$16 gratuities per day. How is that divided?
RoyalC replied to blondie from arizona's topic in Royal Caribbean International
In the past the waiter and stateroom attendant always were tipped (suggested) at the same amount. So it would go something like this: Waiter- 3.55 Asst. Waiter- 2 Head waiter- .75 Off by a nickle... of course assuming this is based on traditional tipping. Some people used to tip the Maitre d' depending on involvement too. -
Maximum age on shore excursions? WHAT?
RoyalC replied to ddled's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We also emailed Royal- they specifically said it is the tour operator that sets the age limit to us. We all know this is not true since you can book the same tour operator on your own with zero age restrictions (see: Rio Secreto and others). You can also book on another cruise line with the age restriction. The only logic at all is that this circles back to Royal Caribbean. They are setting the age. But if it is based on RCL insurance, then why, as we are saying, can people do much higher risk activities in certain ports, but not, Cozumel for example? I mean, really- you cannot visit a Mayan Ruin? -

The same tour operators allow you to book private without age limits. They also allow other cruise lines to do the same so which is it? -

Then why do the exact same tour operators allow you to book private without age restrictions, or allow all other cruise lines to book the exact same tour without age restrictions? -
Total prices gets jacked up before you pay?

Third party was fine but the third party I referenced does not answer their phone in any timely manner so not a good move. I called RCI and booked direct, gave whatever codes and got my prices at $150 and $157 for b2b 5-day Grandeur. GTY turned out to be inside mid-ship, same cabin both legs. -
That sounds insane. I know plenty older people in better shape than some 40 year olds.

Just 5th Avenue shopping

Not understanding why the limit is so low on this? It is not for myself but 65 seems a little conservative? Is their some difficult hiking or what is the issue? Is this a RCI age limit thing?

Trying to book a b2b Grandeur at $150 and $157 (plus $100 tax) and when you go to checkout the price rockets to $805.66 and $631,94 for no reason. On one booking at first it said the resident rate does not qualify even though we put the proper state in checkout. This is on top of the fact that after three calls they said they would fix the Going Going Gone sale price on another cruise which has no happened. When are they going to replace the IT Dept?

How was the cruise?... looking at a b2b 5-day from Galveston...

South Beach would have been your bet and their is a nice free pool with music, bar service, food nearby, etc. Games are situated around the island as well. Did they give you a map the night before? -
So now RCL is telling me this is a third party link and not from RCL- What?!?!? This is from the technical support. They say they have no link starting with "creative"
-
So the Radiance price of $499 Panana Canal is not showing up, either before the promo or during the promo which just started- RCL rep has no idea. Edit- now it is showing sold out on most categories while another site shows a ton of cabins still available of course

I noticed- shhhh 😀 Targeting PC cruise

When did the gratituites increase?
RoyalC replied to Ex-Airbalancer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It is wonderful but will all the rate increases banks are still literally paying .01% in interest- I've never seen that before. Your dollar you earned before is getting trashed.
