  1. For what it's worth the Captain that cannot be named is named at the bottom of the first page of this program: https://solocabinchallenge.files.wordpress.com/2017/11/location1103.pdf Roy
  2. Nice toots today. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  3. Today's sunrise is another from my 2015 Allure of the Seas Transatlantic. On November 4 we were nearing the end of the crossing. Roy

  5. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann for the Saturday report. Keeping us on our toes today, Rich. Nieuw Amsterdam is in Fort Lauderdale, not Split. I think the Nieuw Statendam either is in Split today or was yesterday. Three great days to celebrate today, and I will celebrate an earlier sunrise tomorrow morning. I love the quote. Great discovery of King Tut's tomb and refrigeration was a very welcome invention. I don't think I have been to Horta and I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Canaletto Spaghetti Pomodoro, Braised Chicken Cacciatore "Al Forno" and Pistacio Gelato as served in MS Prinsendam's Canaletto November 4, 2017: W With just 2 sleeps at home before 2 total nights on the auto train, 9 nights in 5 hotels and 12 nights on the Rotterdam I am now in panic packing mode. Roy
  6. The newest ships never have had alignment designations. What I find especially confusing about the new Marine Traffic site is that the water is white and the land blue, exactly the opposite of what I would expect. Roy
  7. Not sure. I think likely it will be the top deck above the Rotterdam sign. Roy
  8. Nice strong toots. Looking forward to a different perspective for Rotterdam's next sailaway. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  9. Today's sunrise is from my 2017 Prinsendam transatlantic. November 3 was a sea day from Rome to Cartagena. Roy

  11. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann. I'll salute Dominican Independence, pass on the stout Interesting quote by McArthur. I'll give someone a dollar ff needed. Great day for emergency communications. I have not been to Liverpool. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Honey Pineapple, Rack of Lamb with Cannellinni Beans, and Black Forest Cake as served on MS Prinsendam November 3, 2017: Rotterdam is in Port Everglades today. When she returns November 12, I plan to board: Roy
  12. Without @richwmn's content we would be nowhere. I don't think it's fair to expect him to also be proofreader in chief. Roy
  13. And you're on the way. Bon Voyage! .. Roy
  14. Great news on Baby Murphy. @Cruzin Terri I would strongly urge Jim to get to urgent care. I've had a couple of fractures that did not seem like it at first. In that case there may not be a lot to do but it's better to have a plan before the cruise than problems later. Roy
  15. Not all mornings at sea turn out perfectly. This is from a 2014 round trip transatlantic, eastbound on Queen Mary 2 and westbound on Wind Star. On November 2 QM2 was near the midpoint of the voyage, and there was not a true sunrise but a first appearance of the sun: Roy

  17. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie/Sandi. I at least "sort of" make dinner most days but will get a reprieve for most of November. My congregation will be celebrating All Souls Sunday. Not sure about an epitaph. Interesting quote by Twain. I have not been to Kochi. I would expect some celebration in Indonesia today. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Pear, Cucumber, and Melon Gazpacho, Penne Primivera, and Viennese Apple Strudel, the first dinner on my 2017 Prinsedam transatlantic. Another cold one here today. Great catch @richwmn on Oosterdam's missed port. Roy
