  1. Hi Don,

we are visiting Malta on the Quest, June 4th, from 8am until 11pm.

Our Azamazing evening there starts at 7pm. Not sure where in Valletta the venue is in relation to the docks. It could be walking distance. A bus transfer could mean leaving the ship by 6.30pm. after a rushed dinner!

It's unfortunate for you that there will not be sufficient time to be too adventurous with an excursion during daylight.

Last year we skipped the Azamazing evening in Crete, opting for a quiet evening meal in Prime C, followed by a movie on the pool deck!!

Hope that helps a bit with your plans.

    Ann & Paul.

  2. Hopefully this will be remedied for you soon.

By the way, Azamara have held our details since 2009. Our cruise in May will be our 4th with Azamara and during those years we have been able to update new passport details and book trips without problems. Hope I haven't spoken too soon!

    Ann.

  3. We too are in the UK and use iPads to log on.

Not experiencing any problems whilst updating profiles etc... or looking at Land Discoveries.

Have you been able to see If your booking is Confirmed? Just a suggestion.

  4. Hi,

You can take the forward elevator to Deck 10 and then from outside there are steps up to Deck 11. Ideal for stargazing!

We were on the Journey last June which was well equipped with sun loungers and sofas on Deck 11.

I imagine the Quest is the same or similar.

This is the only picture I have which is the pool area. Also very open to the sky.

  5. Hi, if you click on Stickies the first item posted by uktog back in 2013, titled AZAMARA CABINS THREAD is an excellent read.

Post number 452 shows the link to a spreadsheet created by uktog.

The cabins / rooms /staterooms are in numerical order and is a great source of information.

  6. Azamarajunkie,

I also received an invitation to London, possibly because my location is Essex. We were too busy to attend in December.

uktog whose location is Edinburgh and others, are keen to know the announcement date of 2019 itineraries. It would have been rude not to share that information with them. I hope it has been useful.

  8. I received this information by email today. I live in the south east of England. Manchester is 210 miles north by car from my home and Glasgow is 389 miles even further north.

    Uktog, you may be interested.

These two pictures are screen shots, so do not try the links! Ann.

  9. We are now in possession of the 2017/18 Destination Guide. Only after 2 online requests, 2 emails and a phone call !!

I have taken a look at your cruise details and unfortunately under the heading COMPLIMENTARY AZAMAZING EVENING it still states 'Event details to be confirmed'. I expect this brochure has been compiled for some time, but thought you never know!

Looking at the itinerary with 3 overnights in Venice and no other late night stays, the Azamazing Evening would probably be in Venice. With the Festival being held, it is probably difficult to arrange anything to top that!!

Just noticed the departure time from Venice on 17th July is shown as 9am. The arrival time on 18th in Kotor is shown as 9am. So that's 24 hours at sea. Maybe the departure from Venice is 9pm?!

This should be the link to the 2017 destination guide. On p64. No:1.4, paying the balance is explained along with a direction to charges. No: 1.10.

I think the call charge may be worth paying. Also beware of any Credit Card fee. Use a Debit Card. If this payment was not time critical, a good old fashioned cheque still works.

We always pay through our travel agent, so not sure about online payment. Good luck.

  11. Hi uktog,

These errors are shocking. As you say there is a lack of attention to detail.

10 days ago we both posted on the Exciting News thread started by munch1.

We had pointed out errors by Land Discoveries. Bonnie acknowledged we were correct with our observations and that they would be corrected. So far this has not happened to the Grand Prix details. Also the same wrong information is shown on Facebook.

Bonnie, could you please chase up the LD team?

    Paul.

  12. If you haven't already done so, email Richard Twyman, UK MD, his team should be able to sort out a copy for you.

Thanks for that suggestion. Will sort out his email address.

No doubt two copies are winging there way to me now. I'll drop one in to my travel agent!

I'm sure we met on the Journey last June at the M&M. If so, Hi.

    Ann.

  13. Good to know. The US website still only offers the 2017 e-brochure and the opportunity to sign up for a new printing of the 2017 paper brochure.

Here in the UK, I have twice requested online a copy of the 2017 Destination Brochure. Still waiting.

The eBrochure doesn't have the same appeal as a proper brochure!!

Even our travel agent has problems producing one.

  14. Hi Bonnie, thanks for getting back with an update.

Slightly relieved there was an error, otherwise it would have been embarrassing!

I will take another look at that voyage. A shame it's not until next year.

    Paul.

  15. Hi uktog,

I had spotted the error, but have been engrossed in writing the above observation. So glad you picked up on the spelling of whisky!! Irish and American whiskey has the 'e' of course!!

  16. Bonnie,

I have been checking out this new programme and would normally be interested in the

10 night Classic Grand Prix and Med Voyage departing on 5th May 2018.

BUT, according to the itinerary the ship will be in Monte Carlo on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May, 2018.

As far as I can ascertain, the Monaco Grand Prix is, so far, scheduled for Sunday 27th May, 2018 - two weeks later!

I was in Monte Carlo in 2015 for the 73rd Monaco Grand Prix, so in 2018 it will be the 76th Grand Prix.

What I have noticed is that the voyage is titled Classic Grand Prix, but further reference to the race is Monaco Grand Prix. Very confusing and misleading. The Classic Grand Prix is a race featuring historic cars and needs to be made clearer and is on 13th May, 2018.

Hopefully you will be able to contact the Land Discoveries team who will take a look and clarify the description of this excursion.

    Thanks, Paul.
