  1. Thank you uktog!! Now I know I'm not going mad.

Yes it is clearer, but slightly annoying when navigating the changed layout. Have you checked your profile yet?

A few members' icons next to the name have vanished, but that may be because they have been changed.

A warning from Cruise Critic would have been helpful.

  2. Hi Jazzbeau and Grandma Cruising.

Thanks for replying. A few days ago, I noticed the CC APP logo changed to a large 'C' with the same yellow and blue colours. As far as I know I haven't changed anything. I only use the APP on my iPad. My husband has compared his view from the APP and we have differences.

BUT I have just checked updates and Voilà, there was one yesterday!!!!! Hopefully you will see a cropped screen shot of the notification. Ann.

  3. The provided products are perfectly adequate.

I always take a pump action anti-bacterial hand wash. Small tablets of soap are provided, but in my opinion they are unhygienic. I place the remains of the soap and container in the bin at the end of the cruise.

  4. Not sure why, but none of the photos of Azamara Pursuit / Adonia on this thread will open for me? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sorry I can't help. Okay on my iPad. 🤷🏼*♀️

  5. Indeed a different survey, but questions based on the same topic.

    Thanks for that confirmation!

I wish Azamara would leave well alone and not try to fix something that isn't broken.

Their prices for a Verandah stateroom have reached our limit and more enhancements, which we do not care for apart from included internet, would surely be an added cost.

I thought the Club Continent Suite filled this role of a Veranda room with frills!

  6. We finally got this survey today (!) filled it in. After a recent Viking Ocean Cruise which was equally as good as Azamara ...if this is the way Az are going we will opt out sadly....

Hi, I received an email at 18.23 this evening UK time, asking me to complete a survey. I don't think it is the same as the one mentioned in this thread, which I also submitted. IMG_7068.thumb.jpg.3432008ad94280c32d0954dd18ab21ae.jpg

This is a cropped screenshot of the recent survey request.

  7. I agree, I would be happy to see the end of Azamazing evenings. I hate having to eat early, in a crowded rushed buffet environment. The hassle of getting 600 people to and from a venue for what amounts to 45 - 60 mins worth of entertainment out weighs any enjoyment. Somewhere in the cost of my cruise fare I have paid for the Azamazing evening so I go, but it is something I could really do without. It is certainly not a selling point for me.

    Totally agree with you!!

  8. Wouldn’t be surprised, or unhappy about this, there was a brief mention of further expansion at the afternoon tea in London before Christmas.

  9. Hi, we were in 8042 last June. There was occasional noise from the deck above, which was caused by the re-arranging of furniture in preparation for White Night or similar. Nothing to keep us awake. The CC suite was spacious and those on the port side have a sofa bed for a third person along with a bath with shower in the larger bathroom. f3a1aec9426e5464b98770805b09e73c.jpg37e76bcee86fa91b337981be55728b34.jpg

As an after thought, I believe starboard rooms would be noisier during the evening as the Patio dining area is starboard.

  10. Hi, we were in 8046 this June and Cynthia is quite right with the bathroom layouts. I prefer a bath, but found the grip on the wall too high to reach when getting out of the bath. There is no handle on the bath edge. I only showered after the first day!!

The pictures should help answer your question. Ann.

  11. Google search produced this information....

    https://********************/cruising-friends/contact-a-cruise-ship/contact-an-azamara-cruises-ship/

    Also this from CC forums....

Friends or family can reach you 24 hours a day via Azamara's Satellite Service. Your friends and family can contact the ship by calling (866) 459-8990. From outside the United States, they can call (732) 335-3297. The cost is USD $7.95 a minute and can be charged to American Express[emoji768], MasterCard[emoji768], Visa[emoji768], Discover[emoji768] or Diners Club[emoji768]. From outside the U.S., additional long distance charges apply.

And this from Azamara web site....

  12. This post has amused us.

We were on the Quest, 29th May for 11 days in a CC suite. Our fourth Azamara cruise and third on Quest. In our room was a navy blue tote bag. We did not use it and only decided to take it home when my husband said it will make another great tool bag!! It wasn't until I unpacked and noticed the difference. One side was emblazoned with the LCV logo!

During the voyage there was an invited gathering of about 300 LCV members. A presentation was made to a husband and wife, who were about to complete 53 voyages on Azamara. In his response, the gentleman mentioned they had at that time spent 50 on Quest and 3 on Journey. He also mentioned that he was once asked "which ship do you prefer?" !!

If they have kept their 53 bags, it would be interesting to know to what use they have put them.

Just for fun, what has happened to your bag once back home?4a4403b9cf7029d13af9dec1b4113e09.jpg

  13. We were on the Journey last June, docked at San Basilio overnight. The Captain actually turned the ship full circle on arrival so that the port side was port side! I can't even remember which side our room was, but the view either way is interesting. Every time we have visited Venice it has been hot, humid and crowded. It is very tiring.

We prefer a higher deck on any cruise and tend to opt for starboard, but if you can, choose deck 7 or 8. Can be some noise on eight from above when furniture is moved in the morning.

    Enjoy your cruise!!

    Ann.

  14. This is something we were puzzled about too.

We were on the cruise before you boarded.

As we booked the cruise pretty late at the end of March, we stumped up for a Club Continent suite. All that was available. Benefits included as many bookings we fancied in the speciality restaurants. Just speak to your butler!! Actually on seeing the table for booking, inside the Windows Café, we decided to book there and then. But all we could secure was 6.30 or 8.30 any evening in either restaurant. We went for early and twice in each restaurant. In between those times must be very popular!!

We were able to book in advance on Crystal. I think it was just once each in two restaurants per week! Further reservations could be made on board.

Maybe Azamara could consider this facility, which would prevent the mad scramble at boarding.

It does seem there are those who board and immediately book the speciality restaurants. As you say, some must have been able to book in advance

  15. Hi, we are on this cruise too and have just dined in Aqualina. It was possibly the most enjoyable meal we have ever had on any cruise ship.

Well done to all those who were involved!

Looking forward to our visit next week.

    Ann & Paul.
