  1. So now.....any personal recommendations for car service companies that are "tried and true?"
  2. As always, you guys never cease to amaze me! Thanks so much for the valuable info!
  3. Trying to decide if we need to spend an extra day post cruise in Rome as the flight times are not working out so well at this point.....BA AND American keep changing things..... So what do you all think about trying to make a 12:45 pm flight out of Rome? Thanks in advance... DC
  4. My "old" contacts for NCL have left CAS and as we have recently been using only Oceania for cruises....(and THIS gal was supposedly promoted?) I am out of the loop as far as how to contact them.....as we have another trip coming up and I need to update my Credit Line etc.... Also, if anyone DOES know who is handling the CAS bookings for Oceania and Regent now - that would be greatly appreciated! Best! Debby
  5. Thanks for the bad news.....and funny thing is that his WIFE was enjoying the jacuzzi on a recent trip as they were in the Vista Suite directly above....and she and I would "chat" about the weather and how we were enjoying the jacuzzi with COLD water due to the unseasonably hot weather.....we also chatted about my champagne usage....lol! Seems I always had a glass in my hand when outside.... But they ARE showing their age on the Riviera at least......happily I will have at least two more chances to enjoy them in the coming year....
  6. Only downside for the Vista Suites on the "Vista" is that I do NOT see a jacuzzi on the balcony....something that we have enjoyed tremendously.....hope that I am just missing it?
  7. WE have done it both ways and def the paid deposit is preferable and where we have had better luck. Also....we have had to CANCEL three cruises 3 weeks or less before sailing....so these things DO happen. Especially post covid as everyone is now more inclined to have trip insurance and therefor not as afraid to cance.
  8. They were....but we were hard pressed to find many differences. New carpet was the only noticeable feature that we noticed. There may have been more? But again.....nothing new in the bathrooms (they are already pretty nice!) and the layout is exactly the same. I "think" that the desk may have been a bit different? As I remember my husband complaining about something.....but who would notice a desk being changed??? HE would as he still works/studies nonstop - even on a cruise! lol
  9. I inquired as to whether or not they had these two products or anything "similar" to these products or similar ones were always available for sale.......as after 50+ cruises I was surprised to find nothing available for even a simple headache. And also "Just curious" why would this matter? as in if the products were on display?
  10. Another issue that I have encountered when having to complete these onboard - is that there have been situations where the "powers that be" forced the "offenders" to contact me personally by telephone!! Which was nothing short of UNCOMFORTABLE....I would much prefer to complete this surveys once I have returned home. And for those curious, the one example was that I complained a bit about not being able to purchase Tylenol or Advil in the gift shop....and was told by the staff that it was in violation of the WHO rules? as in World Health Organization.....and I thought that a silly reason but was ready and willing to just accept the fact and planned on visiting the CVS in Puerto Rico the next day - which we did..... But I received a phone call from the poor manager of the gift shop trying to explain to me why Oceanis was not able to sell Tylenol., etc.....I still say that it was due to management wanting to know if anyone had fever symptoms? As the gift shop kept referring us to the Health Center....but who knows? I do know that If I would have wanted to have it OUT with the store manager, I would have continued my argument when this situation first occurred. It just made it uncomfortable for me to go back to the gift shop for ANYTHING.....due to this chain of events. Had I been able to do the survey at home? I could have been more thorough in explaining and would still have felt comfortable spending more money in the gift shop....
  11. We are in relatively good shape and did find it daunting while here for an overnight AND departure. The walk to the buses for disembarkation took a toll....especially as we had our carry-ons to haul. So I totally agree with the previous poster to send as much as possible with the porters.
  12. I have also asked for a "better" bubbly choice and have always been successful....
  13. I have never seen a sandwich in this lounge EVER....only thing we have encountered are those awful dry-tasteless cookies.....but also, we did not starve! Just could not figure out why people even bother to go into these lounges? Other than for soft drinks or coffee.....but we had those unlimited in our stateroom.....so the "allure" of these lounges escapes me....
  14. My husband signed up even after the first class had taken place..... as the artist was there and the studio was open and we were on our way back to our room....Hubby saw the open door and was curios and went in to speak to the instructor and signed up then.....The problem that we encountered (and not certain if this is the case with ALL of the artists in residence) but it was more of an entire course of lessons and you were expected to go to al 7 or so of them. It worked out fine for sea days but sort of put a damper on others when having to factor in the class times when scheduling shore excursions, etc....Again, not sure if this was just this one particular artist or not.
  15. You have written such a thoughtful post! And I applaud you for your sensitivity and insight. And as for the Vista Suite on Deck 12? We have sailed in Vista Suites on Decks 8, 10 and 12....and Deck 12 wins for SURE! It is just SO nice to walk a third of the way through the ship and be at the pool, Terrace Cafe.......also very convenient to the Private dining venues, art classes, cooking classes....pool deck bars......we always ask to be "wait listed" for Deck 12 Vistas when we are already booked in other Vista suites. So be VERY happy with your Stateroom selection! WE are a bit disappointed as it appears that the Vista Suite on the "Vista" doesn't even have a jacuzzi on the balcony. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on the Caribbean trip more than the Europe and Mediterranean ones as we weren't always rushing from port to port....and some ports we chose to just lay on the balcony and enjoy the jacuzzi. There have NOT been televisions on the balcony on the Riviera for the past four years however....
  16. I find it easier to set up a credit line with the Casino dept in advance. You can draw against it as you wish....and only have to write them a check at the end of your trip for the amount that you have been advanced. No fees, etc....BUT you do have to apply and get the credit line in place before you cruise...
  17. It's not only the $2 or more fees.....it's that there is a limit to how much you can withdraw using an ATM account method.
  18. I know that they do in Polo.....all of the above and Bernaise....and I have also ordered Bernaise in the main Dining Room.
  19. But still on hold again......7 minutes and counting......geesh!
  20. You all are GREAT! I will try calling again....
  21. Cannot remember if we can book and PAY for Shore Excursions before final payment or not...and I DID try calling Oceania and was on hold for 10 minutes...so thought I might just ask you all.... Thanks!
  22. I totally agree! And I have been asking my husband (who has Type 2 Diabetes) why he insists on going into the Concierge Lounge on our way back to our suite....to grab these TASTELESS cookies! I mean for Pete's sake.....there are other ways to misbehave and blow your diet!
  23. OMG! Count me in for a mutiny, strike....whatever needs to be done to get a better champagne by the glass onboard! Not sure if you are paying by the glass but I have been paying approx $58 per day to drink this stuff......and would love anything better! Geez....even NCL serves Veuve by the glass in the French specialty restaurant...or at least they used to?
