  1. We have been on 12 Royal cruises and looking forward to going on Celebrity Constellation in Feb. This will be 5th on Celebrity.

Just got off Navigator this past Sunday. Seems to me Royal is continually cutting back on activities on sea days. and we have no interest in Rock walls, Or Flow riders. On our past Celebrity trips we thought the ships were more elegant a little more quiet. ( We don't stay up much past Midnight so can't say what goes on that time of day)

We also thought food was better and never had any problem with the shows

  2. On Navigator last week They only have a limited amount of games on.

They will have the Sunday, Monday and Thursday night game.

College football Saturday they had Notre Dame, Virginia then at night had Michigan State, Oregon

They only get ESPN 2 not what we are accustom too football Regular ESPN only had Soccer and Tennis on our cruise.

I am a football fan and do not like fall cruises because they do such a poor job getting tv channel reception No real good news channel either.

  3. Have a GREAT cruise. We sail on Navigator over Thanksgiving. We were on Navigator back in 2004 on our very first cruise. I was just reading a list of things onboard and it listed the ship as having 3 pools and one of them was a heated pool. I surely don't remember a heated pool on her. So please let me know, if it is so.

    Hi Paulette

Which pool am I suppose to check? The main pool

Also Paulette I sent a memo the the Dinning Dept to join several couples together for a large group table. Hope it works. Don't know if I went through your friend or not. They forwarded my request to the ship

  4. We were on the Allure last January at the time of the football National Championship. Ohio State and Oregon. They were going to show the game in the on air club (small Venue) then lucky us it rained outside on the ship they Cancelled the Aqua show then put the game on outdoors at the Aqua theater

sat in the rain and watched on the big screens they have out there. Great night and plenty of football fans.

  5. We'll be sailing over Thanksgiving and really hoping to catch the GA/GT game on TV. It's a sea day. Will we be able to watch it on board? If so, any ideas where?

That day is huge for college football top games

I will be in Vegas for that weekend for football

I would say odds of that game are small.

I always struggle with cruises in the fall because I have to miss college football

this year we are going Sept 6th early in the season should not miss to much.

  6. What about college basketball? We will be on during NCAA Tournament 2017, Harmony. HUGE college basketball fan.

If your cruise is during the early round games they will have a couple of the games but no way will you get a choice. If it is during sweet 16 elite 8

or final 4 odds are good you will see the game you want.

I am always disappointed trying to get games unless they are the days main game.

  7. I find in amazing how much more Galveston hotels are now compared to a couple of years ago, I always used to stay at Galveston now stay at a nice airport hotel and save 200.

Got the Houston Marriott for $75.00 on price line that includes tax Don't know much about the hotel but hoping it is good.

booked our transportation with Galveston Express for $20.00 per person senior rate over 55, each way and they will pick us up at Hotel. everything I have read on this company was very positive.

  8. We really loved our JS on the Adventure a couple of months ago. The biggest plus was the more room factor. We never felt crowded in the room. There was so much storage we didn't even use some of spaces.

The Diamond Club is very nice. If you go before dinner they always have great appetizers and you can get a drink or two to decompress before the evening. We really enjoyed meeting other people there.

In the morning there are often some simple breakfast items (pastries and fruit).

I like my coffee a little stronger so I figured out that I can do a regular latte using the machine then just do a single espresso shot on top of it and that would give me, effectively, a double shot. Once I figured this out I didn't have to go stand in the lines to get coffee in the morning. It's also often very quiet in there in the morning so you can sit and enjoy your coffee and maybe go over the events of the day the great and quiet view.

When we were on our last cruise in the JS we asked our cabin guy for some chairs with foot stools and he got some for us. We were on a back to back and we got to use them for all 14 days. It was a nice addition. We tipped him extra, but there was no other cost.

We don't get treated to this kind of luxury often and the JS really made us feel special. We loved it.

You got a great price and you are going to have an amazing cruise.

    Tom

  9. That should make the trip memorable, though I thought only Buckeye Fans got those good deals. ;) The location should be fine, it sounds like a reasonable deal, worth it is subjective, but I think you got a good value. The walk in closet is nice and the bathtub is nice on occasion.

Thanks for the input from everybody !!!

I also cheer for the Buckeye's !!!! always cheer for the BIG 10
