Purpose is to see why RCL prices are running high. Demand is obviously up for various reasons.

Going Gone sale just posted- prices are higher for the sale than the current rates- over $200 per person on Explorer in December I was watching. Even the Nov. Panama cruise is higher. I guess since these prices do not post during sale times anyway it should not change but who knows.

Of course- you have to tip the stripper more too because they are in college lol

Is some of this demand leftover vouchers from the pandemic? Or is it the unvaxxed pent-up demand? But I see other lines are more reasonable with pricing, so leaning toward vouchers messing things up. Is this data posted in earnings reports?

Anyone that sells the Jewel has no soul. Seriously, these ships go places others can't. Should have kept Empress too. Best ship for food, ports, and service! Many first time cruises on these ships that build brand loyalty.

I would say that is how they keep their jobs, but their (RCL) balance sheet means they should all be fired then.

That crosses a line and I think Royal needs to rethink this. Who wants and unkempt room coming back from shore and before getting ready for dinner? How do these exes get their jobs?

I was just about to post that no one here seems to understand that Coco Cay can be cold in Jan/Feb (and part of Dec and March), not only sea temp but air. The answer would be Coco Cay outside these dates. Otherwise Labadee is great too.

Just found out we are not being refunded port tax after missing Puerto Vallarta last week. Is this legal? I am sure they would have paid port fees if allowed to dock. No substitute port is in play here to offset this.

Went outside- light rain with thunderstorms ahead but at probably a few hundred BATS flying around the ship! Mostly off deck 10, some under the deck 5 promenade. One flew less than 10 feet from me- the squeal in unmistakable as well as the flight. A bunch of white seabirds too (not sure what they are by name). First time seeing that on a cruise- pretty cool. Just north of the Yucatan right now.

On Grandeur now- have not noticed staffing issues. South Pacific Lounge bar is not open but has staff walking around. Food in dining room is really good.
