  1. LOL 😸 we own 201 shares of NCLH purely for OBC over the last 2 decades with its ups & downs. 95% onboard has no clues what is CC and the ones on the other platform are just as clueless with the live reviews. I don't color my comments but do try to make it fun while going with the flow. Funny thing is that 4 of us got seated within 5 minutes of showing up in the smaller MDR tonight. Watch out, going to Cagney's tomorrow night with a reservation for 4. But, if my words can move the stock, wow - imagine Anyway, carry on and better leave those OBC alone for all the minority shareholders holding 100 shares each. Full disclosure: also own CCL stocks too but the next cruise coming up later this year is RCL.
  2. Prima's StarLink WiFi for guests use is slow, very slow ... Throttled even slower than our last Prima TA in Nov 2023 (last year) I don't know what else to say ... be thankful that Station Zebra at sea remains online - just not going to bother w any attempt to upload 🫢 Below is Nov 2023 onboard the Prima with same equipment & configuration, WiFi 6ax
  3. After dinner at The Commodore, it's time to check out the Penrose Atrium This was earlier in the mid afternoon Duo Rika live again - Familiar Strangers & Shane also onboard.
  4. By tomorrow morning, we'll know whether the Pearl is early for arrival after 8 or 9 AM instead of scheduled 2 PM Weather ahead for the ports, warmer than expected, odds of being on the wet side.
  5. Walk up to The Commodore Room at 6:30 PM, not a big crowd around the Belvedere Bar waiting or standing around, good sign. Hostess said it's full but wait should be less than 30 minutes. Show my card and gave her both cabin #, gave me a pager & said a short wait 🤫. Barely sat down around the corner and got buzzed. Seated by one of the big round window in the back - magics - plenty of help out front standing around, feel very different than the Hudson. Making a difference, maybe - 2 sold out shows tonight ( Donna Live #2 and #3 ) several hundreds in lines for the theater. Getting our food orders in, digitally.
  6. @Fogfog I own a battery powered shaver, no cords. When traveling, disposal ones work for me - done & lighter on the return trip. That outlet is okay for smartphone & iPad/phone charger with low amp requirements. Ships like the Viva & Prima have sufficient outlet to not be bothered with using it as an extra.
  7. Photos - just another typical BB midship balcony stateroom on the Prima. Outdoor coffee table relocated inside 👍 Low power shaver outlet
  8. @Fogfog Fire Zone 2 is FWD, would be near the OL or Galaxy Pavilion, elevators & stairs area. Let's hope & pray it's not a trauma or anything serious, life-threatening, etc that require a medevac ... still within coverage range by a typical USCG Sikorsky MH-60T Jayhawk for SAR, with a 800 miles range & aerial refueling, I believe.
  9. Code Alpha just called over PA, Deck 17, Zone 2 - Guest Landing ?? This is not a drill. Nearest land / port is St. John, Canada about 300 miles to our west as we continue on a 35 degree or NE heading at 16 kts. Pearl is showing an ETA of 9 AM iceland arrival tomorrow, 2nd of May ... several hours ahead of schedule.
  10. Confirmed - the housekeeping guide a/k/a cheatsheet proof. But, if you get a towel animal, that's a bonus 🫢 It's 15:30 or 3:30 PM - housekeeping is just about done. Maybe some loose ends and laundry run, someone to slip those Freestyle Daily for the next day - they are done for the day ? Woohoo - that's pretty efficient for doing 22 rooms in 7 to 8 hours; and, they get the next 15 to 18 hours off to do whatever below deck ?? Am I missing something here ?
  11. @The P We had to make another trip to walk to Guest Services as they flagged Susan's onboard account as paying cash and is restricted as a result, another corporate I.T. or server error. Heading over, walked past the gift shops and guess what, she didn't spotted shoes but taking an interest in Gucci ... triple points using NCL credit card.
  12. There is a bedside 110V outlet in our balcony stateroom, near the headboard & next to the bedside lamp mounted to the night dresser. Not sure if this is newly added as I don't recall seeing it last time on the Prima. It is good and now unnecessary to tap into the 220V outlet for the bedside lamp. These staterooms are accessible friendly with a different and extra component below the door signage.
