Just wondering about a good place for dinner.

Try American that is what we are flying from Tx. The only issue we have is the connections in Miami are very tight so staying over one night in Miami going ang returning just to be safe.

I have never heard back from beautiful Barbados so I contacted hotel and they copied this driver on the email to me. He contacted me very quickly and he is taking care of all of our transfers and a few hours on a tour on disembarkation day and drop off at @irport for very reasonable prices.

We have been to Barcelona many times and each time we were in different hotels.

We did a pre cruise many years ago with Regent but it began in Madrid with several days there @nd then took the high speed train into Barcelona to board the ship. A Regent and it was great. We have been to Barcelona many times @nd have all the other times just hired our our tour guides. Look on this site for great recommendations . We love Barcelona.

Once we’re in Juan Carlos and talk about far away from everything that hotel was in BFE. The next year they were still using that hotel so we booked our own . The Hotel 1898 is a great hotel and a great location.

What company did you use for your transfer and tour to airport.? Where did they meet you ?Did you have a long walk with luggage to meet the driver?

My TA assured me that Regent was not changing the embarkation/debarkation port. I made our air and from Austin for basically the air credit received from Regent. Majority of the time we pay the deviation fee and go with Regent but concerned that the flights I want will not be available so decided to go forward with the booking . Regent according to TA is not going to provide transfers or hotel. So air , Barbados hotel, and excursions are completed. Just need hotel in Miami and transfers. We have a busy summer. Needed to clean off some of my plate.

I just spoke to regent and they are offering the flights but no hotels or transfers even if you book their air. The only credit given is the $300 hotel credit. This is saying that everyone is basically on their own once you arrive at the airport in Barbados. Ugh

Taxare We booked the Hilton. Have you made any arrangements for transfers from Airport to Hotel and Hotel to ship? I am debating booking my own air . Our best option in American from Austin to Miami with spending night in Miami going and returning just to be safe with the air. Most of the time we use Regent air but Austin is not a gateway and the flights are economy and the flights are not very long if you do the layover for night in Miami both ways. Also no stress making the next flight. Nonstop from Austin to Miami. Wondering about the transfers both ways? I just read that in 2025 Regent changed this cruise and will cruising from San Juan both ways instead of Barbados. They notified those that had booked off the change. Hoping they don’t decide to change ours. That is why I am concerned about reserving everything if they do make a ch@nge.

We will be on a cruise from Barbados to Barbados and will need transfers from Hotel to ship and from ship to Airport. I just read that you might have to exit terminal to meet transfers and that to the ship might drop off at port and not at ship. Any suggestions as my husband cannot walk a long distance.

We are booked on the Splendor for the Barbados to Barbados cruise in Feb of 2024. We learned they are not supplying the hotel pre cruise overnight stay and I booked the Barbados Hilton the least expensive room and for 1 night $600. They are not sure about any transfers. I am beginning to wonder if we just need to cancel the cruise. Flights to Barbados from Texas are very expensive and continue to increase. We would need to spend the night going and coming in Miami due to connection issues. Any thoughts. This looks like a great cruise but if they are going to change things around and we have reservations what a mess.

We are on a cruise from Bridgetown Barbados to Bridgetown in Feb 2024. Not an easy place to fly to. The best option we have coming in from Texas is to spend a night in Miami going and returning. We need something near the airport that has a shuttle service to and from airport. Not anything fancy just a place to lay our heads over night. Any suggestions.

Wendy, The flights from Austin Texas to Barbados are terrible with long layovers. Also Austin is not a gateway city so more cost. We are flying on Southwest to Miami on our own dollar spending the night and using Miami as our Gateway city so no extra chg. Hopefully we can get on the coach class American flight nonstop to Bridgetown to and from. On the return we have to spend another night in Miami but the hotel near the airport has a shuttle to and from airport and not a very long flight to Austin. This is our best choice.

They will not be offering the pre cruise hotel and are trying to work on transfers but who knows how that will turn out. All we receive in return is a hotel credit for $300 total . I just booked our room at the Barbados Hilton for a mere $598 and that is the least expensive room they had. I did notice when I was searching that many places are sold out for the 25 of Feb. My TA suggested waiting to see if they do end up providing transfers or some compensation for those . They need to let cruisers know about this change. Maybe they need to drop Barbados from their ports if they cannot provide their clients what their ads say .

You need to check with your TA or with Regent as we just booked yesterday and our TA was told they are not offering the pre cruise hotel as too expensive. We have not made our deposit waiting to see what is going on here. I will let you know if I find out anything regarding transfers . Also from UK to Bridgetown is across the Ocean. Regent seems to becoming not all inclusive as they advertise.

My concern is booking all these things on my own and then Regent cancels the cruise.

They do give the hotel credit but will not cover the room rate or provide breakfast or pay for the transfers . All of this is advertised as included and now they are saying they are not providing these and very little compensation to cover the cost to the client. This to me is false advertising.

I just booked this cruise and when the TA sent the booking it had a Hotel credit of $300 total. I called and stated I was using Regents air from Miami and also the one night pre cruise hotel that Regent is providing. He said Regent just informed him they were not providing a pre cruise hotel in Barbados any longer. The cost is too much. What is going on here? I am losing confidence in Regent. Then my question was what about the transfers from airport to hotel and hotel to ship? If everyone is staying at many different locations what is going to occur ? This change is not stated in any books or flyers I have received from Regent. Have any others received info like this for your cruises?

I have been researching and decided it best if we fly from Austin on our own dollar on Southwest a nonstop to Miami and spend the night going and returning and use Regent air from Miami to Bridgetown a hopefully get the flights I want on American nonstop to Bridgetown from Miami both directions. That way we will be assured of not having any long long layovers.

We are looking at a Splendor Cruise from Barbados to Barbados and wondering if this qualifies for business class air?

Do the owners suites on ACL have showers or do you have a tub shower combo meaning you have to step into a tub to shower? We have never been on this line and would like opinions. Most of our ocean cruises have been on Regent Seven Seas and everything is included. Open bars all the time , free internet, free excursions, and a free hotel pre cruise, and airfare.
