If I have to go to that extreme, I guess I could post a pic of him as well with his permission of course. If they can't take my word for it, then I guess they have trust issues. I don't have time to make nonsense up.
On a 3 night cruise, it would be the middle night as that's the only one possible. The first night is too soon and the last night everyone is packing up. Never been on one, but that's the way it should be.
Nah, don't go to any extremes. It prolly wouldn't make a difference anyway.
(Thanks. Yeah, that's what everyone says on that thread, but in my case the ship will be staying overnight at Nassau. I suppose that night is still the only real option though. I bet attendance will be a little thin that night. Okay, back to the important topic now... PIZZA! :D)

Please delete your post. ;)OK. I work with a 100% Italian guy. He was born in Italy and came over here 12 years ago. He concurs that the Margherita pizza as portrayed in my pictures is the true Italian pizza. Real Italian pizza is on a thin crust with some sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil. So it looks like this debate can end now. Carnival does have the real deal. -
There is one thing missing from the Pizza Pirate counter. They have pepper flakes and parmesan available, but I wish there were jalapeno slices. I know this isn't a traditional topping, but I've gotten hooked on putting them on my pizza. I don't suppose there is anywhere to get those late night?

Preach it! :DI am a foodie, I have often commented on how substandard the MDR food is, especially the beef, and how below-average Guy's burgers are, and how NO-THANK-YOU-I'D-RATHER-REMAIN-HUNGRY most of the Lido deck food is.When it comes to food on Carnival, there are two pleasant surprises - the Steakhouse food and the pizza. I usually gamble until 2am and make my way up to Lido for the Prosciutto e Rucola (arugula) pizza which is excellent. Carnival prepares pizza neopolitan style (true Italian pizza), so if you're looking for bready Chicago-style, or gooey, drippy, oily New York style, or smoked mozzarella D.C. style, you might be disappointed in the genuine unevenness of a genuine, original pizza.

Whether that had anything to do with this thread or not, it was hilarious. :')The pizza I ate was baked by real Italians. Lip smacking delicious give me another slice now kinda pizza ;pI do enjoy the NY large sliced style pies. But what we need here is for a true Italian to join the conversation and explain the differences between the pizza pies :halo: verses Carnivals.

The Italian girl I dated didn't cook either. :(Her mom sure did though! Her late father had owned a grocery store and made and sold Italian sausage. That stuff was really good!I'm probably one of the few Italians that doesn't enjoy cooking. The other half must be dominant in that department. -

How would you describe the pizza you had, made by a true Italian? I'm just curious how it differs from what I know of as authentic Italian pizza. It's made a bit differently in different regions of Italy, just as it is here. The Naples style pizza I described in my post and closely resembling Carnival pizza WAS the first though. That's a fact. Not saying it is better, just first. Man, I'm starting to really crave a good pizza with all this talk. Sheesh! :DThe pizza I ate was baked by real Italians. OP, Carnival pizza is fairly close to Italian pizza, as brought to NY by immigrants from Naples, where pizza was invented, a thin hand-tossed crust, cooked in a pizza oven, moderately topped with Southern-Italian style marinara sauce and liberally covered with a cheese or cheeses. Various other toppings are also available. It is VERY good, if that is your preferred style of "real" pizza.
BTW, you mentioned pizza on Princess. I looked at a rating of the top five cruise line pizzas and found that Princess, at least on that site, was rated #1. Silversea was #2, followed by Disney at #3. CARNIVAL came in at #4! Not too bad.

It used to be Buffalo mozzarella which isn't goat cheese. Now it's just regular mozzarella. Do you really think they would spend extra money for goat cheese and not advertise it as such? Even if it was, it's delicious!

Just thought I'd reply to your post so all the effort you went to in creating a new account and typing this rather long bit of satire wouldn't be a complete waste of your time.:DLadies and Gentlemen please prepare yourselves for the testimony I have to give. I sailed on the Carnival Liberty this past weekend on a 4 day 3 night trip to Nassau and ate at the Golden Olympian each night. The menu seemed to be just basic meals you could get at Applebee's or any other small town 'fancy' restaraunt. That is, until I saw the flat iron steak. Now sure I've had many steaks in my short 21 years of living but for what comes next ladies and gentlemen, has changed me. So there I was sitting at my table when the two waiters assigned to my table blessed me with, you guessed it, the flat iron steak. The beauty was charred just enough on the outside to leave a crunch that one could only dream of. The inside was just right, it was tender and juicy and everything holy and righteous. The first bite was like the first time I heard the Beatles. The divine meat that lay before me was accompanied by a wholesome baked potato and a cup of broccoli. Julius and I Wayna were the waiters names and they were fantastic they kept the flat iron steaks rolling. I always had A1 steak sauce thanks to these two carnival cruise line masters. I'll never forget this weekend, the weekend I became even more proud to be an American. -
Oh! I misunderstood your post. I thought you were sad because you thought they were gone for good. Instead, you are sad because your new passport won't have the stamps. I understand now.I know, I've renewed before, but it's a good feeling to look at them every time I fly out of the country. I'll just have to collect some more! :halo:
