  1. I was on in June and they still had the Princess furniture there and were waiting on the arrival of replacement furniture (for smoking area, Mosaic tables and probably more) not sure if it has arrived yet...not back onboard till December
  2. I was on B2B on Onward in June and they were awaiting delivery so no bags at that point I am guessing you boarded in Istanbul (with the bags) when I got off 🙂
  3. yes, if you want a balcony you would book a balcony and the price will currently be lower than usual due to the promotion. Fellow solo traveller here...love Azamara
  4. If you are referring to the current offer then it is Oceanview to Balcony. The prices shown already account for this so if the cruise is included in the offer you will see the price for Oceanview as the same price as an inside and the price for the Balcony is the price that would, without the offer, be the price for an outside You will also find that there is no difference in the grades for balcony (usually V1, V2 and V3 are different costs) all are the same price.
  5. yes there are - I used the European sockets...Onward also has UK sockets
  6. the 270 days is relevant to the original vaccine, not the booster the booster does not (currently) have an expiry I am over 270 days since booster and am fine to travel to Europe (am not (currently) in scope for any further booster which is only being given to certain groups in UK)
  7. I think Tony is due to go home on leave some point this month Martin Lawson...met him on Journey, fellow Scot and good guy (Eric was on in June so assume he is currently on leave)
  8. not on website any more. If you use social media, there is an Azamara Reminiscing group on FBook that often mentions who is where. Lee posted up the info from each ship a couple of months ago but likely out of date now
  9. I was on Onward in June and was able to view my account on the TV (used it to track what OBC I still had left to spend :-))

    COVID TEST

there is information on the website regarding both testing requirements (not required for Barcelona) and vaccination requirements https://www.azamara.co.uk/booked-guests/before-you-board/explore-well-at-sea my recent cruise on Onward (from Ravenna) someone ended up travelling solo as their travel companion was denied boarding as they were vaccinated but not boosted (and their last dose was over 270 days before)
  11. I found mine (quoted above) on Guest Copy paperwork under Before You Cruise – Essential Information Alcohol & Smoking Policy
  12. Johannes is on Quest Eric is now on Onward (after 12 years on Journey).. cruise director on Journey is now Stephen Millet
  13. the up to 100% off is dependent on your Circle Membership status, if Discoverer or above then indeed the 100% would apply in a CC suite If someone has no status they would get 50% off the voyage fee ($19.95 per day) and may just decide to use the included minutes rather than pay the other 50% You will choose when you first log your device on whether to take the included minutes or full voyage (if the latter, the second screen will show the adjusted cost)
  14. my Onward cruise paperwork for December shows ". You may bring your own favourite spirit, beer or wine for private consumption in your suite or stateroom. If you wish to consume your spirit, beer or wine in any shipboard restaurant, bar or dining venue, each bottle is subject to a corkage fee of $25."
  15. received for 11th June Onward cruise today...earlier than expected! was on B2B so hopefully (based on @almostnewtocruise post above) the 18th June one will follow
  16. I believe 2pm is the earliest time at all ports currently. Everyone off by 9am and deep clean of ship
  17. It was open in June (excluding a few nights..eg white night) I ate there a few times
  18. There is currently a limited time offer on the UK website for COMPLIMENTARY SINGLE CATEGORY UPGRADE + $500 ONBOARD CREDIT I have my eye on Onward 1st December which appears to fall into that criteria however the balcony cabins are not flagged as the FREEUP offer (only the OBC) Other categories are and I have looked at the cruises before and after and they include balconies also so not sure whether this is a website miss. Given that the price of the balcony went up £700 with this offer I am not sure whether the let it pass and see what may come next or to brave the phone lines and query - will they just see the price is on the website or will they notice the FREEUP has not been included? In addition I received an email (6th July) saying if I book before 14th July there is an additional $500 "That's on top of our existing offer where you already get a complimentary single stateroom updated (sic) and an added $500USD in onboard credit. That's $1000USD to enhance your voyage...." nothing shows on the website re this and latest email today just reminds on the cabin upgrade + $500....previous one an error maybe? anyone else come across these anomalies? I am now considering the 12th December as quite a saving but 1st would be my preference.
  19. I did a 60 minute transit in Amsterdam in May (Edinburgh to Rome)...was a chaotic weekend and KLM were offering rebooking with warnings it was going to be mega busy I packed enough in my hand luggage to last till day 4 (next flight would not have got bag to ship on time then sea day then small port..) Passport control was queued down the terminal but they called those with imminent flights forward at 5 minute intervals (I got there when they were calling 09:30 flights and was told to wait in queue till they called 09:35 flights) Amazingly both me and bag arrived!...not a good experience for blood pressure though.
  20. still probably a saving to be made I am guessing an 11 night cruise running numbers roughly, to get your Ultimate drinks, wifi and sp rest would cost $177 on top of your OBC the package would cost $99 + drinks upgrade...but for the extra spend you get the $300 excursions.
  21. is the $130 the "Complimentary Internet (120 minutes) or $130 towards a full voyage unlimited package" or some other offer? (will make a difference to the sums...and reduces the factored in wifi cost benefit)
  22. did this last month, was connecting from Edinburgh via Paris. Paris flight delayed. 5 of us taken in a people carrier rather than a coach, ship was due to sail at 6pm...we got there about 10 past and were rushed through last to board (booked as package)
  23. on my last cruises...Quest (May) and Onward (June)...White night has been back...and what great nights.. (It was Bright Night on Journey in December)
  24. whilst it is 'possible' to still test positive in a PCR for 90 days, the average for a negative PCR test is likely in the 20-30 days mark A Lateral Flow Antigen test would likely be best bet as would be common to be negative within 12 days (often less)
