The BEST way is to tell them you need their booking number because your mom & dad wanted to send them a Bon Voyage gift. Then Call your cruise rep and have them link up your booking numbers for dinner. That'd be the best way to surprise them. Ken

good idea! do you live near them? maybe you can go to there house and have them log on and pretend you want to know about the cruise because you want to go on one in the future. if you get their cabin number/booking # you can link your dining times

Tablecloths aren't going to make it or break it for me. As long as the tables are nice and the food is good, I don't care whether there are table clothes or not.

When are you sailing on the Freedom? it has a dry dock and no one knows for sure what changes are coming.

it was supposed to be a long drydock but it got shortened.

I went out to walk along the waterfront after it stopped raining and saw a double rainbow. Just hung out for a few more hours, tried my luck again in the casino (and had none), watched it pour rain some more, and during a break in the downpour, quickly walked the two blocks to Punto de Vista. Got a little table just out of the rain and ordered a mojito (they have 2-for-1 all the time) and a shrimp mofongo. It was all delicious, but it was very, very loud under the awnings. Definitely a lively place! And it was a Friday night, after all. Sipped on my 2nd mojito, waiting out more rain, then back to the hotel and one more try in the casino. Again, no luck. I was tired so went to bed fairly early.

Yes you can hear the waves hitting the ship, but only during moderate to rough seas. Only heard it 3 of the 7 days we were cruising. Never heard anything from the bridge.

I don't expect to have any rough weather on our cruise so I should be okay :D

my friend dropped her sister off around 1 and said the parking was a nightmare. I guess that was probably why.

Stayed in 7204 on the Dream last July. Will definitely feel the motion but when in rough seas you will also hear the waves hitting the ship. Can be loud depending on the seas. Loved the cabin and basically had the outside deck to ourselves. Here is the view out of the window.

 

We chose deck 7 because it was underneath the bridge. Didn't have to worry about noisy people stomping their feet on the floor. :)

we have that cabin on the Freedom this coming July. can you really hear the waves that high up? and we picked it for the same reason. under the bridge. the officers cant be that noisy right?

There's no difference really. In some of the ports your in the same lounge as Diamond Platinum's and you get into the same long line while boarding.

 

So if anything your like five seconds behind them, not much time to even speak of.

Wow Carnival really likes teasing us. At 4:10am they posted on their Facebook page:

I know they are not offering Black Friday sales (just the pack and go sale) but I go to carnival.com to double check. And as expected there are no sales I can see. Why must you tease us Carnival?!?!
