  1. In the past I've had noise from the buffet above and another time the Kids' center above. Sounded like a heard of elephants. Haven't been under the fitness center.
  2. One of NCL's great secrets. Nobody knows. As someone said, has been asked and debated for years on here. 25 cruises later, I'd love to be enlightened. Most persons just mentally include all the services charges (tips) as part of the overall cruise package price and then tip cash additionally as they wish. Just wish NCL would be honest and up front about those service charges and explain exactly how the are used as tips for the crew.
  3. These increased service charges NCL keeps adding, along with increased prices for some of the services is really starting to make additional tipping a consideration yes or no. I always have additionally tipped extra for most everything. But now NCL is so far into the tipping business that I'm not sure what I'll do now. I wish we actually knew how much of thee service charges the specific employee actually gets. Would sure help me know how much additional I would want to consider. And this breakfast tip is certainly one to consider.
  4. I tried. Not on a cruise that's booked and past final payment date.
  5. I just did a check in and other than the passport numbers, the rest was stored with NCL or just routine questions. It does ask for you credit card number plus a photo similar to a passport photo.
  6. Unless I'm missing something, why must you check in at exactly the moment of the 21st day? I assume that 21 day mark is just the earliest you can check in. Nothing gained of which I'm aware of hurry, hurry. This isn't like grabbing a seat on SWA.
  7. Googling, various reports say yellow fever is pretty much non existent, including Panama. We've been through twice. I do recommend the book The Path Between the Seas: The Creation of the Panama Canal, 1870-1914 by David McCullough. This will make the trip so much more interesting.
  8. I believe the correct answer on already booked cruises is "before final payment".
  9. I've enrolled. But NCL said no to a cruise I already have booked. Just new bookings only.
  10. Ok. I get two specialty dining coupons from the cruise package and two as a sapphire guest. The rule says can't use twice at same restaurant. But can I use one of each at the same restaurant twice? Issued under two different situations.
  11. I tried booking Teppanyaki. It is not ala carte so the price pops up wanting me to pay now. I'm hopefully using four specialty restaurant offers, two from the cruise package and two platinum vouchers. I had already booked two restaurants. Also, tried to book Cagneys for two different evenings using the two different vouchers. After the first booking, it greys out Cagneys. Don't know if this is a statement or question. Ya got any thoughts?
  12. But this is so much easier and faster because y'all know a bunch about everything. 25 cruises later, you'd think I would. But the question. Being whatever platinum plus is now we get two specialty dinners. Then the cruise package gives two more. Used to be they had restrictions to just certain restaurants. But thought I saw that now they are good for any of the specialty restaurants. Did I imagine this? Or is that correct? Thanks
  13. Have never had anything but a wonderful crew experience on ever NCL ship we've sailed. The crews are a big part of the reasons we keep returning. Love them all. Video from the Getaway a few years ago. You'll notice one or two grumps walking past.
  14. As far as I'm concerned, every crew member can wander the ship as they please. Wouldn't bother me. But at the same time, understand capacity concern....maybe.
  15. MUD SLIDES...mud slides...can you still get those on the regular drink package, or are they an additional charge? How much if so???? No Captain and no Mud Slides....what's the point!
  16. The last two times we've tendered. Has the dock been fully repaired?
  17. Unless things have changed, Harvest Caye prices on food and drink were outrageous. If the ship docks instead of tendering, better off going back to the ship for food.
  18. I just did an unlimited wifi upgrade and checked one person only. Seemed to work ok like that. It only charged for one. We will just share one at a time like we've always done.
  19. I've never seen NCL actually have a "sale" price, although they always do profess that it is such. What does happen is the cruise prices fluctuate up and down constantly driven by I will assume supply and demand for each cruise.
  20. Ok. You would think that after many cruises, I would have this figured out. However, does this wifi upgrade offer mean that both guests must upgrade. Or may just one upgrade and each take turns individually using the wifi.....only signed onto one device at a time. Unlimited Wi-Fi Upgrade Stay connected with friends with this unlimited Wi-Fi Package Upgrade for guests 1 and 2. guest one guest two Upgrade price $10993 per person
  21. Have used SAS several times, but lately Uber.
  22. Issued by NCL, no. Purchased for you by outside party, yes.
  23. NCL just won a $159 million dollar lawsuit against their Azipod manufacturers. But, I actually just wanted to show the Azipoids connected with the article. These are big units!
