Hi, any photos of 11099 on the Epic ? .
I'm 99% sure it has a BBB (Bed by Balcony) looking at the deck plans.
thanks

So apparently we aren’t leaving on timear 7:30. It’s 7:41 as I type and we are still at the pier. We had supper at O’sheenans-tasty fish and chips.
Now on our Balcony on the port side with G,D,& S for sailaway. We are on starboard so will have a good view of Manhattan. The plan is to move to G&D’s on starboard when we get closer to Lady Libby.
If we don’t soon get underway, I may not make it. Fading fast! 3:50 am seems like forever ago.
Last post for a while-hopefully will post in Bermuda on Monday.
Hi , hope you have a fantastic cruise and thanks for the brilliant photos .
Which deck are you on ? We have just booked Epic for later this year .
thanks

Have a fantastic cruise - looking forward to your "live " blog from the Epic.

Thanks ever so much for the reassurance . The cabin we chose is near this "gap" and we didn't want to be near any machinery .
We though it been near the stacks and pool on decks above it would have continued through .
Mid ship cabins all sold out !!

Could it be the lower part of the funnel system ?
-
Can anyone please advise what is in the gap between 12218 to 12236 port side
and 12219 to 12235 on the starboard side on the Epic .
thanks

Thanks to you both ...anyone out there stayed in 12238 on the Epic ?
Thanks

thanks

I have trawled the usual internet sites and Cruise Critic but cannot find any photos of cabin 12238 on the Epic .
Anyone out there who can post some photos ?

Enjoy the cruise. It's a unique ship, for sure. You'll probably either love it or hate it. Most people seem to fall in one camp or the other. I've sailed on the EPIC twice and have enjoyed myself both times. I won't say it's my favorite ship. But, Any negatives about the ship certainly did not impact my vacation in the slightest. As you say in earlier post, it beats staying home. Have fun!
Thanks, MeHeartCruising.
It was a difficult decision ..after sailing on the Spirit (many times) and the Jade (loved the Jade) and last Christmas /New Year on the Sun.
We were looking to book this Christmas/ New Year in the Canaries .The only NCL ship sailing Europe was the Epic .
In the UK we have a food product called Marmite ... you either love it or hate it . It's going to be like the Epic.
As I said ...better than being at home !!!

Thanks everyone for your replies .
We have booked a cabin on deck 12,just off midships ...though 11099 would have been equally good !!!
-
Thanks, everyone .....we are now booked ...on deck 12 !!!

Just noticed on deck 11 near the forward elevators the studio lounge . I though deck 11 was a quieter passenger cabin deck .
Will the proximity of the studio lounge be a less quiet position ?
thanks

Thanks , we are also looking at 11099 according to the deck plans it will have the bed by the balcony .
Anyone out there have any photos of 11099 ?
thanks

We stayed in Epic cabin 12242 (B6 Balcony) back in 2019 and we liked it. I would probably go with cabin 12241 if I were to do it again as its bed is closer to the balcony. The large balcony was pretty large, fitting two loungers plus two chairs and a small table. The balcony is mostly covered by the balconies above, but I wouldn't say that the room is "dark" as a result.
These cabins are just midship from the aft elevators and stairs. (Only about 4 doors down.) IMO, the aft stairs / elevator were closer to areas of interest on decks 6,7,&15.
Unfortunately, Epic doesn't have the waterfront that they have on the Away(+) class ships. There is a lot of open deck space, but its all on decks 15, 16, 17,18.
Hope you have a great time!
Past Epic cruisers ....is there any advantage of a balcony cabin on deck 12 ...over deck 11 . Other than it being one deck higher ? ...thanks .
-
Thanks Brian V and Ixtoras for your replies .... we are considering the Epic ...guess I won't be our favourite ship but it beats staying at home !!!

Looking at the deck plans ...if we were to book a midships cabin would we have to walk to the front or aft for stairs ? ...seems crazy ???
Also on other NCL ships there has been a "promenade" deck where we could walk around the whole ship ...is this missing on the Epic ?
Any favourite B6 cabins with the bed by the balcony ? decks 11 or 12 and are any of these cabins dark because of an "overhang" ?
Thanks for any help .

We are set to arrive in Venice early evening on the 13th and staying two nightsin apartment very close to Santa Lucia train station. Will take train to Trieste on the 15th.
Thanking my lucky stars the scheduled Italy train strike is the 14th and not the 15th although am hoping strike is cancelled because I know fellow cruisers are/were planning on train travel on the 14th.Since the Star is scheduled to leave Trieste at 10:00 pm we’ll have time to drop our bags and see some of Trieste.
Thanks , we are considering the Epic for Christmas/ New Year 2023/2024 and the Epic sails from Trieste and ends at Lisbon. Our flight times will give us 1 night in Venice and 3 in Trieste ...we will fly home on the 5th January 2024 ! Epic isn't a ship I would choose but it's the only one around the Canaries at Christmas.
Enjoy your cruise ...hope you leave a review.

Have a look at Welcome Pickups . We have used them .

Thank you both. We are on a 15 day med cruise sailing from Venice (Trieste) and ending in Lisbon.
We did Lisbon - Lisbon Christmas/New Year 2022/2023.
We were off the ship about 7.30 on the return to Lisbon.
Interested in your plans for Trieste ...are you staying pre cruise ?

Thanks everyone for your comments. The alternative to booking the Infinity is The NCL Epic .
If we booked the Infinity it would have to be a balcony cabin ...not aqua class or higher .
We are platinum with NCL - this would be the first time with Celebrity .
It's a dilemma going bigger with NCL plus drinks package and a choice of speciality restaurants (part of a package) ...or going smaller with the Infinity with one restaurant plus buffet.
