  1. Aren't he Spa passes capacity limited? If so, no need to limit them by price.
  2. I guess I am struggling with what this means. I interpreted it to mean, you wouldn't be getting any money refunded, which is understandable and what I would expect. With that in mind, I wouldn't even bother talking to NCL about it. It's lost money at this point. Just book your replacement flight and don't show up for the NCL flight. There will be no repercussions.
  3. We got off Encore on Nov 20 around 9:30 and I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes for our Uber.
  4. they were open in mid November.
  5. There are ladders at the bigger jumps. But it seems to me that the ladders looked worse than the jumps. I don't have this fear, so, please forgive me if this question isn't appropriate. You say "freeze" - is that the only concern? What if I told you the guides would give the needed push? Becuase they will if asked. They are all very good and accommodating.
  6. I'm shaking my head in disbelief. That is typically why one includes smh.
  7. This is an excellent point. You can count on being cancelled if it's the same PNR (record locator) for both outbound and return flights. Check before you book alternative outbound flights.
  8. Confiscated items are typically returned at the end of the cruise. At least I know that anything I had confiscated was returned.
  9. Welcome to Cruise Critic. This scenario has been discussed frequently here on CC. Everything I've read says you are out of luck.
  10. Coffee is free in the buffet. It's free with room service between 6:30AM and 10:00AM. I assume it is free with meals in the dining rooms, but, I also know they advertise Starbucks on the desert menus and I know Starbucks isn't free. But you wrote "we do like it to be good". That's subjective. If the buffet coffee is to your liking, then it's free. If Starbucks is to your liking, it isn't free. Baileys and coffee, you'd be getting the same free coffee mentioned above. But beware, Baileys and coffee would actually cost you $1.20 because NCL, being the absolute best at nickel and diming, priced Baileys at $16. Drinks package limit is $15 so you have to pay $1 plus 20% gratuity. The coffee part is free because basic coffee is free. If you want that Baileys served in Starbucks coffee, then you need to pay for it. Be careful though - if you ask for Baileys they will often use an imposter and not tell you. Some say they don't notice the difference, I do.
  11. The OP literally asked "How big a deal is it to grab a free drink for a friend". If answering "stealing" or "cheating" is holier than thou, how exactly should we have answered? They have already acknowledged it's a big deal, they want to know how much of a big deal. They asked a subjective, open question. All of the answers were appropriate. Before lashing out at the community, you should read the question carefully. Including the title, they asked four questions: How big a deal Is anyone going to notice how serious an offence anyone really care Two of the four could be considered yes/no. The other two are full on subjective, open ended questions. With regards to this idea that OP asked a yes/no question so the only proper answer is yes/no - this isn't an objective test we're taking here, it's an internet forum. It's OK to elaborate on yes/no questions. But it is stealing and they would be thieves. Would you prefer that we lie to them?
  12. The "harm" is that they fully intend to do this and they are looking for hints and tips. As such, they are asking us all to be complicit in their criminal behavior.
  13. @Mr&MrsBennifer2022 I'd recommend the excursion to Jost Van Dyke. Nice boat ride, spend a little time on a beach, get a painkiller and nice boat ride back. All well within the ships time window. I agree with BirdTravels, if this is the first time you are in a port, you should at least venture out and see something. But, if you prefer to stay on the ship I think the message has been clear that you won't be alone.
  14. This will not be a problem, it's no different than if you missed your flight because you were stuck in traffic.
  15. As stated, long gone. You didn't have on the Bliss in 2018 either. At least, I didn't in June 2018.
  16. I don't think you made it up, I don't question your experiences at all. What I think can be questioned is the conclusion that some are trying to draw that this is a new fleetwide policy. Hence, I'm looking forward to other's experiences as well.
  17. If this were the case, then all shots would be banned. The report here is layered or mixed shots. Often times, these mixed shots have less alcohol than straight shots.
  18. As I recall, Dawn's steam/sauna are in the locker rooms. I'm a gym rat and I only know they are there because the locker rooms were the nearest restrooms and I'd used them a few times. So, my knowledge is only from passing through so to speak. Whether they are clothing optional or not, I'd assume they are seeing as they are in gender specific locker rooms.
  19. That's what we like - taking one for the team! Way to go Gary 😉
  20. You are correct, I missed the title. @Yesimapirate - my mistake.
  21. Rather snarky comment, especially considering @groundloop wasn't asking to be convinced. Just asking what people liked/disliked. If the shows are important to you, and it sounds like they are, the production shows on NCL's bigger ships is the best we've seen at sea. Way, way better than anything we'd seen on Carnival. Some are Broadway quality. I think generally speaking the entertainment quality across the board is better with NCL. NCL's newer ships do have decent TVs and do offer movies (I think they have on demand that you pay for, but not positive). I think every cruise lines internet stinks - they are all relying on satellites and that just has too many inherent issues compared to land based fiber optics. Free food on NCL isn't great. It's been a while since I was on Carnival but my recollection is the free food is better on Carnival, but neither is all that good. Carnival's chocolate lava cake is far superior to NCLs (I had to toss this in, I love Carnival's version and I've not found anyone on land or sea who does it quite as well). Our last four cruises have been on NCL, we too are looking to switch things up. A CCL cruise on one of their new ships is a possibility, but, also looking hard at Celebrity.
  22. You're right. And I'm not new here, you'd think I'd know better. 😉
