Also if you win a bid for a suite, you will only get the "extra" suite perks mentioned in the bid description and nothing more. For the most part, you will keep only the perks that you currently have and just get a larger cabin.

Thank you for pursing this with Celebrity. Unfortunately, it seems to me that the above response could still be open to interpretation. Maybe it's just me, but, I would be more comforted if someone who actually went through the experience - buying discounted Celebrity gift cards on the AARP website, applying those cards to their Celebrity cruise payment, and then cancelling their Celebrity cruise - could post their outcome so we can understand what happened. How about it? Anyone?????

Hello, My wife and I have a 12 night cruise booked on the Celebrity Edge in 2025 and I would like to get a budget dollar amount for purchasing either a) 3 night or, b) 4 night Specialty Dining packages. Since it will be a while before Celebrity posts these packages and prices on my online reservation, I was hoping that someone with a nearby 12 night cruise could take a look in their reservation and reply to this topic with the prices that they are seeing? Thanks.

Since the Eden restaurant looks into the Eden Bar through a large opening 1 floor up, my worry was about enjoying my dinner without having to get my earplugs. From the above responses, it would appear that its noise levels are not intolerable, but to be safe, I'll make my reservation at 7:00 PM or before in order to be finished and gone before "showtime". Thanks everyone.

It could be worse. The ship's markup for a bottle of their "2-buck-chuck" brings its price much higher than that!

Hello, My wife and I want to make a dinner reservation at the Eden specialty restaurant for our upcoming cruise on the Celebrity Edge. However, I've heard that the high noise levels coming from the Eden Bar's loudspeakers and shows can prevent conversations in the Eden restaurant. Since we would find high noise levels during our dinner totally unenjoyable, I'm hoping that someone who has eaten in the Eden restaurant (on the Edge or other Edge class ship) for dinner can tell me if they experienced this? Thank you.

Great suggestion! I was very hopeful when I saw your post, however, my cruise is on the Millennium in Japan in March next year and Celebrity is no longer posting this cruise in their list of available cruises. Drat!

Hello, I successfully booked my flights for my upcoming cruise using the "Flights and More" section for my reservation at celebritycruises.com. When I now look at my reservation in the "Flights and More" section now, I see my flights correctly listed there. I now want to do some research to see if the prices for my current flights have gone down or if there are other flights now available that better suit our schedule. However, I do not see a way of doing this research online within the "Flights and More" section. Can somebody either 1) direct me to how I can do this online or 2) tell me that the only way to do this is by telephone? Thanks.

I was told that full symptoms develop in less than 2 days and we’ve been at sea that whole time with no ports of call. So, it happened on the ship.

We’re now on the Koningsdam where my wife picked up a norovirus. She had a very rough night, spent most of the day in the medical center, and is now resting in our cabin. The medical staff were great but I’m now expecting a bill for their services and was wondering if anyone with experience in getting a norovirus while on board a HAL ship ever got HAL to accept their responsibility and drop or lower the charges? I kindly ask that people respond who also got a norovirus. Thank you

First of all, "on three different HAL ships" - I was on the Oosterdam and that's not what they did on my cruise. The temperature outside was warmish, but, with a strong wind blowing off the water. At the appointed time, all passengers were directed to go outside and stand by their lifeboats. This took a long time because some passengers could not distinguish lifeboat station 9 from 8, which was on the opposite side of the ship, etc. Then, while still outside, all passengers keycards were scanned at their individual lifeboat station by various crew members. When passengers were found at the wrong station, they were directed to make their way through the overcrowded outside deck to their correct station. After the keycards were scanned, several passengers were found to be missing. Broadcasts were made over the loudspeakers and crew were sent to their cabins to fetch them. When all passengers were found, brought outside to the right station, and had their keycards scanned, then the 7 horn blasts were sounded and we watched as the crew donned their lifejackets. After that, we were allowed to go back inside the ship and get out of the wind. Secondly, "That is the way the drills are currently conducted on all HAL ships". You were obviously not on my cruise because that is not how they conducted our drill on the Oosterdam. I stand by my post to newtocruiseinblue that the Oosterdam would not be my choice for a cruise at this time. P.S. - We also had to wait 2 hours, in line, outside, with no bathroom access to get back to the Oosterdam from one of our tender ports. The hundreds of people lined up behind us had to wait even longer. I suppose you're going to now post that HAL didn't do this, too.

Just got off the Oosterdam a few months ago and cannot really recommend it at this time. The entire crew seemed to be a work in progress resulting in noticeable service gaps. Everything from making passengers stand outside in the cold and blowing wind for over 45 minutes before even starting their life-jacket/lifeboat spiel to consistently waiting over an hour for food in the main restaurant to totally running out of turkey on Thanksgiving to taking 3 shots at clearing a hairplug in our shower each time telling me it was now fixed (it never was). Maybe they'll get their act together sometime, but, right now I wouldn't pay good money to do that again.

Maybe I missed something, but, does Holland America do anything special for people celebrating their wedding anniversary while onboard? Of course I know that I can pay extra for things, so, I'm only interested in what they do "complimentary" for the occasion. Also, I've noticed on other cruise line websites that they specifically ask if anybody is celebrating anniversaries or birthdays while onboard. But, I'm unable to find anything like this on HAL's website. Did I somehow miss this? Can somebody point me to where I can do this on HAL's website? Thank you.

My wife and I got 4 out of our 5 points yesterday. Geesh. Checked again today and we both got our 5th point posted. Double Geesh. I think Celebrity just likes messing with people.

Could you click on one of the 10 shore excursions and see if it takes you to a description of that excursion or to some other page?

When I look at my March, 2024 Millennium online reservation using Celebrity's "Manage Reservation" hotlink, I now find that its no longer possible to look at shore excursions or any of the usual onboard options. As a matter of fact, the display of my reservation looks really unusual. Is anyone else getting the same thing?
