Maybe when this all dies down RCI will come up with this great enhancement to the cruise experience where everyone gets twice a day cabin service.... and they double the gratuities.

I think I would have left it alone but that is just me.

If you don't have a drink package you won't have an issue. Just tell the bartenders not to open them when you order.

How many cabins a steward has is none of my business. How much money a steward makes is none of my business. How my cabin is serviced and how well my needs are met are very much my business. How much I decided to tip will be based on those factors alone. So it is pretty impossible for me to know what I might do at some future time with this matter. I certainly won't speculate based on past experience.

So the answer is no. Someone on board who has prepaid is not being charged the daily automatic gratuities so there is nothing to adjust.

One of my concerns with prepaying before the cruise is if for some reason you have to cancel, or you miss the ship, then you have to depend on RCI for the refund and we seem to read a lot of stories on these boards about how promptly RCI handles those matters. I'd just rather have gratuities charged to my seapass account.

Now don't do any more second guessing and enjoy the anticipation.