  13. We got our window dining table view just before noon and just finished - it's 1:30 PM. Still full, some just sat down and waiting for food. Coffee or tea ? Motion ahead ?
  14. I shall give you 4 hmmm, one a day and the problems still haven't gone away. What the leadership hasn't figured out is to think outside the box with their big heads, watches them standing outside the MDR with either heads down, back against most guests and or busy on their Nokia style handset ... speaks for itself. Ate last night and thought we would skip the line, wait & madness and ... WTH was that BS given, not upset with the host or assistant manage. Guests left and there were nobody free to quickly clean & quickly turn the table around. I am not doing - unofficial - undercover reporting on CC, but these junior officers should and need to watch via our lens. A simple fix for lunch, stretch the hours, open at 11:30 instead of noon, and keep it open until 2 PM, not 1:30 PM - with 2.5 hrs, the odds of 2 sittings can be better assured. Just an idea, not my "duty" to tell or suggest how they should run the Prima's ship operations. If they open the Nami space for card players from dawn until 4 PM, why not open The Commodore MDR, smaller but definitely can help with the ship sailing full, especially on full sea days. 😤🙄😱 It's not open and was never open on the last TA going westbound either, as we were on her. Oh, wait - earning results just out, rising costs and need to find ways to make cuts and raise passenger fares.
  15. Whether it's an iPhone or Android smartphone, you can use a clock widget that show World time, set to different cities like ours - match the clock to ship time.
  16. Foggy morning to @Fogfog Sharon, how's your balcony view and getting any use ? Is Robert finding Internet adequate for him to do some work at sea ? Does that IT person knows you are w CC and we have 2 live reporting souls onboard, 😆 LOL I think you will fine dining in Paloma tonight, we are going to be in Cagney's tomorrow - taking a break between specialty meals, hahaha. Peter's CC pub crawl is tomorrow, 2 PM meeting at The Local, going ? Will go & see if he can use a little help. Going to do a little walk-around later, after lunch for more undercover reporting. @dexddd we cancel Prima twice but did do her westbound TA in November, nieces & others warned of the precise issues we are finding again, worst and not improving. Okay, I will need to get out wet weather gears to check, pool closed yesterday & not sure about the other upper deck racetrack - nothing happening w the water slides. We'll somehow make things work, as you know 😁😆🤫
  17. Day 5 Ship has turned NE on a 30 deg heading to slip between weather fronts, mostly wind & rain, seas at 3 meters or about 9 to 10 ft. Foggy outside and the balcony is useable if you put on a wet suit, rain gear and dress warmly 😁😆😸 Laundry Special today - $34 per bag stuffed full with 2 day turnaround. We are going to our 1st (free) bag tomorrow - once I get a bag and laundry slip from our steward (she didn't put any in the room) Shows are all full, really - that, or the NCL app is really, continued to be buggy and performing poorly. Ship is full & busy so not entirely surprised. Will check & see.
  18. A smooth ride tonight, later this afternoon & evening might be tricky to cut a safer & smoother path in between 2 fronts while turning NE toward Iceland. Thu, Fri & Sat. looking good - maybe getting in earlier than 1 or 2 PM on Sunday.
  19. Too much unspent non-refundable OBC, no problem - make a stop here on Deck 8 Mid First world problem solved 😁
  20. Day 5 onboard as it is 00:20 hour. Upgrade price to basic unlimited WiFi onboard for remaining 11 days using the 300 FAS minutes plan as a trade up is now down to $130, pretty sweet deal with the $145 credit. If we do this, we’ll still have $120 balance from the NR-OBC to spend on something else, i.e. $15 sale w 2 for $25 deal.
  21. Dinner tonight, despite the 45 minutes wait, was good, used 1 voucher for the wine plus 2 dining package - lots of food that challenged us to finish most. Pizzas - a meal by itself for 1 or 2 or more to share. Why can't they do in the Surfside Cafe w the same oven 🤔 They used cookies in one of the 5 dessert - yay 😁 The sides were just okay as per DW's subjective opinion.
