  1. Got to give them credit where credit is due, and that is “leave you wanting more” 🤣
  2. X is too busy with disingenuous marketing to worry about making good tasting food...Here's what marketing says about the Beyond's "Eat & Drink"
  3. Anyone is welcome to use any recipe they want, I just wanted to point out with burgers, there's a line (that line is different for everyone) that is crossed when you change the taste and texture so much that you're better off making them into meatballs or meatloaf. FYI, A lazy mans 2-ingredient meatball recipe is to mix ground beef with de-cased Italian sausages meat
  4. But wait, there's more (seriously)! His recipe also calls for coating the patties in olive oil just before putting them onto the grill
  5. Or do what Gordon Ramsay does, when she's not looking, mix in some melted butter (correction, he freezes the butter, grates it and mixes it in)
  6. If anything its improving her sailing experience, it's not making fun of them, as she'll probably comment that this is the best sailing yet because everyone she met so far has been super friendly
  7. My favorites, the thread was on here, something like "my pre-cruise butler is being a pain by refusing to mail me luggage tags, how do I report him?" Another is when one buys their S.O. a top with pineapples (the S.O. has no idea what pineapples mean) and convinces them to wear it on the first day of the sailing
  8. The best deals are once on board booking an appt on a port day
  9. Which is why I originally said ask them next time you try but sounds like you're not interested. I did do the tour and saw how big the washers and dryers were
  10. It's near impossible to find a restaurant who's willing to intentionally serve undercook poultry; the warning generally applies to all beef including not just burgers but all beef like tar tar (raw) and steak, eggs and seafood (sushi/poke)
  11. 630am is when the ship is SCHEDULED to begin letting self-carry off Docking and when you're allowed off are two different things as the terminal needs to be fully staffed
  12. Correct, these are huge washers and dryers, I believe they just stuff the washer/dryers with the maximum amount of passengers bags (if I remember correctly, they remove your contents from the bag, tag individual clothing and place in a mesh bag to wash); can validate next time if you ask them. Same with other requests like cold water, medium heat, delicate cycle, wash my bag in it's own washer/dryer, etc, it all just gets ignored...If you use their laundry services it all gets mixed together and will be washed in hot water
  13. After the TA, May 7th, in and out of Rome There was a conversation rate but I can’t recall what it was
  14. The next time you do this, ask the attendant if they really separate them, I can't imagine they actually would have enough bags with lights only
  15. You can request it either by writing it on a slip or asking in person but they do won't actually do it. They can't use cold water because your bag(s) are just one of many in the same wash and dry cycle so its a health concern
  16. Despite these activities being slotted for 45mins, often they're cut short due to lack of participation. It should also be noted that the OP asked about daily activities and most are offered only once per sailing, not daily
  17. I agree with everything @dateacher and @Georgia_Peaches but the bars; while X is more sophisticated, the newer NCL ships more bars where each can have a different vibe With all that being said, it does come down to which NCL and X ship? Thew newer the NCL ship, the more venues/attractions you get such as for a fee go-carts, but most won't care about that. With X, if you go on their newest ship, while it'll look a lot better, you'll most likely have a simular onboard experience to their oldest ship Daytime entertainment, on X there isn't a ton going on, most sit by the pool to music, some just drunk and some read. Best case scenario, there's a speaker on board and they have two 45mins talks. They replay them on the stateroom TV all sailing long
  18. The larger chain supermarkets around here all sell 73%, you may be google to google the chain and 73% to locate it without going there Very few are grinding "money" steaks like ribeyes or filets, the taste and texture will be a bit different than a "standard" burger. Most restaurants who sell burgers with blends pick their blend ratios and has a butcher shops or supplier grind and deliver the patties to them. The most popular blend, which Wahlburger uses, is chuck, brisket and short rib...The next most popular premium blend, like Five Guys, uses roughly half chuck and half top sirloin As I stated, just buy the american wagyu burgers from costco and/or sams club
  19. To my surprise, the Beyond recently accepted Euros; they were accepted at the tables
  20. If you want to make an early flight 1) Have a backup plan if you miss your flight; know what the airlines policy is if you're unable to make it. Some will re-book to a later flight for free but you have to call them before the flight takes off; some will give you a credit but you're entirely on your own booking a same day flight which could be expensive 2) Use a cab, get cash at the casino cashier, too many issues with ride share including them cancelling rides and the they take 2-3X as long as the ride share app says because there can be congestion at the port checkpoint; a cancellation will probably have you waiting at least 15mins 3) Pull up to the curb side checkin, if the line isn't too long simply check in your luggage there If you follow that above, my two cents is 10am FYI, the worst part about missing a flight is not getting descent seats on the re-booked flights; since it's so last minute, you could be separated and each sitting in middle seats
  21. Out of FFL I've done 8:45, 8:47 and 8:49, that early of a departure gets me to LAX before noon, local time. It's a gamble yet have a plan if I miss it, have Clear and airline status which gets me into the priority ticketing line
  22. It would appear there's some confusion or something, did the ticketing agent agent open your on the computer? The standard is 45mins-3H and it's not uncommon for major airports to accept them beyond 3H
