  1. It is scheduled to be rolled out on the Odyssey starting in about a week.
  2. I will suggest that. In fact, let's all do so!
  3. The crew member implementing the new mocktails (as well as the new Saketini alcoholic cocktails in conjunction with the new sushi counter at The Club) is leaving the Odyssey in Seattle in a few days to move over to the Encore to implement those new beverages. BTW, these new mocktails are tasty and sophisticated - I do feel like I'm enjoying an adult beverage and not a fruity drink. However, in terms of calories, I find some of them too sweet and ask for sugar to be omitted and syrup (e.g. elderflower) to be greatly lessened. Most of the calories come from the sugar content of these drinks.
  4. Frei non alcoholic sparkling wine was on offer a couple of days ago. I didn't try it though.
  5. Actually, the reason that this has only been implemented on the Odyssey is due to product delays. So other ships don't have the required ingredients at the moment.
  6. A new zero-proof cocktail program (consisting of 6 mocktails) just rolled out on Seabourn, only on the Odyssey so far.
  7. Was the 35% off for all (or only selected) voyages on Pursuit and Venture for all of 2023 and 2024?
  8. I have seen her twice on Seabourn. Did she do her Piaf show?
  9. One time, at least 4 or 5 years ago, I was walking through The Restaurant in the afternoon and saw a few staff sitting at various dining tables busily looking at printouts with customer names and photos in order to memorize names. Apparently there was a contest for staff who remembers the most names.
  10. I can't recall how the fresh fruit was on my one experience on Silversea. In any case, I have been more disappointed than not regarding the degree of ripeness of the fruit on Seabourn, which can't seem to get this right. At home, I enjoy eating fresh and perfectly ripened fruit daily, because I wait till the perfect degree of ripeness has been attained before I cut and serve them. On Seabourn, often times fruit is served before they should be, including melons, mangoes, avocadoes, pineapples, peaches, etc. I fully understand that provisioning fresh fruit and produce is a major challenge for cruise lines - especially at certain ports and on long journeys with many sea days - nonetheless, it is frustrating to see beautiful fruit compromised because they have been prematurely cut and served.
  11. Regarding Scenic, I watched a youtube video of its Eclipse expedition ship, and I was truly surprised by its decor: its over-the-top minimalist, post-industrial-chic, monochromatic grey-meets-grey metallic theme invites neither warmth nor calm of the soothing ocean blues outside. On a grey day, the sobering interior evokes sadness and austerity. In some of the exterior shots, I thought I was looking at a prison row. I would venture to guess that the designer had not designed for ships before. This harks back to the design aesthetics of the 1990s that the W Hotels ushered in: dark, trendy, night-clubbish coolness. I am not a fan of the bland and utilitarian Scandinavian decor on Viking - not that I have sailed on Viking before - but I'd even prefer that over this. Perhaps the ship looks much better in real life, but the video that I watched has really turned me off.
  12. Specific promotions come with specific T&Cs and are combinable or non-combinable with various other discounts or promotions. It is not necessary consistent and can be confusing and arbitrary. I've learned over the years to double check and be skeptical upfront.
  13. Often times there is no trivia on port days, depending on the cruise director and port and itinerary. If there is one, it is more casual: scores don't count towards cumulative totals, and teams can combine to make up for fewer attendees
  14. There is a spa Serene area on the two bigger ships as well; it is a bit smaller than on the three smaller ships, and it is a payable area unless you are staying in a spa penthouse suite. Sometimes when you have a spa treatment, they also allow you to wait in that area before and or after your treatment, but that depends on the staff because there is also a small, separate waiting area for your treatment.
  15. True, but hope springs eternal...
  16. I was referring to the dinner menu, which is more limited than on the bigger ships, especially the vegetarian and vegan sushi. I was not talking about Ramen and bentos which are featured for lunch only on the bigger ships, and for now sushi at the bar is only available for dinner on the venture.
  17. A friend who is currently on the venture sent me photos of the menu for sushi at the club, and it is more limited than the menu for dinner at sushi restaurant on the ovation or encore.
  18. I sailed with SS once and was not impressed with their food. As mentioned above, menus are the same for 3 days at a time and were not extensive. They were especially (and surprisingly) poor at willingness or ability to cater to guests with special dietary requirements (vegetarian/vegan, for example) when compared to SB.
  19. The new one has separate sizing for men versus women
  20. Thank you for this. The reason I asked is because the blue Alaska jacket I got from Seabourn a few years ago ran larger than normal, but that is a different type of jacket than the new black ones, I think.
  21. Are the sizes normal for a jacket? (they don't run bigger or smaller than a typical jacket.)
