Brodysmum, I feel bad what you experienced, but at least you received something. we were on a 28 day HAL cruise in 2019 in a room with smelly moldy carpet water coming in from room next to us that was wet as soon we arrived onboard for our cruise & standing water in bathroom, it took 22 days before we got only ONE night in a new room, we paid for a sig suite. Hotel Manager wouldn’t even acknowledge, we also finally got a huge noisy fan after that, the room stunk the whole 28 days, unbearable and yes they would only allow us to stay the one night in a another room. We thought about trying to leave early, however we had booked a large outdoor corner cabana that we used all day, every day of the 28;days, so that helped as we would sneak up at night. Wrote letters and no response. On my last cruise I had bed bug bites, but you can get them anywhere. As for fleas, people do travel with dogs. Recently 2 dogs were on my cruise and a magician in the past has travelled with dogs onboard. On Promenade forward there is a potty place for the dogs, this is the first time it really stunk. In my opinion only, HAL does not step up when issues onboard arise and blame the Cabin Stewards, who have nothing to do with the issue. Getting upper management onboard, even Cabin Steward Supervisor to see for self, no one would ever step foot in our cabin. This was only the second time we have ever had a need to complain in over 50 cruises and the worst. Another cruise line offered a downgrade room from a Suite which we gladly accepted and end of cruise a comp cruise in a suite, which we did not expect. Not flaming, but understand where you are coming from. Anything can happen on cruise ships, my DH will not cruise on HAL again and that was his first HAL. If I cruise HAL it’s solo and he wonders why…

FYI, i Had luggage stolen at SeaTac, Delta end of April, flew in early am same day as cruise. Anyone else have problems? still waiting for Police report. Not Holland fault, but Delta, not happy with Delta airlines at all. I didn’t have anything in luggage or on luggage that would have indicated cruising or travel. A lot of homeless around baggage claim. Have heard of others having issues too. Holland staff were very helpful once I boarded. Sandipalms

my experience only; I found the slots to be very tight on Zuiderdam last month. Needed to play max bet to win most were $10.00 bets, still didn’t win much or get enough play. I would rather play in Vegas. Princess was much better at least got more play time.

Well, it was there and Rep I don’t think wants to sell it to me and rooms available. Princess will honor what they send out. Not very happy with HAL right now regarding this.

I like the comment about just standing and opening your door all day to see if a winner, a way to save money in the Casino. Would points add up and casino offers pop up too? Might even come out ahead.

Have a casino offer for several Alaska sailings out of Vancouver with a few out of Seattle. The Seattle offer I want on the list I was informed by my HAL TA was not supposed to be on the list as well as others. Still waiting over a week now to see if they will honor it, Princess would and wouldn’t be waiting.

Discovery Princess, first cruise back from pandemic, I did ask my room Steward on the 2nd day of the 4th if I was getting the upgraded toiletries and I did get them because you have to ask. Sadly the gel mask and a few others have been omitted. I was told gel mask no longer available in full suites either. I got home and realized I did not purchase an FCC (forgot about them), nothing was in my room for it or I would have purchased. My room Steward tried to kick me out of my room at 6:45am when I headed up to breakfast, that never happened before. I didn’t realize we were losing or lost our internet minutes, thanks as upcoming cruises. The mini golf was disappointing, just a putting green with 4 holes. Did anyone else have to ask how to get to the Promenade deck outside, the doors were very heavy and couldn’t see out. I didn’t realize we were losing loyalty credits too. Never made it to the platinum/elite lounge. Very disappointed in the shop with apparel and all shops. After coming off of a HAL ship I found the food selection wonderful and plentiful. I think they changed the Dining Room desert “Love Boat Dream”? I did like my mini suite better than older ships, the longer desk and shelf above and on the side was nice, felt more spacious, might be the lighter colors. Balcony, so tiny like Celebrity. I did view the Sky Suite and after being in Grand Suites on the older ships, I still prefer them, especially the aft Grand Suites, but the outdoor space on the Sky Suite rocks! Was not impressed enough with the full suites either to book one on the new class, was happy with my mini suite and would book it again. HAL Neptune suites still my favorite. Wish the Cabanas in the Sanctuary were fully enclosed like the Royal, for Alaska itineraries would be nice. Princess does offer a lot to do onboard and the shows were good, really liked the comedian and really liked the ship, the atrium is beautiful! My opinion.

Sounds like a good idea, in reality someone can steal it off the carousel take it outside or elsewhere and cut it off, same with the locks. Travel with carryon only.

For a 7 day Alaska cruise b2b on same ship would Vancouver be better than Seattle? Thanks.

Is it possible to do a B2B on same ship 7 day RT out of Vancouver or Seattle to Alaska, Seattle does stop in Victoria. Is it it possible to do a 7 RT out of Seattle or Vancouver on say HAL and same day or following day get on RCCL? is it possible to do a 7 day RT out of Vancouver or Seattle on one HAL ship and same day take another HAL ship leaving same port? Would doing a b2b cruise out of Vancouver or Seattle on the same ship violate the Jones Act? would it be possible in either port to get off one ship and go to another or from one cruise line to another cruise without violating Jones Act. Thank you, Sandipalms

Royal Princess; wanting to book an aft suite with the wrap balcony. Is there any covering or are they pretty much in full Sun? Want a balcony can be out on and not rained on or full Sun when lounging. Would a Sanctuary cabana be better? Thanks, Sandipalms
