for starters, the Asian Coconut Seafood Soup was to die for! It was absolutely delicious! I had the slow roasted prime rib even though it was listed as slow roasted steak on our actual dining room menu. Very tasty! Spouse said the ceasar salad was excellent. For dessert, the creme brulee was very good - not perfect but very good. It was more jello-y than creamy but still tasted great.

Day 2 was Saffron but we opted for the Windjammer Marketplace that evening because they had a 'Seafood Extravaganza' which was wonderful - tons of all different kinds of seafood - lots of shrimp, fish fillets, seafood salads, etc. Very good.

Day 3 was Pimiento: I had the Royal Shrimp Cocktail (only 4 medium size shrimp though - not the 6 large prawns hanging off a glass like I'm used to) and the Garlic Tiger Shrimp. The Garlic Tiger Shrimp were out of this world - absolutely delicious! You can tell I'm a seafood lover. The tiramisu for dessert was moist and delicious.

Day 4 was Shiitake: The Shrimp Gyoza and Chicken Ceasar Salad were good. Can't remember what dessert was - I think I just ordered a scoop of ice cream.

Day 5: Basil: for starters, I had the crab cake (yummy!) and spouse had the Arugula and Bosc Pear Salad, then a Manhatten Strip steak and Cherries Jubilee for dessert (with a scoop of vanilla ice cream). Although the link to the menu previously posted shows 'Surf & Turf' for tonight, there was no Surf & Turf on our actual dining room menu.

Day 6: this was the 2nd formal night - Jasmine: you HAVE to try the lobster tail - it was awesome! Juicy and tender with a spoonful of drawn butter - absolutely delicious! I had the Seafood salad for starters and the Grand Mariner Souffle for dessert -(double yummy!).

Day 7: Pomodoro: I had the scallops for starters (small but very good), the Fish, Seafood and Mash (way too much food for me - 2 breaded cod fillets, 2 breaded shrimp and 2 breaded scallops with a huge stack of garlic mashed potatoes with peas and carrots. I wish I hadn't eaten the whole thing but I did. Then I had a piece of the most delicious key lime pie for dessert - I live in south Florida and it was one of the tastiest slices of key lime pie I've ever had. Some key lime pie is way too sweet but this was just tart enough to let you know it was key lime. Really good. Spouse had the apple dome with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I don't know what order the menus will be week after week but they pretty much follow what's listed. All the food in the MDR was absolutely delicious. We didn't eat in any of the specialty restaurants because frankly, we saw no need to. The food in the MDR was awesome, in our opinion. Of course, so was the food in the Windjammer Marketplace and that's also our opinion.

We were stuffed by the time we disembarked on Saturday. I don't think I'll be able to eat another meal for several days.

What route were you on? Eastern or western

  6. I have a q uestion about the Oasis after dry dock. If they took out Focus, does that mean there are no more folders to choose your photos? I want to get the package with all of the prints and all of the digital photos, but if they don't print out a lot of them now I don't think it would be a great deal. I guess I was just wondering if they went to mostly digital from the kiosks. Thanks for the help in advance.:):):)
  7. I have only been on the Allure. They have the same comedians all week. Do all Royal ships have the same setup, especially the Freedom of the Seas.

I know other cruise lines change their comedians during the week on a 7 day cruise and also have "G & R" rated versions of their act.

Also is the comedy club venue small on the Freedom. Do you need to make reservations?
