  1. We dined at Tuscan Grille on Millie in Alaska. We all had the seafood lunch. "Please sir my I have some more". I think I just ask for another dish. I will say the meal was fine, not great. We used up OBC.
  2. Personally I cant see us buying drinks packages. We upgrade to Premium package if we book aqua class. Any data out there on what % of cruisers book cruise only and want a Premium or Classic drink package. While I'm not worried about my bar bill if I did not have a drink package. Not having to sign is nice.

  4. It might be my eyes or the IT department. With Chrome I cant see the What's included. So I went to MS Edge and it does show What's included. Neither Classic or Premium packages say that soda or water are included. What's included only shows what type of Alcoholic with each package. Classic: Enjoy the drink you want, when you want it, morning, noon, and night, with a fantastic array of liquors, wines for any palate, beers from light and crisp to dark and robust, plus alcoholic drinks up to $10. Wines by the bottle are discounted by 15%. Premium: This versatile drinks package lets you start your morning with fresh squeezed orange juice and a premium coffee, enjoy a frozen cocktail by the pool, and then a glass of wine with dinner. Enjoy all the spirits listed in our Classic Package, plus drinks up to $17. Wines by the bottle are discounted by 20%.
  5. Your butler should be able to open the divider between your 2 balconies also.

  7. My point is that our nation decided in 1984 to change the drinking age to 21. Florida used to be age 18. Personal I think it should be 18. It also mentions ways to give your under 21 alcohol. I dont see a waver mention.
  8. I sometime need a sweater while dining in Luminae. I did ask once on Reflection (S. Caribbean cruise) about dinner at LCG and was told shorts were fine for dinner. In the end I wore long pants.
  9. I live in Washington state where the legal drinking age as far I remember has been 21. Back in the early 1980's I remember Idaho having 19 as the legal drinking age. This changed in 1984. From what I remember is that the US government told the states to up the age to 21 or they would lose road funding. "The MLDA in the United States is 21 years. However, prior to the enactment of the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984, the legal age when alcohol could be purchased varied from state to state." "The 1984 National Minimum Drinking Age Act, [23 U.S.C. § 158], requires that States prohibit persons under 21 years of age from purchasing or publicly possessing alcoholic beverages as a condition of receiving State highway funds. A Federal regulation that interprets the Act excludes from the definition of "public possession," possession "for an established religious purpose; when accompanied by a parent, spouse or legal guardian age 21 or older; for medical purposes when prescribed or administered by a licensed physician, pharmacist, dentist, nurse, hospital or medical institution; in private clubs or establishments; or to the sale, handling, transport, or service in dispensing of any alcoholic beverage pursuant to lawful employment of a person under the age of twenty-one years by a duly licensed manufacturer, wholesaler, or retailer of alcoholic beverages", [23 C.F.R. § 1208.3]."
  10. Because of Celebrity recategorizing the sky suites. The sky suites I liked are now becoming Aqua Sky Suites. I'm not going to pay the extra money for things I dont want. I have one Sunset Sky Suite booked. Just not sure if I want to be that far aft. So I've started booking CS's on the S Class ships. As DH likes the MDR menu over Luminae and specialty restaurants for dinner. The RS is not a good fit for us.
  11. Eastern Med is my favorite area for cruising. While there are many things to see in Rome, I really enjoyed Borghese Gallery and Museum. Santorini to have my feet or body clean by fish. We sailed the Adriatic Sea with Azamara and was surprised how similar Montenegro and Croatia were.
  12. It has been a number of year since we cruised from Amsterdam. Our Celebrity ship was docked near Amsterdam Centraal train station in what I call the center of town.
  13. We got double points for 2 of our cruises in sky suites this year.🤗
  14. This year we sailed twice on Solstice. Sept we were in a sky suite then in Nov we did Aqua with friends. Personally I like the food in Luminae over Blu. Luminae is open for lunch on sea days, Blu is not. I dont see the issue being the food. Depending on your sky suite location on deck 12 you can have noise from the Oceanview Café. Aqua cabin I book center to aft on deck 11. If under the pool area you might get some noise from above. As to Edge class ships. I was very disappointed with the Edge and the limited menu in Luminae. I just booked a CS for Alaska 2024. Solstice out of Vancouver was $4000 less then Edge out of Seattle. Seems like a no brainer. Edge limited food options in Luminae or Solstice with the option of ordering off the MDR menu.
  15. I'm not really sure what I paid. The last 4 were booked online with a discount. There might be a additional cost depending on the piece blown. The photo was the cost pre covid.
  16. Yes I helped with all of them. Not all on the same cruise. Here is my latest jellyfish. Might have to make a 3rd next time on Solstice.
  17. Since the restart we have done 4 cruises. 3 of them have been Alaska cruises. 2 were on Millie and 1 on Solstice. I'm currently looking to book an Alaska cruise for Sept 2024. We have done 1 cruise on the Edge in a sky suite. The Summit would be very nice, but adding airfare to Anchorage and transfer to Seward. I decided to pass on the Summit. The Edge out of Seattle would be the simplest for us. We are 30 mins from the cruise terminal. Solstice out of Canada Place is about a 3 hour drive from Seattle. In my eyes Solstice has the better itinerary. I like Hubbard Glacier, Icy Strait Point and glassblowing. So I looked at the cost for a celebrity suite. Well, I was thinking about giving the Edge another chance, but the cost difference means we will pick Solstice out of Vancouver. Solstice will cost less and has the better itinerary.
  18. This is from Summit Deck 11 Aqua cabins 1114 & 1116. What I remember is when Solstice Class added Aqua/Blu. Celebrity retro fit deck 11 on all M-Class ships to add Aqua 1 cabins to deck 11 and added the dividers from the S Class builds. There were not cabins on the deck 11 before the retro fit. So all M-Class ships were modified.
  19. I saw this magnet last month on Solstice.
  20. I got my SS card at 6 months old when I opened my 1st bank account in 1959.😀
  21. Smokers were not smoking seated at the Sunset Bar. But were smoking/cigars at the table on the port side of the bar.
  22. We were just on Equinox sister ship Solstice and I saw cigar smokers at the Sunset Bar. The bar also sells cigars.
  23. As far as I know at this time the "cruise only rate" are not available for Aqua or Suites. I like having the Al package. 2015 was the last time we booked below Aqua. We are Elite Plus.
